crona soul eater

A crazy sounding name for a beverage – but very desirable nonetheless. The drink with 8g of sugar is not actually sweetened with sugar, but rather with organic honey.

You were the first to treat me like a person. I don't care about the rest of the world. To be honest, I don't even understand what "crime" I must answer for. I just want to fight for your sake, Maka. (Source: souleater.fandom.com After meeting Maka and their enrollment into the DWMA, Crona stated showing more positive traits and was capable of feeling the need to protect Maka, who was previously their enemy. (Source:souleater.fandom.com))

However, Crona gained much of themselves after Medusa's passing and capture by Asura, reflecting on their actions and finding it unforgivable. In a final heroic turn, Crona even opted to seal themselves with the Asura with the usage of the Black Blood and "BREW" for the sake of Maka as well as the entire world. Kenjutsu (剣術, Kenjutsu): Crona is an extremely adept swordsman, having been able easily and swiftly kill the entire Materazzi gang and battle the likes of Maka Albarn with the Demon Scythe Soul Eater on more then one occasion, proving to be the superior opponent in one instance. Crona's style is characterized by an erratic and crazed style in which overwhelms opponents due to their inability to block an attack with normal demon weapons while using screech resonance. Fusing with the Black Clown with the madness fusion technique, much of Crona's black blood-related abilities expand exponentially, becoming more refined and powerful. The power of their own madness wavelength also increased, with Maka Albarn describing the Black Spheres made up of Black Blood from Crona "intense" and was easily able to render members of the DWMA's Eastern European Branch insane. (Source: souleater.fandom.com)

Thorn Defense (ソーンディフェンス, Sōn Difensu): A defensive technique in which thorns line up similar to that of a fence to defend Crona from powerful attacks, although Maka and Spirit's Witch-Hunt and Demon-Hunt succession attacks was capable of downing the defensive technique. On one of Maka and Soul's missions in Italy, Maka senses peculiar soul wavelengths coming from the Santa Maria Novella Basilica. Upon entering, the two discover Crona and their weapon, Ragnarok. The two meisters quickly engage in battle. However, the demon sword proves to be more than a match for Maka and Soul, and eventually gives Soul a serious wound: at this point, some of Ragnorok's Black Blood enters Soul's bloodstream. Crona is about to kill Soul and Maka by dealing the final fatal blow before Spirit and Stein intervene. The second pair is on a completely different level than the previous Scythe meister, and Crona almost dies before Medusa reveals her own presence and retrieves her combatant. souleater.fandom.com)Crona, Maka and the others were on a tour for the School and later went with Maka and Soul on a mission in the Czech Republic to look for the Oldest Golem in Leow Village that's gone on a rampage. When they couldn't get any information from the people in the village, the Enchanter, Giriko (who called himself Sou/Saw at the time) shows up and proceeds to show the group where the Oldest Golem was. (Source:

After the Oldest Golem makes its appearance and Maka discovers that it has a soul wavelength, Giriko finally tells the group his true name, along with his true intentions, as he transforms into his weapon form and lets the golem wield him as it begins attacking the group. After Maka promises Ragnarok that she'll give him a fifteen pieces of candy if he helped, Ragnarok finally helps out, allowing Crona to use Screech Alpha and causing the golem to lose its balance long enough for Maka to land a blow. When Maka becomes paralyzed due to the mysterious webs coming out of the wound, Crona jumps in to protect her when Giriko tries to kill her, only to have the both of them slammed into some brick trees. When every spider in the world begins to show up and forms around the golem, Crona steps in front of Maka and states that they will protect her; an act that both surprises and amazes Maka ,until Crona begins to shiver in fear when they find out that the soul wavelength inside the golem belong to Arachne, Medusa's sister and Crona's aunt. Despite their fear, Crona manages to muster up enough courage to try attacking Arachne, thanks to Ragnarok's 'cheering', but Arachne blocked it with her fan, and counter-attacked by quickly slapping Crona with her fan, putting them in a daze. After telling her the Enchanter to Get rid of the brat., Giriko immediately kicks Crona with enough force to send them flying. But after recovering from it, Crona and the others are shocked to find out that the kick had actually cut them as Giriko brags about his Saw Leg and how that its second gear should be more than enough to deal with them, to which Ragnarok retaliates saying that he could just immediately harden the blood after he cuts them. Unfortunately, Giriko quickly gains the upper hand as he came close to decapitating Crona until Death Scythe Justin Law arrived and defeated the Oldest Golem by using his Law Abiding Silver Gun. After the battle, Crona, along with the others, pretends not to hear Maka when she asks why she has to lay in a coffin. Then they begin to put flowers in the coffin, making her think about how Sid must have felt when he was dead. (Source: souleater.fandom.com)

Crona Gorgon is a major antagonist of the Soul Eater manga and anime series. They are shown to be the abused biological child of the Witch Medusa Gorgon, and because of this, Crona is considered a tragic and insecure villain. However, after Maka Albarn comforted and cleansed Crona's soul (due to her realization and understanding of the meister's past), they became one of the main protagonists. Crona is presented with an ambiguous gender throughout the entire series. (Source: villains.fandom.com)

villains.fandom.com)Crona was taught at an early age to kill and torture small animals by Medusa to get them used to killing people. Crona is Ragnarok's meister, and is initially under Medusa's orders (and control) to take any soul that they find, be it evil or good. Crona is a very naive, trusting, and submissive person who is constantly pestered by Ragnarok in the form of noogies and threats to eat Crona's share of food. Crona does not like to fight (often unable to overcome any obstacles presented) but Medusa normally introduces a spell into Crona's mind which increases Crona's aggression. Ragnarok also bullies them into fighting. While under Medusa's control, Crona becomes dangerously unstable and tempestuous, showing signs of insanity and aggression, spouting senseless comments and laughing at random moments. Crona is incredibly nervous and jumpy, and the slightest thing can make them frightened. Crona is also incredibly emotional and sensitive. After Crona becomes friends with Maka, however, Crona begins to become surer of themself, but still has difficulty making decisions. They soon begin to distinguish the difference between good and evil. (Source:

