We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm. We close for the 8 public bank holidays only. We are registered for 78 children, we have 4 group rooms catering for children from 3 months through to when they go to school. We use nursery cam for parents to view their children at nursery. We have a separate soft play and sensory room. There are 2 separate gardens for the different age groups, the older children have a forest area. Nursery

Marek Jurkevic founded Shooting Star Nursery in 2012. He and his wife wanted a place to raise their two sons, but Washington state was expensive. So they packed up their two cars and moved to Green Valley, Arizona. They raised all the money they needed on their credit card, made all the necessary repairs themselves, and slept on the floor of their office. Now in operation, the business pays the bills and makes profits that support the family.Our Safeguarding Children Policy details the rigorous steps we take to ensure that all of the adults who work with your child are suitable to do so. Qualifications and references are checked and a Disclosure & Baring Service is in place. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is recognised as an essential element of ensuring that we maintain high quality practice within the nursery and the out of school club. It enables all staff to reflect on their own practice and to have opportunity to influence improvement and development.

Shooting Star Nursery is your local nursery resource serving the Rogue Valley and southern Oregon including Medford, Central Point, Ashland and Jacksonville. We love all plants and specialize in deer resistant and drought tolerant trees, shrubs, and perennials. Shooting Star Nursery also has a wide selection of fruit trees.At Shooting Stars we work tirelessly to ensure the children have a varied, interesting and enjoyable provision in a safe and caring environment. We are fully inclusive, Ofsted registered for children aged 4 to 11 years old. We provide breakfast and after school club for Southdale C of E Junior School, Dimple Well Infant School and Nursery, St. Ignatius Catholic Primary School and South Ossett Infants’ Academy.
