Y&R is #1 daytime drama for 28 years

The Young and the Restless has been the number one daytime drama for 28 years. It has won over 1,457 consecutive weekly ratings and has remained the top daytime show for 15 years. In fact, it is the highest rated daytime program overall among women between the ages of 25 and 54.

The series began broadcasting in March 1973. At the time, the show was based in the fictional Midwestern town of Genoa City. A feud between Katherine Brooks (Jeanne Cooper) and Jill Farren Phelps (Michelle Stafford) became the show's main theme. This feud became the longest-lasting rivalry in daytime television history.

The show has aired on several UK TV channels. The UK Living channel picked up the show in 1993. However, the network merged with Sky in November 1990. With the merger, the show's contract was not renewed.

While the Young and the Restless has lost stars over the years, it has managed to survive the contraction of the daytime drama scene. The series now averages more than the late-night shows.

The Young and the Restless Episodes Today 2023

the young and the restless episodes today 2023

If you have been a fan of the Young and the Restless episodes in the past, you probably have wondered what would happen in the series in the future. It is hard to imagine, but there are plenty of scenarios that could play out in the future, and some of them might be pretty cool. Read on to find out what they might be.

Vail Bloom

Vail Bloom, the actor who played Heather Stevens on The Young and the Restless, is returning for a big time comeback. And she isn't the only one. She's joined by fellow actress Lily Brooks O'Briant, who has already done her share of high profile roles.

Aside from her role on the hit CBS show, Vail has also appeared in movies, dramas and television shows, both on and off the screen. Her most recent film is Too Late.

While she hasn't had a major role on "The Young and the Restless" in more than a decade, she is making her return to Genoa City next month. During her absence, she's also been busy with other projects. This includes a role on the reality TV series Vanderpump Rules.

When it comes to her return on the show, Y&R didn't reveal how long she and her daughter Lucy will stay in Genoa City. It's a given that they'll be around for at least a couple months, but that doesn't mean they'll be doing everything.

So how does this newcomer compare to her predecessors? First, she has a Bachelor's Degree in architecture from Princeton University. Second, she's an avid world traveler. Third, she's got the acting bug. Lastly, she's got the eyes.

On top of all of the above, she received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her role in the television series. With her return on the show, fans may be able to see an ad hoc reunion between Daniel and Lily after the scandal that erupted earlier this season. If so, it may even be more than a mere coincidence.

But while there's no denying that Vail's return is a big deal, we don't know if it will be a boon for the show.

Lily Brooks O'Briant

Lily Brooks O'Briant has appeared in several television movies and shows, including The Big Show, Crash & Burn, and Amazon Prime's The Tick. However, it is her portrayal of Lucy Romalotti in the new series, Feux de l'Amour, that will probably bring her fans a ton of buzz.

Y&R has been a mainstay in many households for decades, and in celebration of the show's 40th anniversary, Y&R is bringing back some of the fan favorites from the past. Notably, the character of Heather Stevens will return to Genoa City in February, and her daughter, Lucy, will be making a special appearance.

The "Young and the Restless" has always been known for its complicated love stories and innovative storylines, and the latest additions to the cast will further elevate the show. While the show will not go back to its heyday, the cast of characters will be as diverse as ever, with a number of returning fan favorites set to make their first appearances in the near future.

Other notable additions to the Y&R roster include the return of Zach Tinker as Fenmore Baldwin, Michael Baldwin's son Sean Kanan, and Denise Crosby's return as Carolyn. In addition, the aforementioned new series, Life by Ella, will also debut, with an impressive list of guest stars including Hayley Kiyoko, Judith Chapman, and Julian Larach.

This year's Christmas specials from Netflix will make their debuts this December. With the popularity of the streaming service and the recent announcement of Apple TV+, fans will be able to look forward to more original series and Christmas specials in the coming months. We'll keep you updated as more news breaks.

Dirty Celebrity Laundry - The Young and the Restless 2023

dirty celebrity laundry the young and the restless 2023

The Young and the Restless is a new show that follows two couples - Jack and Kyle and Phyllis Summers and Diane Jenkins - who are all living in the same town in 2023. Each has their own set of troubles and the show focuses on the drama of their daily lives. Whether it be Jack and Kyle trying to get rid of Jeremy Stark or Phyllis trying to get rid of Diane, the show is filled with twists and turns that make the audience go crazy. It has everything from romance to pranks, and is one of the most fun shows on television right now.

