The Georgia Gwinnett College school of education and human services hosted its annual "Heisman" night Sunday night. Each year, they present a Heisman Trophy replica to the player who showed tremendous character as well as excellence on the field with the "honor" of being compared to the mythical college sporting hero for that season. This weekend's recipient was baseball senior Tom Butler, who was honored for his outstanding stats in the field, as well as for his character.
Thomas has won 10 of its last 11 games, including four consecutive victories, to stand 11-8 on the season. The team is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Rochester College (Mich.) on Sunday. The Night Hawks are 2-4 in The Sun Conference, winning one game from each series against Florida Memorial University and Keiser University (Fla.) in February.

Lawrenceville, Ga.- A game many followers of Tennessee Wesleyan baseball had circled on their calendars took place on Wednesday. The #12 Bulldogs traveled to Lawrenceville, Ga. to take on the third-ranked team in the country, the Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies. The last time the teams met, TWU walked off Athens Insurance Stadium with an upset of then #2 Georgia Gwinnett and was looking to do the same thing in Lawrenceville on Wednesday.
