Phoenix to Miami OOR

Phoenix to Miami OOR

Phoenix to Miami:

Imagine that you are planning a trip to Miami and want to rent a car to get there. Which car companies should you go to for research? How long does it take to get there? What are your options? You may already know what you should do with your research, but as we know, relying solely on intuition can prevent us from seeing all of our options. So why not have that feeling be amplified by the amount of research inputs to yield that momentary "aha"! moment?

Travel

Cons: "As soon as we arrived to the airport, checking in was the biggest hassle. We were harassed by a guy working the ticket counter named Guilermo. He was EXTREMELY rude and continued to harass us and followed us after we checked in and we're already at the security check point. It's $25 to check a bag but if you check 2 bags their website says its $35 for both. We were charged $50 to check two bags. Even after Guilermo told both of us that they wouldn't charge us for the second bag to be checked. The guy that checked our bags was also extremely rude and clearly didn't care. Once we started boarding the flight several passengers had to check their bags at the gate because there "wasn't enough room on the plane". Not really sure how this was fair since we had just paid $50 to check two bags and were lied to about it when several people just checked their bags for free. We chose to fly with United because of the good deals they have on flights but after our experience I would MUCH rather pay more money and have a lot better customer service. We had such a horrible experience it almost ruined our first day of our week long trip. I'm. It really sure if it's obvious to the employees of United but traveling for most people is a very special occasion. This occasion happen to be a very special one to us as it was a family vacation and seeing family we haven't seen in years. The poor attitudes and rude demeanor from the United staff is all we could think about even after we reached our destination."

Pros: "The check in staff were rude, we felt like we were rushed. Frontier is a deceitful airline, they didn't tell us that the bags were SO expensive, usually an airline gives you some bag for free, nope! Carry on and checked luggage cost a ton of money. Not to mention you have to pay for seats, which is expensive! If you're travelling with someone and you don't pay for seats and you wait until the end to be assigned then you won't end up sitting beside the person you're travelling with and I must tell you the response I got from them was that they're busy and they have no time to deal with this. Then there is the flight crew, through the flight all I could hear is the flight crew talking about how they are on a waiting list and something about becoming a full attendant and every other word was accompanied by a bad word. I would file for a refund if I thought that would get me anywhere. Sorry Kayak I like you but from now on I'll be going direct to American Airlines. By the way! The CEO of Frontier is the former CEO of spirit...That alone should tell you stay AWAY."Tickets from Sky Harbor International Airport to Miami International Airport tend to be expensive during busy seasons such as the year-end and New Year and summer holidays. This season is high season, and even if you can book with an early-bird discount or low-cost carrier, the fare is often still almost the same as the regular fare. To save on flight tickets, try to avoid booking during peak season whenever possible. If you can, try to book when tickets are relatively cheap. From mid-January to February, the number of travelers tends to decrease. Especially in Europe, flights are cheaper during this period. In April, airline tickets also tend to be cheaper because few people travel. Also, around October, many people refrain from traveling towards Christmas or the end of the year, so ticket prices can drop again. Flights from Sky Harbor International Airport to Miami International Airport tend to be relatively cheap for flights departing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. (Source: www.trip.com)

Mia

Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Cons: "AA let me know that our flights were delayed to MIA, which would in effect, make up miss out connection to get to Kingston, Jamaica. They tried to rebook us, but for the NEXT day. So after calling, I got my ticket rebooked for an earlier flight, but I couldn’t do the same for my boyfriend’s. At the airport we requested he check in as standby, however, the rep checking us in said he couldn’t. We asked for other flights arriving on the same day at the original ticket & even looking across partner airlines, he said there was nothing. Hard to believe, but then eventually said he found something by way of Lax to AZ to MIA & then KIN that would arrive later that night. We quickly took it because it was getting late to check in for TSA for my flight, only to find out later that the ticket he printed was for arrival the next night - not at all what we agreed upon! What a waste of time, as if the money we spent on this vacation didn’t mean anything, and when I called to get compensated, I was told to write in to AA. Write in. It’s 2018. Who can I speak with to get compensated for our time & money being wasted? I understand it may not have been within AA control, however, I would have liked for them to have cared that we were inconvenienced as paying customers, instead of being told, in action & in words, that the inconvenience we were being put through (to no fault of our own) was no big deal & we should just suck up the money we are loosing as a result. Very disappointed ☹️" (Source: www.kayak.com)
