Some technology is developing faster than others – virtual reality, supercomputers, and smartphones are just a few examples. And as these technologies rapidly evolve, the uses for them change as well. It just seems so natural for science fiction writers to imagine these technologies as tomorrow’s reality in the 1980s and 90s. But when you take a step back and look at the developing achievements and economy – they don’t seem like they’re going to be popular in the future.

Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe danced her way to the Mirror Ball trophy on Season 29 of DWTS, not long before she took up co-hosting duties with Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette. In addition to joining the DWTS Live Tour in 2022, her recent Bachelor Nation hosting upgrade would make her a great choice to be the show’s newest host. Already a part of the ABC family, her serving double hosting duty could help boost ratings for both series, making it a win-win situation for her and the network.

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars has been fortunate to have a loyal viewership and fan base throughout its 31 seasons on the air. While some seasons have generated more interest than others, the series is one of the few on television whose fans have remained dedicated. However, there appear to be some longstanding issues viewers would like to see addressed before watching the series new season. They discussed problems which they claimed held the show back over the past several seasons in a Reddit thread. (Source: www.cheatsheet.com)

Derek Hough was the first professional dance partner to win three seasons. He and model/show host Brooke Burke won Season 7. After that, he won two seasons consecutively. In Season 10, he and Pussycat Dolls front-woman Nicole Scherzinger were victorious. In Season 11, he and movie star Jennifer Grey laid claim to the Mirror Ball Trophy. In Season 16, he won with country singer Kellie Pickler. In Season 17, he won the trophy with 'Glee' star Amber Riley. In Season 21, Derek Hough went on to win his 6th mirrorball trophy with wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin.

The show is coming off a fall run that saw its same-day ratings rise in the key ad demographic of adults 18-49. It was up about 9 percent in the demo, while its seven-day rating was even with the fall 2019 run — no small accomplishment in a time when many shows have fallen by double digit percentages from last season. Dancing With the Stars averaged 7.09 million viewers over seven days in the fall, down a little from 7.84 million in 2019 but in the upper third of ABC’s primetime series this season.
