In 2022, he was the third highest-paid actor in the world. His biggest paycheck was for the blockbuster Killers of the Flower Moon>>, where he costarred with Robert De Niro.
While the actor was a party boy in the past, these days he is more of a serious and focused individual. He has even adopted a strict workout routine to keep his physique in tip-top shape.
His good looks helped make Titanic (1997) a teen heartthrob, but it wasn't until he took on a more serious role in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet (1996) that his career really began to take off. The movie became the highest-grossing of his career, and he was awarded an Academy Award for his performance.
The film is still considered one of the greatest love stories ever told, and the movie has remained popular for decades. In the early 2000s, he began to focus on more edgy roles and made films such as The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
DiCaprio is a passionate environmentalist who has supported numerous conservation projects and has been an active member of the United Nations Messengers of Peace. He has also produced several documentaries on the environment.
He is also the founder of Appian Way Productions, a company that produces some of his films. He has also been a regular supporter of charitable causes and has donated money to various organizations, including the Natural Resources Defense Council.

When he isn't on the set, DiCaprio often travels to exotic locations and engages in charity work. He supports several conservation and environmental groups, and he is committed to reducing his carbon footprint.
Before he was born, he had a love of the arts and would frequently kick in his mother's womb while she was viewing a painting by Leonardo da Vinci. This prompted his mother to name him after the Italian polymath.
As a child, he moved around various neighborhoods in Los Angeles. He had a tough childhood and suffered from many health problems.
Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood. His stunning performances have earned him many awards, but he's also an avid environmentalist who has become a leader in the fight against climate change. His activism and philanthropic efforts have earned him the admiration of the public, as well as those in the movie industry.
During his early years, Leonardo lived in some of the poorest areas of Los Angeles, where his parents divorced before he was even born. His mother, Irmelin, worked as a legal secretary, and his father, George, was an underground comics artist and producer.
While living in such a difficult area, Leonardo discovered a passion for acting. It was a hobby that would later lead to a career in the movies.
At the age of 13, Leonardo began acting in commercials and appeared in bit parts. By the time he was 16, his talent caught on and he began to get offers from major directors.
He made his film debut in a small role as a teenager in the series Growing Pains, and he's since starred in numerous films. He gained international fame in James Cameron's 1997 epic romance Titanic, which became the highest-grossing movie of all time until Avatar (2009) overtook it.
In addition to his work as an actor, DiCaprio has been an activist on various environmental issues, hosting Earth Day festivities and interviewing U.S. President Bill Clinton on the subject. He's a board member of the Natural Resources Defense Council and Global Green USA.
His passion for the environment and his activism has led him to become an environmental philanthropist. He has established several environmental nonprofit organizations, including Appian Way Productions and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
Despite his success as an actor, Leonardo is still very much a family man. He is a proud son and brother to two sisters, Francesca and Annabelle, and a stepbrother to Adam. He is also a great friend to Kate Winslet, who co-starred in Titanic and The Revolutionary Road.
Aside from acting, Leonardo is also a real estate tycoon. He owns an oceanfront home in Malibu and several other properties throughout the world. He owns a number of luxury cars, including the Lamborghini Aventador.
The name Leonardo was given to him by his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken. She named him after the Italian Renaissance painter Leonardo Da Vinci. When she was pregnant with Leo, she went to see a painting of the famous painter and felt his first kick. The next time she went to a museum, she looked at the painting and thought of his kick. She took the kick as a sign of his future, and that's how the boy got his name.
As a child, he was often rough on his co-stars and was quite the troll. He even had his own fan-fiction.
Born on November 11th 1974 in Los Angeles, California, Leonardo DiCaprio is a highly successful American actor, producer and environmentalist. He has earned an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards and is considered to be among the world's highest-paid actors.
He is known for his many critically acclaimed films, including "Titanic" (1997), "The Revenant" (2015) and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" (2017). He has been hailed as one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema and is known for his distinctive style.
