American football coach Mike Tomlin currently heads the Pittsburgh Steelers of National Football League. He was a football coach in the NCAA player at Michigan and has coached in the NFL since 1996. He was the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a former quarterback and defensive back. The Steelers won the Super Bowl under Tomlin's leadership in 2008.

Mike Tomlin, a native of Hampton, Virginia was drafted by the Baltimore Colts into the NFL in 1970. His father, Eddie Tomlin, was a former wide receiver and tight end. He played in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes. He was recruited by the Steelers in 2000 as an assistant coach. He was a coach for tight ends and wide receivers. In 2007, he was appointed head coach of the Steelers which he then won the Super Bowl in his second season.

Despite his experience in the NFL being a mixed bag, Tomlin is making history as head coach for the first time. With a record of 7-0 and a record of 7-0, the Steelers have the most successful record of the league.