Crona is extremely negative and antipathetic, enough so that a poem Crona wrote was so abundantly depressing it made Black Star, Maka, Marie, Soul, and Sid sulk in a corner and wish they were never born (though in Sid's case, he wishes he was never revived) after reading it, with Crona shortly following the suite. Crona seems to want to adapt to interacting with people, but it seems hard for them to do, most likely because of Medusa's abusive treatment. However, Crona does show signs of slowly opening up to the people around them, and becomes touched with how the others care about them, up to the point, they think that they do not deserve that much attention. Crona seems more relaxed around Maka. Unless Maka comes and fetches them, Crona normally stays in a corner of any room, and will cower in it if frightened, calling the corner "Mr. Corner"(or "Roomsky Kornerkov" in the manga). Crona mostly interacts with others only when Maka is present, since Maka can easily tune in to Crona's Soul Wavelength to be understanding and calming when needed. Crona also expresses unusual determination when it comes to helping or protecting Maka. Due to Crona's lack of interaction with others (other than eating their souls), Crona has nearly no experience in interacting with other people, hence Crona's catchphrase, "I don't know how to deal with [???]..." Crona cannot adapt to new situations and can panic easily, and finds it difficult to make decisions. (Source: villains.fandom.com)

Despite the fact that Crona was beginning to adapt to their new life, they were coerced back into working for Medusa and ran away from Shibusen after acting as a spy for Medusa. After returning to Medusa, Crona's personality reverts back to their original dark, insane state. Crona also seems to suffer from amnesia, not remembering Maka or their friends. However; they show signs of inner conflict as they attempt to remember their past life. (Source: villains.fandom.com In the anime, Crona becomes more steadfast, determined, indomitable, and courageous when they decide to go and defeat Medusa and rescue Stein alongside Marie and Maka. Although still nervous and unsettled by Medusa, Crona stands up to her and even risks their life for Maka. In the anime, Crona also seems to have a good sense of direction, being able to navigate both themself and Marie through Shibusen and Medusa's lair. (Source:villains.fandom.com))

villains.fandom.com)While having Ragnarok devour the souls of a gang in Italy's Santa Maria Novella Basilica on Medusa's command, Crona is confronted by Maka Albarn and her Weapon partner Soul Eater Evans. The two meisters quickly engage in battle with the fight ending in Crona's favor as Soul is mortally wounded with some of the Black Blood making Ragnarok enter the Weapon's bloodstream. Luckily, Maka's father Spirit and his former Meister Dr. Franken Stein arrive and defeat Crona as his Soul Resonance with Ragnarok is failing to the point of internal damage. Luckily, Medusa made her presence known and takes her child to safety. (Source:

When Medusa enacts her plan to revive Asura, Crona is set up as a guard for a portion of the hallway leading to the Kishin's resting place to keep the DWMA from interfering. Though Black Star was to originally fight Crona, Maka engages in battle instead for her previous encounter. But like before, Crona had the upper hand until the Black Blood inside Soul is activated with Maka getting a boost despite slowly descending into madness herself. This causes the fight to be a stalemate until Maka sees into Crona's soul and learns of the horror the child had suffered at Medusa's hand. This causes Maka to break free from her madness to purify Crona by offering the child her friendship. (Source: villains.fandom.com)

While creating Soul Eater, Atsushi ÅŒkubo was heavily influenced by the manga series Dr. Slump and wanted to create a story in which serious or intense action scenes would be defused or interrupted with comedic moments. The story element in which characters transform into weapons is an expansion on the idea of weapons being personified, which ÅŒkubo frequently saw in other fictional stories. ÅŒkubo decided to make the main protagonist of the series, Maka Albarn, a female in response to other shōnen manga having male main characters, and paired her and the other main characters with those of the opposite sex to demonstrate an equal representation of gender. He also decided to use a scythe as Maka's weapon for its unique fighting style. He resisted drawing influence from other people for most of his characters, particularly the main protagonists, who he instead based on assets on his own personality—the arrogant Black Star is based on ÅŒkubo's narcissistic side, the neurotic Death the Kid based on his manic side, etc. However, he did base a few characters on people he was familiar with, such as Excalibur, whose personality he based on his own father. He also designed supporting character Kilik Rung to be black after noting a lack of African characters in other manga series. The names of several characters are based on the titles of other films as a form of tribute, such as Blair being named after The Blair Witch Project and Kilik after Kirikou and the Sorceress. Because she has strong morals and a good sense of justice, she hates seeing her father cheating on women, and tends to be annoyed with Black Star at times due to his arrogant and self-absorbed personality. There are times when she gets ticked off, she does a "Maka Chop," which is when she takes a hardback book and slams it down onto that persons head. Usually her father's, Black Star, or Soul. In the anime, Maka was the only one who could defeat Asura, who was on the verge of destroying the world. Soul, Black Star, Death the Kid, their partners and Shinigami all failed to defeat him, but Maka defeated him all by herself because of her bravery. She confused Asura by proving to him she would never give up despite her being weaker and all her friends having been defeated, which made him doubt himself and confused him, allowing Maka to punch him, while he was distracted, with all her force and defeat him. In the manga, however, Maka used her courage as well as her determination to partner with Soul, Black Star, Kid, and Crona, using the weapon known as Brew to defeat the Kishin.