In his early career, DiCaprio was able to establish himself as a rising star in the industry by making films that were both popular and challenging. His first major film was This Boy's Life, which delved into a difficult relationship between a young boy and his abusive stepfather. His performance in this movie led to his nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Later in his career, he also starred in the film "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" in 1993, which also led to his nomination for an Academy Award. His appearance in the movie was a big boost to his reputation as an actor.
DiCaprio became an international superstar after starring in the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic." He earned 14 Academy Award nominations for his role as Jack Dawson, a captain of the Titanic who becomes romantically involved with Mary Kate Winslet's lead character, Juliet. The film was a box office hit, earning over $1 billion worldwide and spawning a huge following of fans.
He has also starred in a number of high profile films including "Blood Diamonds" (1995), "Slumdog Millionaire" (1998) and "Avatar" (2011). He is also the co-founder of the film production company Appian Way Productions.
While most of his movies have been commercial hits, some have been critical failures. For example, his 2005 movie "Parenthood" was not well received by the public, and it was criticized for its tame script.
After a period of quiet in the industry, he returned to the limelight with his Oscar-winning turn in "The Revenant" in 2015 and has since then dominated the screen. He has also been hailed as one of the greatest leading men in the world.
When he is not on the set of a movie, he is a father to sons Giacomo and Leonardo Jr., and is also a husband to a number of women. He is often seen hanging out with his friends and family in Los Angeles, as well as in other parts of the country.
In the past, he has been spotted with a number of different actresses. His most recent girlfriends include Victoria Lamas, a model and daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, who he was spotted with in late December 2022. He has also been linked to model Gigi Hadid, who he reportedly dated for a few months last year.
Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood has revealed that a Fleetwood Mac reunion is unthinkable following the death of bandmate Christine McVie last year.
But the drumming legend says he would love to see everyone in the group, including Nicks and Buckingham, on stage together again one day. He tells Rolling Stone that he has been imagining this farewell tour.
Stevie Nicks has been one of the most influential singer-songwriters in history. Her unique combination of country and rock music has influenced a wide range of artists, including Adele, Tori Amos, Lady A, and Miley Cyrus. She also serves as an inspiration to countless other female singer-songwriters, such as Sheryl Crow and Dixie Chicks.
Nicks has released five studio albums as a solo artist, and she has toured with several different bands. She has also recorded with Fleetwood Mac and has collaborated with other artists.
Her career as a solo artist has been particularly successful, earning her a number of Grammy awards and selling over 30 million albums worldwide. She has also won the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
She has toured the world, performing with many famous artists and releasing new music on a regular basis. Her most recent album, 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault, featured a reimagined version of demos she had recorded decades ago.
Although she hasn’t toured as a Fleetwood Mac member since 2014, Nicks has continued to write and perform her own music. She has also teamed up with other singer-songwriters, such as Sheryl Crouch and Dixie Chicks.
Despite her busy schedule, Nicks has always been open to working with other musicians. She has been involved in several collaborations, including her 2001 album Trouble in Shangri-La, which paired her with Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, and Dixie Chick Natalie Maines.
She has also reunited with Fleetwood Mac for the Say You Will album, released in 2003. The album, which features a range of different artists, has been a huge hit with fans of the band.
The song “Say You Will” has become a staple of Fleetwood Mac shows, and the band often performs it at their concerts. It is especially popular in the United Kingdom and Australia, where it has become a Fleetwood Mac signature song.
On the evening of June 30, 2015, Fleetwood Mac played at a concert at The Forum in Los Angeles. They performed a variety of songs from their catalog, and Stevie Nicks was also on stage.
Fleetwood Mac is one of the world's most successful rock groups, selling more than 120 million records. Their music has been played in countless films, television shows, and radio programs. They have also earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The group began with guitarist Peter Green in 1967 and has gone through many changes since then. In addition to Green, they have had a number of other key players throughout the years, including guitarists Nicks and Rick Vito, bassist John McVie, and vocalist Christine McVie.
