Ginny

Felix Mallard plays Marcus in Ginny & Georgia. Felix is an Australian actor who first rose to prominence in Neighbours as Ben Kirk. He also played Cooper in Happy Together and recently appeared as Lucas Caravaggio in Netflix’s Locke & Key. Viewers of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist will also recognise him as Aiden. [Netflix] Ginny and Georgia is quickly becoming a global phenomenon despite the mixed reviews from critics. The series follows the two titular characters, the mother-daughter duo Ginny and Georgia while also introducing viewers to the people around them. The trailer itself suggests that Ginny, "the new girl", found herself in an epic love triangle between the school's jock and a mysterious boy-next-door. Introducing the man behind the boy-next-door. Felix is a familiar face in a pool of brand-new talents in the series. The Australian actor made his debut in 2014 as a part of the main cast of the soap opera Neighbours. He continued there for five years before landing a role in Happy Together, a comedy sitcom loosely based on the life experiences of singer Harry Styles. Apparently, it took the popular host James Corden and Harry Styles himself to convince Felix of taking up the role. The story centers on a young, single mom (Brianne Howey) and her precocious teenage daughter (Antonia Gentry) who move to a beguiling New England town and subsequently find themselves involved in an array of dramas and love triangles. The show, created by Sarah Lampert, even acknowledges these comparisons. “We’re like the Gilmore Girls, but with bigger boobs," Georgia says in her perky Southern accent in the first episode. Georgia

The show is super adorable! Have we seen it before? yes. But, what haven't we seen before? Georgia is hilarious and how can you hate anything with Scott Porter in it? The ONLY reason people hate it is because Taylor Swift made ONE comment about it. Unfortunately when you're famous your life Is in the open. Grow up and ignore one comment. The show is about inclusion and the characters are adorable. Yet, Ginny and Georgia are a very different mother-daughter duo. For starters, the recently widowed Georgia is a crafty con woman who's harboring a few big secrets, like, say, embezzlement and potential manslaughter. Not to mention, she prefers hard alcohol to coffee. Meanwhile, Ginny struggles to fit in, not because of her cleverness but due to how her biracial identity makes her feel like an outsider. (Her oft-absent father is Black.) She's far more self-aware than Rory Gilmore could ever be.

Ginny & Georgia may be Antonia's first leading role on the screen, but she's been acting since she was a kid, attending Davidson Fine Arts Drama performing arts high school and Emory University in Georgia. While studying at Emory, she was a leader in the Rathskellar Comedy Improv troupe. To portray the beautiful and cunning Georgia Miller, 31-year-old actor Brianne Howey looked to several resourceful fictional heroines for inspiration, including Lorelai Gilmore, Fiona Gallagher, and Nancy Botwin; in the blond matriarch's angriest and most wine-drunk moments, she unleashes her inner Cersei Lannister. A force to be reckoned with, Georgia is the show's most enigmatic figure, and as the season progresses the pieces of her tumultuous past as a teenage runaway start to fall into place.
