This online tool calculates the volume of a rectangular shaped box, solid or space from the dimensions of length, width and height. There is no need to input values in the same measurement units, just select your preferred units for each dimension and calculated volume.
Once the measurements for length and width have been entered, along with the preferred units for each parameter, the calculated area value will be shown in the answer box highlighted in red. Also a graphic will be shown of a scaled drawing to the correct proportions and labelled with each dimension and calculated area.
Measure the length of the area you’re measuring. Square metres are a unit for measuring area or the size of a two-dimensional object such as a floor or a field. Measure the width. Use the same tool to measure the width of the same area or object. The side you measure in this step should be angled close to 90° away from the length of the object you measured earlier, like two sides of a square next to each other. Write this number down as well.
Unless the object you’re measuring is much smaller than 1 metre, you can round to the nearest centimetre when making your measurements. For instance, if the width is slightly past the 1 metre 8-centimetre mark, just use “1m 8cm” as your measurement, without using decimals or millimetre measurements. (Source: grassfactory.co.za)
When you upload the side image of a Cylinder Ttarget to the Target Manager, you must consider the actual shape and circumference of the object. As the Target Manager requires the defined parameters and the uploaded images to have exact dimensions, it is an obligation to properly calculate the shape that you work with.
