The All Star Futures Game is an annual all-star baseball game that takes place on Independence Day, July 4, at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. The event has been held annually since 2003. The contest began in 1935.

The MLB All-Star Break is almost here, and one of the most underrated events is one that will likely feature some of the sport’s biggest stars in the future. The MLB All-Star Futures Game is a bit hidden, as it takes place on Sunday, July 11th around the same time MLB teams play their final game before the break. The Futures Game will start at 3:00 p.m. ET from Coors Field in Denver and can be seen on MLB Network or streamed on MLB.com.

All 30 MLB organizations are represented, with up to two players from any organisation and 25 players per team. One team is made up of prospects from American League organizations and the other of National League prospects. From 1999 to 2018, teams were divided into U.S. and World teams based on place of birth. Any player selected to the All-Star Futures Game but promoted to the majors prior to the game is replaced.
