Butler V Norton - Credit Hire Companies & Non-Party Costs Orders::
In Butler v Norton, the Court of Appeal held that the credit hire company's refusal to accept claimant's full liability was a valid defense. A non-party-costs order which is a requirement, should be granted when a claimant has suffered substantial financial loss and is incapable of paying the credit hire.