In the early 1970s, Fleetwood Mac toured college campuses and small 1500-seat venues. But as the band matured and started touring more often, they expanded their repertoire to include large stadiums. This move was a major turning point in the group's career and helped them become superstars.
They also started performing on tour with a full orchestra, which included a string section and two horns. This allowed the band to really stretch their musical boundaries and bring the audience closer than they ever had been before, according to Fleetwood.
It was this shift that lead to the writing of Rumours, the group's third album, which came out just under four years later. It was a rebirth that ushered in the age of pop-rock and would go on to define the band's career, despite the fact that its songs were often written in answer to the break-ups of members Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie.
But in order to make Rumours, the group had to work hard, and that meant making some tough choices. They had to decide whether to continue with their existing line-up or take a chance on recruiting new talent.
Ultimately, Fleetwood and Buckingham decided that they wanted to stick with the current lineup. They were joined by Mike Campbell and Neil Finn. This change in personnel was a big deal because it meant that Fleetwood Mac could begin working on a new album, and if they had success with it, it would give the band a much-needed boost and put them back in the limelight.
Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood says it is currently unthinkable to think about a Fleetwood Mac reunion following the death of band member Christine McVie last year. He made this comment while attending the Grammys in February, where he performed McVie's song 'Songbird' with Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt during the 'In Memoriam' segment of the awards show.
'Songbird' was written by McVie for Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album and is one of the most famous songs ever recorded by the band, with its catchy chorus, memorable melody and soaring vocals. It's a track that evokes the glory days of Fleetwood Mac, when they were the biggest band in the world.
However, Fleetwood Mac haven't toured in many years. Instead, the band members have devoted themselves to their solo careers and have even embarked on a project called 7 Worlds Collide which features diverse musicians from around the globe.
Finn began his career as a musician in Split Enz, releasing two albums with the group in 1985 and 1991, before splitting up in 1996. In 1999, he formed a solo career and has since released four albums as well as collaborated with various other artists on the 7 Worlds Collide project.
In 2018, Fleetwood Mac announced that guitarist Lindsey Buckingham had left the band and was replaced by Neil Finn of Crowded House. He has also performed with Fleetwood Mac on tour in 2018.
After releasing the album Try Whistling This, Finn continued to perform as a solo artist and collaborated with other artists on the 7 Worlds Collide live performance. He also has released several successful solo albums, including One Nil (2001), Dizzy Heights (2014) and Out of Silence (2017).
Throughout his career, Finn has written numerous hit songs and he also collaborated with a number of artists, including Crowded House, Split Enz and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He has also compiled a large collection of unreleased Crowded House recordings into an album called Afterglow which was released in 1999.
In addition to his work with Crowded House, Finn has released a few solo albums and has toured with various artists, including Stevie Nicks and Mike Campbell. He has also assembled a team of diverse musicians for the 7 Worlds Collide project, which he describes as "a celebration of our music, our love and our friendship."
After a string of solo albums, Lindsey Buckingham finally returned to Fleetwood Mac in 2003. The album, Say You Will, saw him teaming up with Stevie Nicks for the first time in 15 years. The duo went on a world tour and released a single.
But the group’s success remained a source of conflict in Buckingham and Nicks’ personal lives. Their relationship had already suffered some tumultuous upheavals in the 1990s, and their divorces were both finalised in the early 2000s.
So it’s understandable that when Fleetwood Mac started working on a new album, the idea of a reunion was not in their minds. They wanted to make music that they enjoyed and that people liked, but without the hassle of management or a complicated business model.
When they rehearsed for the album, they decided to keep things simple. They wanted to play the songs that they had written over the years and not worry about whether or not they were any good.
They also wanted to avoid any over-production. They wanted to be able to create a sound that was as organic as possible, so they used acoustic instruments, including the banjo and the ukulele.
