Wings Over North Georgia Air Show is a favourite family fall event in Georgia. A breathtaking airshow draws thousands of spectators with exciting aircraft competitions, vintage aircraft rides, and a large aircraft showcase. Not to mention, lots of live music, a barbeque and other entertainment. The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, Tora-Tora-Tora Air Show, and the A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Teams show their skills at the Russell Regional Airport in the town of Rome, Georgia.
The show usually falls on Labour Day weekend, featuring the best aerobatic and warbird performers in the country, as well as, many exhibitions and displays on aviation, both military and civilian. The two-day program includes aerial performances, ground demonstrations, air racing exhibition, Military Service Veterans Assembly, Golden Knights Parachute Demo, Veterans Parade of Honor & Patriotic Flyovers and much more. JLC's inaugural air show took place in 2012 during the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show featuring the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet Jet Demonstration Teams. The annual event has hosted world class teams including performances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey, U.S. Air Force A-10 Warthog, Black Diamond Jet Team, Aeroshell, and the world's top-rated civilian solo aerobatic performers.
