Chick Fil a Georgia

I’m not sure why or how a restaurant chain called ‘Chick-fil-A’ would be located in Georgia, but I went ahead and used Google Maps to see where they were located. I was surprised to find its close proximity to the Chattahoochee River. Maybe it’s a river that looks like a chicken?

Chick-fil-A's Sunday closures extend to non-traditional locations. In addition to countless shopping malls and airports, a Chick-fil-A location at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is closed on Sundays despite the fact that its main tenant, the Atlanta Falcons, plays most of their home games on Sundays. The location is open when the Falcons have a Monday night, Thursday night or Saturday home game, as well as non-Sunday home games of Atlanta United FC and other events at the stadium. The Chick-fil-A remained closed for Super Bowl LIII. On Sundays, the digital signs are flipped and concessionaire Levy Restaurants sells nonbranded food and drinks at the location.

Chick-fil-A™ Founder S. Truett Cathy opened the Dwarf Grill (later renamed the Dwarf House) at this site on May 23, 1946. After years of trial and error, it is here that Cathy invented what is widely considered the first-ever fried chicken breast sandwich in the early 1960s. Cathy would go on to open the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Mall in 1967, pioneering the concept of in-mall restaurants. In addition to high-quality food, Chick-fil-A is known for its customer service philosophy, stewardship, philanthropy and community involvement. Each Chick-fil-A restaurant, independently owned and operated, serves the community in which it resides. Chick-fil-A restaurants are famously closed on Sundays, providing team members a day of rest. With thousands of restaurants nationwide, Chick-fil-A has grown to become one of the largest privately-held and family-owned restaurant chains in the U.S. (Source: georgiahistory.com)