Their decision helped the band get back to their spirited, unpretentious roots, which became apparent during the recording of The Dance. The album featured songs that Buckingham had played with Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s.
The album spawned some of the band’s most popular and enduring tracks. It notably featured “Songbird,” a tune written by Christine McVie.
While the album didn’t have the success that Rumours did, it was still a major album in Europe and throughout the United States. In fact, it was one of the top-selling records of that decade in the United States.
This may be due in part to the fact that the album was largely made up of covers, including some very well-known hits by other artists. The group’s version of the Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter” was particularly memorable, with its soaring lead guitar work by Buckingham.
While the sonic landscape of the new album is more complex than many of the classic Fleetwood Mac albums, it is still an impressive collection of music. It features some of the best singing in the band’s history, with Nicks delivering some of her finest vocals to date. She’s backed up by an outstanding rhythm section, led by John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.
Fleetwood Mac are one of the most famous bands of all time. They are known for their wild antics and industrial drug consumption, as well as their string of bittersweet hits about their failed relationships with each other.
But it was Christine McVie who really made the band's reputation. She married John McVie in 1970 and played a crucial role on their eponymous debut album.
Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie were the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac, a band that paved the way for women in rock. The two songwriters dominated the group's most iconic hits, such as "Don't Stop," "Everywhere" and "You Make Loving Fun."
Nicks was also responsible for the songwriting prowess that earned Fleetwood Mac their reputation as one of the world's greatest bands. She and McVie penned an array of classics and forged their own unique voices as artists.
She was a powerful presence on stage, whether it was a soaring ballad or the lilting, silky contralto that anchored her voice and provided the perfect counterpoint to Lindsey Buckingham's higher-pitched vocals. Her voice and songwriting commingled with the rest of the band's songs, creating an all-star musical team that influenced a generation of musicians.
The pair's relationship with each other was central to Fleetwood Mac's success. It reflected their respective creative and personal struggles, which were exacerbated by internal conflicts and temptations that came with their newfound wealth.
During the recording of their 1977 blockbuster Rumours, McVie and Nicks split up from Fleetwood Mac for a while. But they reunited in 2014 and toured together for the rest of their careers, performing their beloved songs with new versions featuring both women as vocalists.
While the women's relationship did not last forever, their friendship and support for each other was a huge factor in the band's success. She and McVie were instrumental in redefining how women can relate to each other within a group of male musicians, while fostering powerful frameworks for female friendship.
This is a message that many women can appreciate and identify with today, as feminism continues to be a force in popular music. As a songwriter, McVie's ability to blend her voice with others, as well as her knack for writing uplifting and emotional songs, made her the perfect partner for Nicks.
As a friend of the band, she was instrumental in helping Nicks get through some of the toughest times in their musical career, including the infamous divorce and a tour-ending fight that saw Fleetwood Mac end their 2018-19 tour without singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.
Mick Fleetwood is speaking out about Fleetwood Mac's future after Christine McVie's death, saying that the band is 'done' after her passing and that there are no plans to continue performing as a unit. 'If it is the end of Fleetwood Mac, it doesn't mean it is the end for me and the rest of the members, they all get out and play and find people to play with, so I'm going to be doing that too, finding people to play with,' he told The Times Sunday on the Grammy Awards red carpet.
Buckingham, 71, was part of Fleetwood Mac's classic line-up with Stevie Nicks and McVie until the band split up in 1977. He went on to release two solo albums, Law and Order and Out of the Cradle, and reunited with Fleetwood Mac in the '90s before being fired.
He later collaborated with Nicks on her album, Wildflowers, which was nominated for a Grammy Award 2023. He also played guitar on Don Henley's 2007 solo debut, Building the Perfect Beast.
Though Buckingham never achieved the success of his fellow Fleetwood Mac members, he is widely considered one of the top-selling guitarists of all time. His solo records are deceptively simple on the surface but contain a wealth of emotion and layers that have made them enduringly popular.