Phyllis Summers plots to run Diane Jenkins out of town

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) is a CBS daytime soap opera. It airs weekdays and streams on Paramount Plus. This season, the show will feature a take down plot starring Tucker McCall and Phyllis Summers.

Phyllis Summers has been fighting with Diane Jenkins for years. They had a rivalry that dates back to 2001. Earlier this year, they reignited the battle. Now, Phyllis plans to take down Diane.

Phyllis and Nikki are about to escalate their quest to destroy Diane. But before they can get to Diane, they must take out Jeremy Stark.

Jeremy is coming to Genoa City. Jeremy could kidnap Diane's grandson Harrison Locke. He will also reveal secrets about Diane's past. In the process, he and Phyllis will cause chaos.

Phyllis is convinced that Jeremy will run Diane out of town. She will try to destroy her plan. However, if she succeeds, she will lose everything.

Jeremy may also be involved in another plan to take down Diane. It will be a matter of when, not if, he will do so.

Phyllis and Nikki have a lot to gain if they can take down Diane. If they can successfully do it, then Jeremy and Summer may offer Phyllis a promotion at Marchetti.

Phyllis has a lot to lose if she doesn't win. Her baby Daniel is very sick with bacterial meningitis. His life is at risk. Moreover, Phyllis doesn't play well with others.

Y&R fans have been slammed on Twitter for Phyllis's behavior. Some of them blame her for burning down Genoa City. Others are adamant that Phyllis is a liar.

Nikki uncovers her nemesis' latest scheme

Nikki Sharpe is currently in California to find Deacon Sharpe. She wants him to reveal Diane's secrets. It seems like Deacon's involvement in Diane's downfall might have been a factor in the faked death.

Nikki has long felt guilty for killing Diane. Her latest scheme is to expose the truth behind her nemesis. This will cause her to become vengeful towards Diane. But it will also make her pity Kyle.

Diane has been a target of Ashley Abbott, who has been trying to ruin her since she returned to Genoa City. The two are now public enemies.

Neil, Nikki's husband, is a mess. Hilary has become amnesiac, believing that Neil still loves her. However, Nikki is still concerned with her relationship with Victor.

Nikki was once married to Deacon Sharpe. They divorced after Diane's murder. David Chow worked as Nikki's campaign manager. He had a gambling problem, and he cheated on her life insurance money.

David Chow also killed two previous wives, and tried to kill Nikki. He also arranged for Nikki to marry him, but she decided to divorce him.

Nikki had an affair with Paul Williams. She hid her relationship with him behind a false name. Phyllis has banded together with Nikki to destroy Diane.

Nikki was acquitted of Diane's murder, but she swore she killed her in self defense. Nikki also claimed that Victor shot her because she was a model. Yet, she found fingerprints on Victor's hand.

Nikki will soon have to deal with the fallout of Diane's murder. She will probably try to blackmail Deacon into helping her. And she may also use her alliance with Sheila to get Deacon to spill some of Diane's secrets.

Noah Newman's relationship with Allie Nguyen

Phyllis and Nick Newman have been rekindling their romance. They are making the moves, and if Phyllis isn't re-inventing her life, she's at least attempting to put her past behind her. During the early 20's, Phyllis dated Danny Winters.

Phyllis' first article was titled "Was Adam Newman's Love the Kiss of Death for his Fiancee?" It was a well written piece, but it did little to convince Phyllis that Adam was actually good for her.

She didn't see the point in giving Victor money to run a magazine. Victor was a blackmailer. He was trying to get Michael Baldwin to give Newman prime shelf space. But he had other plans.

At one point, Damon Porter urged Phyllis to move in with him. However, Phyllis wasn't as keen on Daniel as he was. In fact, she didn't like the fact that he referred to her son as "Slick."

Meanwhile, Phyllis joined Restless Style magazine as an art director. She also joined Neil and Dru in Japan. Interestingly, she modeled an engagement party at a roadhouse in New Mexico.

When the financial situation worsened, Jabot abandoned their project. That's when Phyllis got a loan from Dr. Tim for $20,000. And if that wasn't enough, Phyllis was also in charge of an orchid.

Luckily for Phyllis, she was able to return to Newman to hand over her orchid. The rest of the story is a bit murky.

Phyllis' relationship with Jack seemed to be improving, but she still couldn't get over her vendetta against Victor. After a few months, she was finally free of jail.

