Keenya Young is on the lam from police, accused of stealing nearly $2,000 worth of purses from the Macy's in Aventura Mall, then speeding off with an accomplice and crashing into a security car in a nearby neighborhood. Robinson stayed at the crash scene, and was arrested by police. Police are still trying to locate Young, who took off on foot after the crash. Yung Miami’s mom is named Keenya Young and in 2009, she was accused of driving the getaway car after she and Exzavier Robinson stole designer purses from the Macy’s in the Aventura Mall in Miami, Florida. According to Fader, Keenya Young is still in prison and is looking forward to being released in 2021. During that same interview, Yung Miami revealed that she hopes to gift her mother with a house and a car when she gets out. The charges were serious as Young was shoplifting and then drove away in a car that ended up crashing into another car, causing the 40 year old in the other vehicle’s death. “My mom get out tomorrow. I’m so anxious!” she wrote. “My mom left me with 2 kids plus Jai I was 22 going on 23. I didn’t know what to do. I had to figure it out. Look at me now. The tragedy happened on Aug. 3, 2009. Prosecutors said Robinson and Young were in on the robbery together, parking their car in a fire lane for a quick getaway from Macy’s. He stole a Michael Kors bag, while Young took two Juicy Couture purses. As they ran off, a security officer tussled with Young as Robinson hopped in the driver’s seat and gunned it toward the two.He and Young were charged with first-degree murder in Anderson’s death. They were also charged with armed robbery for the mall ripoff based on classifying the car driven toward the Macy’s worker as a weapon. In Florida, anyone who commits certain violent crimes, including armed robbery, in which someone dies can be held responsible for murder. Yung Miami welcomed her mother home from prison on Saturday (March 27) and has been expressing her joy nonstop across her respective social media channels. The Miami native's mother Keenya Young was sentenced to five years plus 10 years probation in 2017 in relation to a hit and run incident that happened back in her home state back in 2009. She shared footage of her mother's first moments out via her Instagram Sunday and threw her a lavish welcome home party for her as well.
