In one incident, three male subjects pulled a 32-year-old man out of his car and punched him in the face. He escaped in an inner tube. The robber then stole his diamond engagement ring and fled the scene. The ring was recovered at a pawnshop.

In another incident, a woman in Wisconsin advertised her diamond engagement ring for sale on Craigslist. She met a potential buyer in a parking lot, but ended up getting robbed.
