Westleading Stars beat Golden Knights 32 in shootout

On Tuesday night, the West-leading Stars emerged victorious in a shootout over Vegas 3-2. Coming off of a road trip and losing both games back-to-back is never ideal for any team, especially one that had just conceded a goal in the final minute of regulation time. It proved to be an unlucky break for Vegas as they lost both games by one goal.

But the Golden Knights managed to scrape out a point against an undermanned team facing salary cap issues. It was an impressive effort, for sure.

Roope Hintz’s goal was overturned

On Tuesday night, Dallas Stars forward Aaron Hintz scored twice to give them a 3-2 victory against Nashville. Jake Oettinger made 26 saves for Dallas (33-17-12).

The Stars had an early lead in the first period, but Nashville tied it with Filip Forsberg's goal at 1:19 of the second. Juuse Saros made 30 saves for Nashville, who lost their fifth straight game and haven't scored more than two goals in seven games during that stretch.

At 2:05 left in regulation, Dallas took the lead back when Hintz beat Saros on a power play to reverse Vegas' 2-1 advantage set up by Jack Eichel. Oettinger then hit a shot through a screen from above the right circle to knot things up at 2-2.

After a video review was initiated, the goal was upheld. The Stars then scored two shootout goals from Hintz and Jason Robertson while Oettinger couldn't save anything for the Knights.

On November 5, the Stars snapped their five-game skid and improved to 10-2-1 overall. During that stretch, they've defeated four teams that were among the NHL's top three during regular season play and boast a winning record against teams with better records than their own.

In that streak, the Stars have displayed a strong defensive approach and allowed only six goals in five games. It's an important aspect of their success as they seek to extend their streak of five-game victories.

On Thursday night, the Stars travel to Minnesota Wild and must find a way to beat a team that ranks fourth in goals per game. The Wild have gone 19-12-2 this season and have won three of their last six against the Stars.

With a victory, the Stars will advance to the Western Conference final and have an opportunity at their first Stanley Cup in their history. However, some key factors need to fall into place: an improved performance from Oettinger and additional support from young players like Roope Hintz and Miro Heiskanen.

Wyatt Johnston’s goal was overturned

On Saturday night, the Dallas Stars snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-2 shootout win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Roope Hintz scored the shootout winner and Jason Robertson put an end to their hopes in the final round. Despite their challenging start this season, the Stars now lead the Central Division with 74 points.

Since Monday night's shootout loss to Minnesota, the Stars have won two straight and improved to 6-2-3 overall. That puts them tied with Winnipeg for most wins in the NHL and within reach of becoming Stanley Cup champions.

Many Stars players are on long-term injured lists, such as forward Jamie Benn and Dustin Brown, defenseman Nils Lundkvist and goaltender Jake Oettinger. But rookie Wyatt Johnston made his first game after being recalled from the minors with a goal - his third of the season!

Johnston tied the game just over four minutes into the second period with a slap shot from just inside the blue line. This goal marked Oettinger's first goal in five games.

However, his goal was overturned when the Golden Knights argued that the Stars weren't onside. Rather than receiving a point for holding onto the puck too long, the Stars were given a penalty and sent to the box.

After reviewing the footage, it was determined that the puck had gone into the net after all. This marked the first time this season a goal had been overturned due to offsides.

However, the overturned goal was not the most significant moment of Dallas' win against the Knights, which secured them their first Central Division playoff spot since 2008-09. It was a hard-fought 3-2 triumph that had many of Dallas' star players celebrating.

The Stars rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the third period and appeared to have won when Jack Eichel beat Oettinger with a wrist shot at 15:24 of regulation time to tie the score. But it was overtime where acrobatic goalie Laurent Brossoit made an amazing save at 1:02 of extra time that sent it into shootout action.

Jason Robertson’s goal was overturned

West-leading Stars defeat Golden Knights 3-2 in a shootout to remain one point behind Vegas for the Western Conference's top spot. Jason Robertson scored twice, tying Jamie Benn and Mike Modano as Dallas' youngest players with five-game goal streaks before their 24th birthdays.

Robertson's performance in the final two minutes of regulation marked a highpoint, as he scored two goals from long range to send the game into overtime - marking his first time this season scoring two goals within 30 seconds. It marked an incredible feat for any Dallas player this season!

Robertson made both goals on backdoor passing plays, moving the puck to the right of the goal and shooting from high slot, beating Connor Hellebuyck who had been screened. On a power play play, Robertson connected on another shot that proved decisive this season - her first shot to beat Hellebuyck since November 6.

Recently, several Robertson goals have made headlines. A slicing one-timer on the Capitals' power play, a wrister past an unguarded Igor Shesterkin and Joe Pavelski's pass that bounced off a defender and into the net all made for impressive highlight reel moments.

Though some of these goals may appear straightforward, they often necessitate a lot of hard work from the Stars' forward. When Robertson is on the ice, he's the person who takes on tough situations to make things happen - which sets him apart from others on his team.

It's one of the main reasons why 21-year-old has scored a goal in each game this season, although that doesn't make him the best player in the league, it does mean he has been an efficient scorer.

This week, the Stars added two more goals against the Avalanche and Jets that kept their point streak alive. In each game, it was a crucial goal in overtime that kept Dallas within one goal of securing a playoff spot.

