Future Stars of Softball Kentucky

The Future Stars of Softball Kentucky event is the nation’s premier AA state team selection competition for the game of softball, the girl’s sport of the U.S. Olympics. The event is open to all girls, ages 12-17, who have a passion for the sport. The girls may have any level of existing skills and interest in softball.

Starting off the week highly touted freshman Ryan Hagenow got the start on Tuesday, going four strong innings without allowing a run in his debut. He also struck out six, to go alongside one hit. That was followed up this weekend by solid outings from starters Cole Stupp, Zack Lee, and Mason Hazelwood. With the bullpen coming in strong as well the team seems like it could come into conference play ready to compete.

This year we only have 9 teams. Round Robin and single elimination. 3 game minimum, 5 game maximum. Last years winner (Beech, TN) won the state in their division. The runner-up (Calloway Co.) won the KY State Title. The 2003 winner (Owensboro Catholic) won the KY State Title that season. We expect a competitive field.
