Julie Ellen "Tawny" Kitaen (August 5, 1961 – May 7, 2021) was an American actress, model, and media personality. She began her career as a television actress, appearing in the television films Malibu (1983) and California Girls (1985). Tawny Kitaen, Whitesnake Video Star, Cause of Death Revealed

UPDATE: A cause of death has been revealed for actress and video vixen Tawny Kitaen. A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Department revealed that Kitaen died from dilated cardiomyopathy. The manner of death was ruled natural. According to the spokesman, other significant conditions included mild coronary atherosclerosis (clogged arteries); mirtazapine (antidepressant), mirtazapine metabolite, alprazolam (Xanax), acetaminophen (Tylenol), pregabalin (nerve pain medication) and hydrocodone (opioid). Tawny Kitaen, Star of 1980s Music Videos, Dies at 5

Ms. Kitaen gained fame for her carefree spirit and sultry dancing in music videos for bands like Whitesnake and Ratt and her role in the movie “Bachelor Party.” 


Until this week, "actress" Tawny Kitaen's most embarrassing moment was the the release of her first movie, "Bachelor Party." Her co-star, Tom Hanks, went from that awful 1984 film to become one of Hollywood's most revered actors, winning Oscars for his gripping performances as a lawyer dying of AIDS in "Philadelphia" and as the mentally challenged title character in "Forrest Gump."
