This is an entry level opportunity for a Graduate Trainee to join Societe Generale on a full-time basis for 12 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced practitioners to get a solid understanding in cashflow modelling, structuring, valuation and risk analysis – all core aspects of the role, through ad hoc training and on-the-job experience. You will be involved in all aspects of the deal life cycle from market research and preparation of initial proposals through to client meetings and deal execution with a good level of exposure to senior level management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing team and get hands-on experience within a fast-paced, results focused, global organization. You will work alongside teams in Infrastructure, Energy, Metals and Mining, Financial Institutions, Debt Capital Markets and Asset Backed Products.


The Graduate Trainee role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the real estate finance business at one of Europe’s leading real estate banks. The candidate will benefit from working in a fast-paced industry with clients who are engaging in innovative transactions, including sustainability-linked and green loans. The scope of work will cover a wide range of aspects, from origination through to structuring, credit analysis, cashflow modelling, documentation and closing a deal.

During the summer after his sophomore year, Reid interned at a private debt advisory firm, which gave him insight into fund finance and real estate private equity. On campus, he is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors and a founding father of Kappa Delta Rho. In his free time, Reid enjoys cooking, staying active, and watching his favorite movies and TV shows, which include Quentin Tarantino films and Curb Your Enthusiasm. (Source: fisher.osu.edu)


Samuel Saldarriaga is a finance student at the Fisher College of Business from Columbus, OH. As a sophomore, Samuel was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and completed the Wall Street Prep certification. Samuel is a member of the 25th Honors Cohort, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning. He is also an active member of Buckeye Capital Investors, the Deans Leadership Academy, and the Fisher F.I.R.S.T. program. In the summer of 2021, Samuel interned as an Early Career Investor at Wellington Management Company in Boston, MA, developing his passion for finance and investing. In his free time, Samuel loves to hike, travel, and watch movies.

What is IBP? The Investment Banking Program (IBP) is a student-led, seminar-style program committed to introducing undergraduate students to and preparing them for a career in the investment banking industry and admission into the Fisher Futures Program.
