[Producers have] tried to transpose [gaming culture] into game shows and comedy variety shows. And [the shows have] gotten so much better all around the world. So maybe that was a precursor, I think, to this particular drama that uses some of the genre elements of black comedy and satire. Squid Game is not Running Man, it’s not Infinite Challenge.
