Lyon, France (AP) -- The prize money pool for the 2023 Women's World Cup has been increased from $30 million in 2019 to a whopping $110 Million. That is an increase of more than 300% over the available funds in 2020.

On Thursday, FIFA President Gianni Infantino reiterated his call for more money to go towards paying players after being reelected by acclamation through 2027. Additionally, he lashed out at broadcasters for offering too little compensation for TV rights sales.
