The network covers over 90 individual locations, 15 local government authorities, 2 national parks and employs over 330 lifeguards each year.

Surf Life Saving NSW is the peak body for water safety in Australia. Its network of volunteer lifeguards and professional lifeguards provides services to over 129 surf clubs and fifteen local government authorities. It also supports the work of Council lifeguards across the state.
