Like in most professions, writing is a tough gig. The challenge of creating content, inside and outside of the office, is intimidating to say the least. And while most businesses have to do writing by hand, the ease of staying productive, creative and creative with a computer, such as a laptop or tablet, is a definitive boon.

Moore

A.C. Moore was founded as a single arts and crafts store by Jack Parker and William Kaplan in 1985 in Moorestown, New Jersey ("A. C. Moore" – arts and crafts, Moorestown). Parker, with the position of president, was a merchandising veteran of Woolworth's, and Kaplan, CEO, had a career in fashion production.I'm so sad that A.C. Moore is closing. I always enjoyed their selection of craft supplies. I also liked picking up small foam kits, wood crafts, and paints to share with my 2 year old and 5 year old girls. I'm hoping Michael's is able to bring an affordable replacement for our favorite items.

“Unfortunately, given the headwinds facing many retailers in today's environment, it made it very difficult for us to operate and compete on a national level,” said Anthony Piperno, CEO of A.C. Moore. “While it was a difficult decision for us, this transaction will result in a group of stores reopening under the Michaels banner subject to negotiations with landlords. We believe the transaction was the best option for our employees, customers, vendors, landlords, and other key stakeholders and thank them for their many years of support." Arts and crafts retailer A.C. Moore has announced it is closing all of its 145 stores. The A.C. More chain is owned by Nicole Crafts, which is closing down the 34-year-old chain because it is exiting retail sales due to the “headwinds facing many retailers” today. Some good news for A.C. Moore customers, however, is that arts and crafts retail giant Michaels has announced they will take over 40 of the A.C. Moore locations, keeping those stores open under the Michaels brand.
