A Outback Menu
Outback Steakhouse is best known for a menu filled with its tasty grilled steaks, chicken, and seafood. Their American cuisine, like prime steak cuts, chicken entrées, ribs, pasta dishes, salads, soups, and seafood, has risen to popularity. A good meal at Outback Steakhouse will cost you nearly $20. Steaks in Outback are grilled either on a flat-top grill or over an open fire using oak wood.
Outback Steakhouse is an Australian-themed casual dining restaurant chain founded by Bob Basham, Chris T. Sullivan, Trudy Cooper, and Tim Gannon in March 1988. However, they serve American specialty steak. It is America’s biggest steakhouse brand and its first restaurant was opened in Tampa, Florida. Currently, the brand has over 1000 stores and had a total of $1.76 Billion in revenue in 2020. They had a rock steady beginning as people liked their food and their brand. Due to its growing popularity, the brand has opened five new restaurants within 15 months of its initial launch. But for Basha, Sullivan, Cooper, and Gannon, the sky was the limit. By the early 1990s, Outback Steakhouse had opened locations in Orlando, Jacksonville, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, Houston, Dallas, Texas, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Washington.
But at the same time, Carrabba’s was not doing well because of the competition in the market. After some time, Carrabba’s was relaunched to compete with other Italian restaurants. To make more profits, the brand started to look for more breakout opportunities again, like Outback Steakhouse. They came across 3 opportunities-a Creole restaurant that they launched in 2000; they partnered with chef-restaurateur Roy Yamaguchi to further develop Roy’s Restaurants and another joint venture to develop Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. The demand for their food was growing in the market, so they decided to make bigger stores that had the capacity of accommodating around 200 people at a time. They were trying to make the experience of their customer better. In 1993, Outback Steakhouse decided to enter into a joint venture with a Houston restaurant group to develop Carrabba’s Italian Grill restaurants. (Source: thefoodxp.com)
