H Mart is your one-stop-shop for Korean food and groceries. The store is owned and operated by Korean immigrants and sells Korean, Mexican, and Indian foods.
H Mart is the largest Asian supermarket chain in America and is the pioneer of Asian food in America. Starting in 1982 with a single store in Woodside, Queens, H Mart has grown to include more than 97 stores across the United States. H Mart is America’s premier Asian food destination and provides groceries and everyday essential needs as well as upscale products. H Mart offers a full line of Asian foods as well as a broad range of Western groceries to complement its full-scale offering to that of a traditional supermarket. H Mart is also known for its innovative new food halls which are an extension of over 30 years of providing eateries in its stores.
Wow, what an experience! I absolutely loved my time at H Mart Supermarket in Doraville! There is an insane variety of products offerings including a very large produce section, fresh fish market, sizeable frozen foods section, an immense dry food section, a wonderfully fresh bakery and even a descent-sized alcohol and beverage section. Additionally, they have a small section of mall-type shops with clothing/gadgets/etc and a great cafeteria area with a myriad of Asian-style restaurants to choose from. I enjoyed a authentic Korean style, squid ink hot dog - yum! The staff were also very efficient at managing the long lines at checkout: the lines moved much quicker than I expected based on the amount of people. If you live anywhere in the area, or are just passing through Atlanta, it is beyond worth the trip to visit this H Mart location! I will make a point of patronizing this store as often as possible! I was very upset today about buying rotten fish carp today that was displayed as fresh, cleaned and cut by fishmongers, assured that was fresh and clean and for me to enjoy! The fish started to smell in the car 1 mile away from the store and i could not understand what was smelling bad until i came home and discovered rotten fish in the bags. Those fishmongers should be ashamed of themselves! Discussting service and obnoxious attitude in the broad daylight! Stay away from this place!!! (Source: www.restaurantji.com)