But that was nothing compared to what happened to Noah Newman. Brad had pulled him from the hole in the ice. Eventually, the two of them were married as an injured couple.

Jack and Kyle face off against Jeremy Stark

If you're watching The Young and the Restless, you're likely wondering what the future holds for Diane and Kyle Abbott. You'll know when the show returns in February. But until then, let's take a look at what's been going on lately.

It's been a rough month for Diane. She's a bit apprehensive about the relationship she has with Jack Abbott. And it seems like Jeremy Stark has gotten more suspicious of her.

Earlier this week, Chance Chancellor found Diane's note under Jeremy's mattress. He also pulled out a search warrant from the Chicago police department. So, chances are, he's going to arrest Jeremy.

But what really happened? Is it true that Stark was trying to find out where Diane was? Did he ever hear that she's been stalking him? Does he own a black windbreaker? Or did he just read the note?

Chance Chancellor has a tough choice to make. He can either follow in Phyllis Summers' footsteps and try to get Jeremy to join the plot, or he can make a deal with her.

Ultimately, he chooses the latter. In the process, he'll probably have to break up with Phyllis. Meanwhile, he'll be working to repair his relationship with Adam. Eventually, he'll try to get Adam out of the Jabot.

Meanwhile, Jeremy's been keeping a vague secret about why he's been in Genoa City. His reasoning is that he needs money. However, he won't leave until he gets it.

Despite his cryptic reasons, Jeremy is still suspicious of his mother's motives. Fortunately, he has some help. Thankfully, Jack is able to step in and protect him.

Taylor's role in Dirty Laundry

In the new season of The Young and the Restless, Taylor Hayes has a lot of work to do. First, she must deal with the fallout from her confrontation with Sheila Carter. Second, she must try to calm down Li and Sheila. Third, she has to fight for the affections of Ridge Forrester.

On the surface, it looks like Taylor's relationship with Ridge is going well. But when she tries to talk him down, things go awry. It's not a good time for Taylor.

Taylor's life is about to get worse. When Deacon Sharpe finds her, she's frantic. Brooke has the advantage, though. And when she gets more information on their night together, she'll have even more.

Sheila Carter is a scary character. Previously, she was the most terrifying thing on the show. Now, she's not the biggest problem anymore. But she's about to get caught.

Brooke isn't going to let this happen. She knows that Taylor isn't the person she used to be. As a result, she wants to fight for her.

She also wants to know why Taylor is hiding the truth about Thomas Forrester. That secret is the source of the trouble in the Forrester family.

But Taylor isn't giving up just yet. She's going to use this opportunity to reunite with Ridge. If she can, she hopes to end their tumultuous relationship.

At first, Sheila doesn't take well to this news. She's not happy with Li. Eventually, though, she agrees to keep the truth hidden.

Meanwhile, Brooke Logan continues to nag Hope Logan about Liam. Even though she believes that Liam should live with her, she has a hard time letting her son go.

If you are a fan of soap operas, you will love this article about General Hospital spoilers for the week of August 1-5, 2012. In the article, we discuss Phyllis Summers' plot to run Diane Jenkins out of Genoa City, Nikki finding out her nemesis has a new scheme, and Noah Newman's relationship with Allie Nguyen.

Phyllis Summers plots to run Diane Jenkins out of Genoa City

If you're a fan of Genoa City, you're likely aware of Phyllis Summers and her plot to run Diane Jenkins out of town. However, you might not know where the real trouble began.

Phyllis was involved in a number of crimes. She was accused of drunk driving, for espionage, and for extortion. Some of her crimes were uncovered by the jury, but others were kept a secret. Phyllis was released after a few months. During this time, she ran into Daniel Romalotti at Crimson Lights.

At first, Phyllis was not very excited about their marriage. When she learned that he was pregnant, she became more interested in regaining custody of the child. After all, she had a toddler.

But when he was hospitalized, she and Danny began to have a close relationship. Phyllis told him she was the baby's mother. And she even went as far as to give him a fake passport in the name of her daughter.

Eventually, Phyllis decided that she and Nick were no longer fun together. She wanted to get out of his life. They eloped to New Mexico. That's when Phyllis began to show signs of a mental breakdown.

Meanwhile, Jack and Sharon had become married as similarly injured parties. It was a case of a love-struck woman who was unable to leave her husband. The two had a baby together.

