Aster Seeds is a company that started January 2019. It’s not the easiest company to cover, but they have interesting and innovative products.A prolonged blooming window and exceptional vase life make China aster one of the most popular flowers for cutting. They can be grown in the greenhouse or the field and it is possible to grow them year-round in a heated greenhouse or in moderate climates. China aster is relatively easy to grow except for its susceptibility to aster yellows; to avoid the disease, we strongly advise crop rotation and use of row covers. Choose from peony-type, quill-type, or spray-type varieties in a range of colors.

Aster plants look much better when planted in groups or drifts. A block of beautifully subtle Aster flowers against a late summer autumnal sky really is worth the effort of growing these plants. Suttons offer some superb Aster varieties including ‘Milady mix’, a dwarf aster, a heavy flowering and heavy petalled Aster or the blousy pom-pom ‘Fraggle mix’.