Lindsey Buckingham grew up in Palo Alto, California, and began playing guitar at a young age. He and his brothers were encouraged to swim competitively, but they decided to pursue music instead.
Buckingham first met Kristen Messner during his time with Fleetwood Mac and they later became a couple. They have three children together and live in a large house in Beverly Hills, California.
After his break from Fleetwood Mac, he remained a fixture in the music industry and toured regularly with a variety of acts. He released a few more solo albums and then rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the 2021 tour, which ended with a final concert in New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
In honor of Christine McVie, who passed away in November 2022 at 79, Fleetwood Mac performed a tribute to her at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The group played a McVie-penned ballad, Songbird, during the 'In Memoriam' portion of the show.
Mick Fleetwood believes that Fleetwood Mac will never reunite after Christine McVie’s passing. However, he still plans to perform the band’s songs live.
The surviving members of the group — Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Mike Campbell — are busy with other musical projects. They “all get out and play,” he told The Times Sunday on the Grammy Awards red carpet. He said he was “gonna do the same thing, finding people to play with” as well.
Campbell, who has played with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers since 1970, co-wrote the 2014 hit "Say Something" by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera, as well as the 2016 pop hit "Sit Still, Look Pretty" by Daya. He has also written songs for Stevie Nicks, The Blue Stingrays, Johnny Cash, Lone Justice, and The Wallflowers.
He has performed in concerts and jazz festivals throughout the world and has appeared on several TV shows. He has collaborated with Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Donald Byrd, and Roger Miller.
As a guitarist, Campbell is known for his lyrical talent and ability to capture the spirit of the lyrics in a song. His style combines classic rock influences with modern melodies and lyrics. He cites Bob Dylan as one of his most important guitar heroes and has a long list of songwriting credits that includes Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Roger McGuinn, Stevie Nicks and more.
In addition to his musical career, Campbell is also an accomplished author. He has written books on songwriting and music theory. He has published seven albums and he is a member of the National Board of Governors for the Recording Academy.
The guitarist is based out of Los Angeles, California. He is married to his wife, Marcie, and they have two daughters, Brie and Kelsey.
His career has spanned over five decades and he has won multiple awards. He is a highly sought-after artist and songwriter. He has also produced and recorded with several artists, including A Great Big World, Christina Aguilera, and Daya.

Throughout the year, Neil Finn has been live streaming the recording process of his latest album, Out of Silence. Each week, fans were able to watch the sessions unfold. The project culminated in a four hour session last Friday, which was streamed over the internet.

Kansas is 2-0 this season and has the best record in the Big 12 so far. This is a team that has the potential to do great things this year.
The Jayhawks face a tough test this week when they travel to play Texas in Stillwater. This could be a high-scoring affair.
Kansas will be facing one of the toughest tests of its season when it takes on Big 12 rival Texas at Allen Fieldhouse on Monday. The Jayhawks (6-4, 4-3) are currently atop the conference standings with eight games left in the regular season, but a loss could derail their chance of claiming their first Big 12 title since 2008.
The Longhorns (8-2, 4-3), on the other hand, can still play their way into the Big 12 championship game if they win at least one of their final two conference contests. They beat Baylor last weekend and then pulled off a stirring 69-66 victory over K-State on Saturday.
Texas is a top-ten scoring team with an average of 73.2 points per game, but it has been unable to score consistently against teams that are good defensively. It has held Gonzaga to 74, Creighton to 67 and Oklahoma State to 46, but it has also given up 81 points to Rice, 116 points to Kansas State at home and 81 to Tennessee on the road.
Despite these flaws, Texas has won five straight games and remains the third-ranked team in the country. The Longhorns have eight Quadrant 1 wins, tied with Purdue for second most behind Kansas.
As a result, this Big 12 battle should be very entertaining and competitive. The betting line favors the Jayhawks by four points, but I think this game is much closer than that and will be close throughout. I expect Kansas to be energetic defensively early and often, and I also expect Kansas to be a lot more aggressive on offense than Texas has been this year.
