COVID-19 vaccine requirement

If you are attending New York University, you may have been aware that the school has a vaccination requirement. This requirement applies to students and employees who are working at NYU campuses and residence halls.

Students who take online courses and do not attend in-person classes will need to be fully vaccinated against the disease. These individuals must be able to provide proof that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

A booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for students who have received their initial series. When this happens, students should wait at least two weeks before re-vaccinating for the next set of doses.

It is important to note that this is not a universal rule. In fact, some CUNY campuses distribute stickers and pins to mark their compliance with the requirement.

Students and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but some will be exempt. Visitors are also required to be fully vaccinated against the infection, if not by law, then by CUNY policy.

In addition to the vaccination requirements, all students are required to comply with the health orders issued by the state of New York. This includes completing symptom tracker surveys for the spring semester.

The Boston College Academic Calendar For 2023

Boston College Home 2023

Boston College is not only a collegiate athletics program. The school also provides a great education to students from many different backgrounds. Many of these students are from underprivileged communities, and they benefit from the opportunity to learn about themselves, and their world. By attending Boston College, students have the chance to develop friendships, and make lasting connections to the community. In addition, the school has a number of resources available to them, such as its academic calendar, which offers a wide variety of courses.

Miami

The 2023 Boston College Eagles football program will be coached by fourth year head coach Jeff Hafley. The team will play eight home games and seven road trips including two out of state matchups. As for the upcoming season, the college has already been notified of its new opponents for the next four seasons. Despite the competition, the defending champs will finish in the top three in the ACC's South division, making for a fun season. In fact, the Eagles have been a powerhouse since their 19-4 campaign in 2022. That year, Hafley and his crew shattered the NCAA's single-season record and won the coveted ACC championship. Considering the success of the program, one can only imagine what a future run of the ball might hold.

The 2023 Boston College football program is set to have a banner year and an upcoming schedule that is sure to delight its fans. With a new coaching staff, it is expected to take the next step up in the upcoming ACC playoffs. It is also expected that the Eagles will make the trip to the Big Apple to play Syracuse. Those who aren't in the New York area might consider a road trip to Baltimore, Philadelphia, or the aforementioned metroplex for some well deserved R&R. The home team will be aided by the return of several members of the departed Class of '25. One might expect the home team to get an edge if not a bye, but that won't be the case. Hopefully, this will be the start of a long and prosperous relationship between Boston and Orange County.

As for the ol' state of Florida, that is another story.

Syracuse

The Syracuse Orange (12-4, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) have turned around the season after a slow start. They have won their last five games and won 91-77 against Clemson on Sunday. However, they will have their hands full when they take on the Boston College Eagles (11-7, 0-2) on Saturday.

The game will be played at the KCF Yum! Center in Louisville, KY. Vivid Seats is selling tickets.

Jesse Edwards has been a big presence in the paint in recent games. He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. However, he finished with four fouls. He should dominate the game.

Boston College is undersized and doesn't shoot well. Its offense is ranked near the bottom of the nation. This could be a very close game. BC has three guards who are averaging double digits in scoring, but the rest of the lineup isn't particularly good.

Devin McGlockton is a key defensive player for the Eagles. His team isn't a great shooter, and it's difficult to get much help from a zone defense. But it's a "thing" in Boston College.

Syracuse hasn't made a 3-pointer in the last four games. That includes the win over Notre Dame. Their last run came in the second half. A 16-4 run put SU up seven points with 11:03 left in the game.

BC hasn't been great from three-point land either. Makai Ashton-Langford leads the team with eight points.

Boston College lost its last eight games against Syracuse. In fact, the Eagles have won only five home games against the Orange in their history.

In this series, the Orange has won 24 of the 30 Dome contests. This is tied for the most wins in the series since the 1958-59 season.

Pittsburgh

During the next four seasons, the Boston College Eagles will play eight home games and seven away games. The 2023 football schedule is set to be a home run for the newest team in town. With a revamped coaching staff and a roster full of high-caliber footballers, the future looks brighter than the present. This year's roster will be a mix of seasoned veterans and fresh faces. In the words of BC head coach Jeff Hafley, "The new team will be led by a quartet of veteran players - including three All-Americans - to a quartet of rookies."

Aside from a few of the usual suspects, the BCEagles have some high profile non-conference opponents in the form of Miami and Wake Forest. However, in a league with an impressive array of quality schools, the AAC hasn't been shy about putting its stamp on the school. So while the Dolphins are in for the long haul, the college will need to be on their game to have a chance at a postseason berth.

The 2023 college football schedule is a good start, but for the true blues to truly shine, the AAC will need to get on board with the team's unique culture. The BCEagles will also need to improve the quality of their facilities, particularly on the field. But the new team will have no shortage of support, thanks to a dedicated athletics department. Combined with the improved facilities, the new team should be ready to take the lead in the AAC in the coming years. Hopefully, the BCEagles will be back in the playoffs in 2023. And if the team can improve on last season's 9-3 record, there's a solid shot at a home state title.

Academic Calendar

The 2023 BAC academic calendar is not a secret, but you may not be aware of it. As is the case with most colleges and universities, a flurry of students will be enrolling for the fall term. Whether you are a prospective student, current student, or both, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the calendar before you sign the dotted line. Here are some of the notable dates to watch out for.

In terms of schedule, a single afternoon of classes is not uncommon. For example, a three hour class on the Friday before Easter is commonplace. Other noteworthy holidays include Thanksgiving and Cromwell Day, the latter of which has its merits as a day dedicated to diversity education. However, the most important thing to note is that these are recurring holidays. While you are at it, keep an eye on the calendar as well as the calendar at your own institution. This will give you a leg up on the competition. Moreover, if you miss a few lectures, you'll find your instructor is more than willing to help you catch up.

Of course, the BAC calendar is not a perfect replica of the past, and the university is bound to make tweaks from time to time. It is also worth noting that this is a university in the heart of Boston, meaning a few hundred miles of commuting distance to campus might be a pleasant diversion. On the bright side, you'll be able to get some quality time with your favorite professors, and your best friends and loved ones as well. After all, if you are going to spend the time and money to attend Boston College, you should at least take your baccalauréat.

Lacrosse

The Boston College Eagles Women's Lacrosse team plays its home games at the Newton Soccer Complex in Newton, Massachusetts, and occasionally at the Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, MA. They are part of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse competition.

In 2018, Boston College won its first ever national title, and reached the NCAA Final Four. A trip to the national title game was on the line in Friday's semifinals. Second-seeded Maryland defeated No. 7 Florida, while Boston College beat Loyola 20-13. Both teams finished the regular season with 19-1 records.

A total of five players were named to the All-ACC First Team. Jenn Medjid was among them, registering a team-high eight points. Another ACC standout, Hollie Schleicher, earned Second Team honors. This year, four players recorded hat tricks.

The Terps are 19-1, with 11 wins coming by a combined score of 68-10. Charlotte North was the ACC's top-ranked team in draw control wins. It also was the top team in goals scored.

The Minutewomen will begin the season with a three-game road trip at Holy Cross, followed by a home game against Siena. The team's final road game will be against Notre Dame on April 8th in South Bend.

Boston College is defending national champion, and ranked third in the 2022 NCAA Final Four. The team has finished in the top five in the ACC every season since 2014. Last year, they went 19-4, which made them the most successful program in the conference in the last two years.

The program's website is also full of information about the program and scholarships. Interested students can apply online.