However, Phyllis wasn't able to give Jack the peace of mind he was looking for. Her bullying had gotten to the point that he feared for his daughter's safety. He threatened to cut her loose from Jabot's property.

Fortunately, Phyllis had a friend who was willing to step in. Paul and Christine had not been informed of Phyllis' hit and run. Tim helped Phyllis see the light. Phyllis was a new person after they were married.

However, Jeremy Stark's new scheme to get back his money may be too much for Phyllis to handle. As a result, she might end up in prison for years.

Phyllis was forced to confront her past and her present. A new love interest made her realize that she had changed.

Nicole "Nikki" Newman is a Genoa City resident. She has four children, including one via Nicholas. Nikki has also been a nemesis of Diane Jenkins, who has been a public enemy number one since her return to Genoa City.

Since her return to Genoa City, Phyllis has banded with Nikki to take down Diane. They are planning to bring investigative reporter Talia Morgan to town to expose the woman's dirty laundry. However, Phyllis has already lost her hotel.

Nikki has been dealing with the aftermath of the Diane Jenkins murder. She was arrested for the crime, but acquitted. This angered Victor. He wanted to force Nikki to get back with him. He hoped she would be the one to blame for Diane's death.

When Nikki discovered that her husband Victor was Joe Clark's employer, she became angry. Victor was in no mood to buy into the omens.

Despite Nikki's forgiveness, she still believes she killed Diane. Diane has since apologized to her for her actions, but she is determined to prove that she did it in bad faith. The two women will face each other again in the Grand Phoenix.

Nikki has been trying to lure Ian Ward back into Genoa City. She may enlist Sheila's help. But she is not sure she wants to take on Diane, who is her longtime nemesis.

Nikki had a rocky relationship with David Chow. Her first husband was Greg Foster. Before their marriage, she had an affair with Paul Williams. After her divorce from Victor, she was involved with David Chow.

Nikki met Deacon Sharpe at an AA meeting. They explored their dark past together. Eventually, Nikki ended up divorced from Deacon. Afterward, she met Harmony Hamilton at the AA meetings. During their meeting, Nikki told Harmony that she had a secret about Diane. That secret was a key to their reunion.

Nikki also discovers that David Chow is a convicted criminal. Deacon Sharpe is a suspect, too. Considering Deacon was at the park when Diane was murdered, he is also likely a culprit.

In addition to his involvement in Nikki and Deacon's scheme, he was a part of a plot to spike her drinks. As a result, she had an alcoholic craving.

Noah Newman's relationship with Allie Nguyen

When Noah Newman arrived in Genoa City, his father, Nick, had a love affair with Phyllis Dawson. At the time, it was not a happy one.

Phyllis had a son Daniel. She was also pregnant. As a result of her extortion scheme, she was put in prison for a couple of months.

During that time, Phyllis tried to make things up to Jack. After spending some time together, she changed her mind and decided she still loved him.

The following year, Phyllis and Nick decided to move in together. Phyllis had moved into a Tack House on Newman Ranch. They were planning a remarriage in Genoa City.

The engagement lasted only a few hours. The marriage was postponed because of the expected death of Dru. In the meantime, Sharon was arrested for theft.

Despite her best efforts, Phyllis was not able to keep Nick from getting pregnant. Nick was convinced that Phyllis was setting him up. This led to another round of court battles.

Ultimately, it all ended in divorce. Sharon got the house on Newman Ranch in a settlement. Adam was cleared of any charges.

Phyllis was also freed from prison after a few months. Several months later, Nick and Phyllis returned to Genoa City. However, a lingering vendetta between Jack and Victor kept getting in the way of a reunion.

There was a lot of drama during this time. A winter ice storm took out the power at Newman. Phyllis and Jack were trapped in the elevator.

Luckily, Nick managed to rescue Phyllis' son Daniel. Although, Phyllis was not too pleased with her son's name. It was only after she gave him an orchid for Christmas that she realized that she was in love.

Phyllis was in charge of a farewell letter to Sharon. Sadly, it was a piece of paper with a crooked stamp. That aforementioned card was actually a trash.

Meanwhile, Nick and Victoria headed to Clear Springs. Victoria was against the project. Billy bought a webzine from Phyllis.

But what was the best thing Phyllis did? She joined Restless Style magazine. Fortunately for the rest of us, she was not fired from her job at Newman.