Bill Self always focuses on his defense, but he will also want to see a better performance from his offense. He will likely try to speed up his offense against the Texas defense, and he will be looking to create easy transition opportunities. If that happens, this game could be a shootout.
Kansas State has a solid record in Big 12 play, despite a loss to Oklahoma State last week. They average a margin of defeat of only five points in conference play, which is not bad.
The Wildcats have a solid group of players led by Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell. Both players average around 18.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. They also have a solid defense, with DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah leading the way with 2.5 sacks in 2022.
Texas is a notch below K-State in terms of offensive production, but they have been better in recent games. Their defense has struggled against the run, and it will be key for them to stop Kansas State's running game.
It's hard to know how the Longhorns will look on the offensive side of the ball in this game, but they should be able to put up plenty of points on a K-State team that isn't particularly good on the defensive side of the ball. Their defense is 18th in FBS in standard down line yards (2.28) and 31st in power success rate (60.9 percent).
While it won't be a easy win, it should help the Longhorns make their case for a trip to Arlington in the Big 12 championship game. And if they get another victory like Saturday's, it will wipe out some of the struggling-on-the-road narrative that has been floating around lately, too.
The Longhorns are a top-five team and have a chance to clinch the fourth seed in the Big 12 tournament with a win. However, they need to be careful not to let the win over K-State become their defining win of the year.
The Texas Longhorns and Kansas Jayhawks are both ranked in the top 10 heading into their Big 12 openers this week. The Jayhawks are coming off a thrilling 93-64 win over TCU while the Longhorns have just held on to beat a tough Iowa State team in the Red River Showdown.
The two teams are expected to go head-to-head inside Gallagher-Iba Arena this week as KU is favored by seven points. The game is on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and will be broadcast at 7 p.m., CT on Tuesday.
Oklahoma has a winless record against ranked opponents this season, but has beaten TCU and Texas both by at least 30 points. The Sooners have also lost to Baylor and West Virginia.
But this is a much different team from last year’s edition, which won the Big 12 Conference by eight games. While the Sooners still have a few weaknesses on offense, they’re a far better defensive team.
As for the Jayhawks, they’ve been a lot more efficient and effective on offense than in their lone loss to TCU. They’ve also gotten more balanced scoring from all five starters.
They’re also playing better defense than they did against TCU, although they do have a few issues in that area. The Jayhawks have a decent bench, but they will need more from that group to keep up with the Big 12’s best teams.
The Jayhawks have won all three of their Big 12 games so far this season, but they’ll need to make sure their record stays perfect with this game against Texas. The Longhorns are also a strong conference team with a lot to play for and this is a must-win game for them as well if they want to stay in the driver’s seat in the Big 12.
The Jayhawks face a tough test this week against a top-ten team. Texas is a powerful offense that has not lost a true road game this season. But the Longhorns also have a solid defense, which has given up just five points per game in Big 12 play.
Kansas squandered an early lead and fell behind late in Saturday's loss to Oklahoma. They could have been in worse shape than they were, but the Jayhawks came back with a pair of late-game scores to escape.
It's not just the loss to Oklahoma that's frustrating for Kansas fans. It's the fact that Kansas has now been dealt two losses in a row to Big 12 rivals. This is a tough situation for the Jayhawks to be in, as they are already looking at a potential playoff spot.
If the Jayhawks can win their final four games of the regular season, they will qualify for the College Football Playoff. They are currently one of three teams that has a chance to make the playoff this year, along with Baylor and Oklahoma State.
As for Oklahoma State, the Cowboys may be the team that gets there if they can win out. A win over Kansas this weekend, combined with a loss by Texas or Oklahoma, would give them an early-season lock on getting to the playoff.
While both Baylor and Oklahoma State are ranked high, they don't have the upward trajectory of the current champions. They are both 2-2 in their conference so far, and they have each lost to a non-conference opponent. This means that each of these teams will have to win out to get to the Big 12 championship game.
