This selection round for the FSS Main Event at Citi Field is limited to 132-150 players who are divided into teams closely resembling regions across the country. Teams are coached by Future Stars Series National Staff and Current Major League Baseball Club Scouts. The 2022 FSS National Combine will be held at Fenway Park. Players will receive footwear, a jersey, hat, and pants along with a vision and cognitive response test, psych exam, video, and data analysis. Both New Balance Baseball and Marucci Sports will be on hand to allow players to customize their gear should they be selected to the Main Event. There is no cost for participating in this event, but selected players will take part in fundraising efforts for charity through the Future Stars Series Foundation.

The annual signature event of the New Balance Future Stars Series. This invitation-only series features the best and brightest high school players from around the country. Players are identified by PROGRAM 15's National Scouting Staff made up of former Major League Players, Coaches, and Scouts through the New Balance Future Stars Series Development Combines, Scout Days, Partner Events, and National Trials. The Junior National Development Team is determined through the use of a "Future Stars" National Championships/Evaluation held in the fall of each year. The competition targets the 10, 11, and 12-year old age groups of athletes and involves athletes being judged/evaluated on the six events using a basic skills compulsory routine composed of approximately ten basic skills elements placed together in routine form. In addition, there are events that involve evaluation on trampoline, flexibility, strength and body positions. The evaluations are done by a coach/Junior National Coaching Staff member and a NGJA judge working together to produce a score based on technique and execution.

Regional Combines are the first large step toward a selection to a FSS Signature event, and the direct path to the National or Underclass Combines. An invitation only event, players attending will receive a shirt, hat, full MLB level scouting report, video, data analysis, and on site player development by the Future Stars Series National staff which includes Major League All Stars and World Series Winners. This level is a must attend to advance to Citi field, Fenway Park, Underclass Elite, or the Fresh 50. (Source: futurestarsseries.com)

The Future Stars of Sports app will give you schedules, standings, scores, notifications, maps, and brackets for the events you attend. Directors and score keepers will be able use the app to enter in scores for games as soon as they are completed so teams can know how their competition is doing. Directors also have the ability to send out weather updates, game delays or other important information to anyone who subscribes for messages to an event.

The Future Stars Championships are divided into three age groups. The three age groups, the number of athletes who will be named to the National Development Team from the Future Stars National Championships and the number of athletes who will be invited to a special Development Team camp are below. Information about the current championships will be placed on the Men's Program Events page. (Source: usagym.org)
