Spain Vs Georgia

Spain had a 12-4 lead through first periods of play and victory seemed assured for their team. A late goal from Safi Shekoeli with less than 10 minutes left to play however, brought the game back to 3 all. But the Spanish were able to find a way to beat the Georgians and clinch the gold medal.

Luis Enrique's troops get the job done in fine style in Badajoz, with Spain scoring five goals while having two more disallowed. It only took them 14 minutes to find the back of the net, with Gaya's strike deflecting past Loria. Llorente then created a great chance for Soler in the second, and the latter took the opportunity in fine style from close range. Gaya's second goal of the night was disallowed after 30 minutes due to offside, but Spain still found time to find a third before the break. Ferran Torres got into a good position before beating Loria, but the visitors did well to keep the scoreline as respectable as possible. Sarabia converted Fornals' pass in the 63rd minute before he then had a goal disallowed at the death for offside.

Spain deservedly lead at the break, and there's every chance they add to their tally in the second 45 minutes. Georgia did what they could to keep them at bay for ten minutes, but Gaya opened the scoring four minutes later. His deflected shot sent Loria the wrong way, before Soler made it two-nil in the 25th minute. He converted Llorente's cross, who also played a part in Torres' third goal, with the latter finishing from a tight angle. (Source: www.goal.com)