Texas will be a tough test for TCU this weekend. The Longhorns have won two of their last three games, including a win over TCU in the Red River Showdown. They are led by quarterback Quinn Ewers, who is coming off a career-best performance against Oklahoma in October.
The Texas defense is one of the best in the conference, holding opponents to less than 200 yards per game this season. However, they are vulnerable to the run. This will be a tough matchup for the Horned Frogs, as TCU has a strong running game and their defense will have to stop the Longhorns from rushing the ball effectively.
This will be the first meeting between Kansas and Texas since their high-scoring overtime thriller in 2014. The Jayhawks have a lot to prove after suffering a tough loss in their last regular-season game to Texas State.
As it stands, the Jayhawks are 6-2 and have won four of their last five games. However, they have lost their last four road games and their starting quarterback Jalon Daniels is still hurt from an ankle injury.
The Longhorns aren’t as good in the second half, and coach Art Briles hasn’t found a way to turn things around after a good start. In fact, Texas hasn’t scored an offensive touchdown in the second half of a game this season.
TCU, meanwhile, has overcome second-half deficits in four of its six conference wins this season. A victory over Texas will keep the Horned Frogs in the race for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game. They will need to continue their dominance with Duggan and the running game, as well as play great defense on Texas’s pass defense to pull off the victory.
The Brooklyn Nets continue their road trip across the West on Monday evening when they visit a short-handed Los Angeles Clippers team. This matchup is a must-win for the Clippers.
Injuries to the Nets include Kyrie Irving (suspension), TJ Warren (ankle) and Yuta Watanabe (hamstring). Royce O’Neale is expected to play after missing four games due to a knee injury.
The LA Clippers aren’t without their share of injuries this season. They lost Kawhi Leonard to knee surgery this year, and he isn’t expected to return any time soon, but Paul George is also out with an elbow injury that recently took a turn for the worse.
The team’s leading scorer has played well enough to keep the team in the race, but they need him to be able to contribute on a more consistent basis. He has a career-high 24.7 points per game, along with 7.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
If he’s unable to return from this injury, the Clippers will have a difficult task ahead of them in the coming weeks. They’ll play a back-to-back set of games with their next two opponents on the road, and it’s possible that George won’t be available for that entire stretch.
However, the Clippers are optimistic that he’ll be able to return from this injury. The team believes that his recovery from the injury could be two-to-three months. He’s been working through the rehab process for the last month and has now completed multiple five-on-five practices and shooting workouts.
The LA Clippers have been hit with a lot of injuries this season and they’re not alone. They’ve also lost Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris and Eric Bledsoe to health and safety protocols which has caused a bit of instability in their rotations.
Hartenstein has been a pleasant surprise on the back end of the rotation, putting up 7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in just over 19 minutes while shooting 66.2 percent from the field. He’s a player to keep an eye on if you need some more depth at the power forward position this week in fantasy basketball.
He’s also a good pickup in 12-team leagues because his per-minute upside is strong as well, but it’s unclear how long he will see this increased playing time and whether or not he can build on it.
It’s a shame Hartenstein hasn’t been able to take the next step this season, but he still has a lot of room to improve. Hopefully, his health and his performance will continue to get better as the 2021-22 season progresses.
Ahead of Monday night’s NBA matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers, let’s take a look at an updated injury report. We’ll discuss a handful of key players, as well as any potential rest spots for each team.
The latest update on Kawhi Leonard’s knee injury is more concerning than it has been in the past. The Los Angeles Clippers superstar was hoping to get back to playing in the NBA this season, but his progress is reportedly slowing down.
While he did return to the court in October, he’s missed the last three games because of stiffness in his knee. He’s not expected to play this Monday, but there is some optimism that he will eventually be cleared to play again.
Regardless of his recovery timeline, we’ll be watching to see how Leonard fares against the Nets. This game has a lot of stakes, as the Nets are just 2-5 in their last seven games, while the Clippers have lost six of their last eight.
