Reddit is launching a new personalized Spotify Wrapped-like recap feature for all users tomorrow. The new recaps will include a variety of stats, including a summary of the time you spent on the platform. A look at the content that you interacted with or contributed. Topics you engaged with and communities you’ve viewed or joined. Reddit notes that users will be able to hide their username. This morning, our members reported that the popular social news website, Reddit, was experiencing some technical difficulties. Attempting to open a discussion thread, members received a notice that the subreddit was "taking a break".


In January, the Filipino-themed subreddit r/jakolandia was accused of "distributing” posts of photos of women. Including celebrities, apparently without their consent. Similar to "a number" of secret Facebook groups that had been engaging. In illegal activity of sharing "obscene" photos of women and possibly child pornography. (Source: en.wikipedia.org)


One of the most popular forums on the internet is Reddit. Originally conceived as a location for sharing interesting articles and links, Reddit has evolved into an online community for almost any topic imaginable. Just about anyone can post content to be voted and rated by other Reddit users. From scientific studies to funny text adventures and everything in between. The popularity of Reddit has led to the creation of subreddits, which are smaller entities inside Reddit akin to subsections of a social magazine.

And the front page is organized in a manner that stories with more up-votes will appear toward the top of the site. The front page is chaotic and uncontrollable in the beginning, . But when a user registers a blog with Reddit they can control exactly what they want to see. Which basically means they can make the front page work for them.
