Dental College of Georgia

A dental college that was in need of growth and success, sought the help of the Augusta Dentofacial Group. Dentofacial group is an Atlanta, Georgia based design and branding firm. They presented a means to promote the science of dentofacial care and the work they do to a more global audience. They found success with a comprehensive, targeted and effective campaign.

Augusta University, located in Augusta, operates a College of Dental Medicine that awards a Doctor of Dental Medicine, as well as oral biology degrees that result in either a Master of Science or a Ph.D. The school has very specific admission requirements (which Andrew College's A.S. program does not fulfill), including 1 academic year of biology, chemistry, and English, and 1 semester of physics, earning a minimum of a C in each and requires a lab with each science. While all these are requirements for GRU, the program does not earn students enough credits to qualify for admission to the university, because the school also requires a minimum of 90 semester hours, and gives preference to students who have earned a bachelor's degree. A minimum of a 2.8 GPA is required, and prospective students will also have to take the Dental Admissions Test. The university offers programs in diagnostic sciences, endodontics, general dentistry, oral biology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral rehabilitation, orthodontics, patient services, pediatric dentistry, and periodontics. The D.M.D. degree takes 11 semesters over 4 years to complete. (Source: bestaccreditedcolleges.org)