Brooklyn has gotten better as a team over the last few weeks, as they have won two road games and carried that momentum into their home opener. The Nets are now 3-2 in their last five games, and they’ll need to continue to improve their all-around performance if they want to climb out of the cellar.
A 6’4’’ guard who played college ball at Ohio, Preston filled up the stat sheet with 15.7 PPG, 7.3 APG and 7.3 RPG on.514/.390/.596 shooting in 20 games (34.6 MPG) as a junior in 2020/21. He has the ballhandling and passing skills to be a good pick-and-roll player in this league, and the Clippers are putting him through intensive training this season to get him up to speed.
That’s why you can often see Preston working on his jumper, catch-and-shoot 3s or pull-ups in practice more than an hour before the start of a game. He’s teamed up with a variety of coaches and staff members, and they all are there for him to help teach him what he needs to know.
He also gets plenty of attention from head coach Tyronn Lue, who likes to talk to Preston and hear what he has to say. The 22-year-old seems eager to make a mark on the franchise, and the coaches are giving him a lot of support as he works on his game. As long as he can do that, he’s going to be a big part of the future of this Los Angeles team.
The Nets are currently on an incredible 13-game winning streak. That’s tied for the longest in franchise history.
They are also 20-4 since Kyrie Irving returned from his suspension, which is the best stretch of any team in franchise history. Head coach Jacque Vaughn has a lot of faith in the young players on the roster.
O’Neale has been a big part of that success, logging major minutes while playing solid three-point shooting over the last month. He is averaging career-best per-game marks in points (9.5), assists (4.0) and three-pointers (2.3) through 47 games this season.
He has yet to play an All-Star game but is already proving that he’s worth a back-end roster spot in 12-team category leagues. In fact, he has a very strong chance to be a starter when Kevin Durant returns in a few weeks.
O’Neale has started the first 34 games of his career, averaging 12.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 31.5 minutes. The veteran forward has shot better than 50 percent from deep over the last nine games, so there’s hope he can get his offense going and put up a double-digit point total once KD returns.
It’s been a long road for Edmond Sumner, whose career has been slowed by shoulder surgery, an ACL tear and now a ruptured Achilles. He’s been able to grit his teeth and keep going, though.
A native of Detroit, Sumner was a second-round pick by Indiana in 2017 after the Pacers sent cash considerations to New Orleans for him. He played in just 53 games last season, averaging 7.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.6 steals.
He didn’t want to let his injury slow him down, so he went back to school and started working toward finishing a degree. He took classes online.
After a semester, he was back to doing what he loves most -- playing basketball. Now, Sumner is averaging 11.4 points and 3.2 assists for Xavier.
The Nets are in desperate need of help at point guard, with Kyrie Irving (adductor) out of the rotation. But they’ve still managed to find a way to win, especially in Wednesday night’s ecstatic trouncing of the New York Knicks. That win also highlighted the defensive prowess of Sumner and Cam Thomas, who both will be in the starting lineup today against the Clippers.
Warren is a big, strong wing who hasn’t been able to find his rhythm since he got injured. He’s now missed four straight games and could be a major concern for fantasy owners.
The Nets are hoping he can return to his ‘Bubble Warren’ form, which saw him average 15.5 points and 4.1 rebounds on 50% shooting in 20 minutes per game last season. It’s not a guarantee, but if he can return to his early-season form he could be a great option off the bench for fantasy owners in search of points.
Impact Warren is listed as probable for Saturday’s matchup with the Clippers, and he’ll likely slot in for double-digit minutes off the bench. The Nets have been short on big men in recent games with Kevin Durant (knee) out, so his return will be a welcome addition.
Ben Simmons is also a questionable player for the game, but he’s showing signs of progress in his knee soreness and should be ready to play. The Nets are 2-1 without Simmons and Warren this season, so they’ll need them to be healthy if they want to keep their streak going.
