Woody McClain, also known as 'Woody the Great', is an American actor, comedian and dancer who is best known for portraying American R&B and pop singer, songwriter, actor and dancer, Bobby Brown, in BET’s 2017 miniseries 'The New Edition Story', for which he won the 'Black Reel Award for Television' as the 'Outstanding Actor, TV Movie/Limited Series'. In 2018, he signed a deal to reprise the role in the new two-part follow-up miniseries, 'The Bobby Brown Story'. His other acting credits include the TV series 'Training Day', 'Tales', 'Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.', and 'Giants', as well as the video shorts 'You're Sexist' and 'A Little Closure'. As a dancer, he has performed alongside Chris Brown and Fifth Harmony. He earned early recognition on YouTube for his version of Kevin Hart's 'Permission to Cuss' skit, and now executive produces a series titled 'Stories with Kev'. He also plays Kevin in a streaming series on Hart's top rated streaming video service, 'Laugh Out Loud', which releases a new video every Friday. He is slated to make his big screen debut in 2018, appearing in the feature films, 'Canal Street' and 'All the Way with You', playing the roles MayMay and Boris respectively.
