To present a pleasant dining experience to the customers, the hostess undertake the following roles and responsibilities – welcoming guests, putting them on the wait list if needed, escorting the guests to their respective tables, presenting the available menu, coordinating with wait staffs, cleaning and stocking menu at host area, ensuring immediate cleaning of tables, responding to complaints, answering phone calls, greeting customers while they leave and providing excellent customer service.

To successfully execute this role, the following skills need to be emphasized on the Hostess Resume – the ability to deliver top-notch service, knowledge of health and safety regulations, managing reservation experience, restaurant etiquette, monitoring abilities, and good physical condition.