Robertson's hat trick was the main event, but his first point in the win also made a statement. He tied a club record with his forty-second goal of the season - and it came during an exciting third period.

Jack Eichel’s goal was overturned

Last week, Jack Eichel scored a goal that was overturned after review by the NHL Department of Player Safety. The center's shot hit the back of the net and gave Vegas a 1-0 lead, but that decision was overturned following further review by their department.

Gerard Gallant, the coach of the Golden Knights, filed a challenge with the league claiming that the puck should have been blown dead once it crossed over and hit the camera. However, this goal was overturned since there wasn't enough evidence to prove it had been in air when it struck the frame.

Even after their goal was overturned, Alex Pietrangelo still made it count by setting up the winning power-play goal at 4:20. Since being traded to Vegas last November, the former Sabres captain has struggled to find his footing on the top line; however, he appears to be finding it now.

Eichel has recorded four points in his last four games, including two goals and three assists. This season he has 15 goals, 18 assists, 116 shots on goal, a plus-15 rating, and 25 hits through 33 contests.

After the All-Star break, Eichel has continued his impressive form in February with three goals and four assists over six games. In all, he has 10 goals, 14 assists, 73 shots on goal and a plus-15 rating through 20 matches.

He's had a remarkable run on the power play, scoring five points in seven games while adding two assists. Additionally, he's logged nearly 18 minutes of ice time and gone 4-for-4 on faceoffs this month.

In addition to his goals and assists, the former Buffalo captain is also showcasing some of his best passing abilities as he centers the top line to great success. He currently ranks fourth in points scored and fifth in even-strength shooting percentage among forwards with 30 or more appearances.

Jack Eichel is back and looking better than ever for the Knights, helping them remain a playoff team. However, whether or not the former Buffalo star can sustain this level of production remains to be seen.

Melanie Martin, Carter's fiancee, told authorities her boyfriend may have overdosed on drugs the night before he died. She has text messages showing he was dealing with an unknown individual and had allegedly owed $800 for some type of substance. Carter claimed to no longer need it but was insisted upon paying back the debt.

The family of Aaron Carter is now hoping police will look into the alleged drug deal he made before his passing. His mother Jane Carter and fiancee Melanie Martin both urge authorities to investigate this matter seriously as they believe it may have been the cause of why Carter overdosed.

Although it remains unknown what happened to Aaron Carter, it's essential to remember his history of addiction and mental health problems. In 2017, he was arrested for driving under the influence and later had a restraining order placed against him in 2019.

His family members are anxiously awaiting toxicology reports to determine what was in his system when he passed away. They want to know if the drug that caused his passing was a prescription medication or an illicit substance.

He had a remarkable voice, yet his life was marked by struggles with alcohol and drugs. From teenage years onward, the singer battled addiction as well as mental illness.

His death came as a shock to both his family and fans, who had been hoping for an early recovery. He had been striving to get better and make amends with those close to him.

His death has been ruled an accident

On Saturday morning (Nov. 5), his housekeeper discovered Carter in the bathtub and called police. However, during their investigation they could find no indication of foul play had taken place.

Homicide investigators discovered bottles of prescription pills and canisters of compressed air in Carter's home. These items are believed to have been related to his use of huffing aerosols for drug addiction purposes.

A toxicology report will be released soon, however it still unknown what caused Carter's passing. In an interview with US talk show The Doctors, Carter disclosed that he was taking six different drugs to try to stabilize his health.

What Happened to Michael J Fox?

Michael J Fox achieved fame during the 80s as a teenage heartthrob. Since then, he has won three Emmy Awards and starred on TV series Family Ties and Spin City.

At 29 years old, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease - a degenerative disorder that causes tremors and slowness of movement. To conceal his diagnosis for seven years, he took dopamine pills to ease early symptoms of the illness.

What Happened to Michael J. Fox?

Michael J. Fox began his acting career by staring in some of the biggest hits of the 1980s, such as Robert Zemeckis' Back to the Future trilogy. Over time, he earned five Primetime Emmy awards, four Golden Globe awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards; plus he received honorary doctorates, was made an Officer of the Order of Canada and inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.

Despite his early success, it wasn't until 29 that he received the diagnosis of young-onset Parkinson's disease. At that point, he became an advocate for research into the disorder and founded his foundation.

As a result of his early diagnosis, Fox began experiencing tremors that affected his hands and fingers. Eventually, he developed what is known as a "pill rolling" tremor, which involves rolling pills in his hands.

Still, he remains an upbeat individual and a great source of motivation for those living with Parkinson's. As an advocate for raising awareness about the condition, he has raised more than $1 billion and a half dollars for research into Parkinson's.

When not working on his film and television projects, Fox enjoys traveling with his wife Tracy Pollan and their four children. Additionally, he has become an avid reader, currently reading The Autobiography of Jack Sparrow by Edgar Allen Poe.

He is a dedicated family man, having dedicated his life to raising his children with wife Tracy. Additionally, he has become an outspoken advocate for Parkinson's disease research, raising over one and a half billion dollars since his 1991 diagnosis.

Fox has enjoyed a prestigious career in both film and TV, staring in the beloved Family Ties film. Additionally, he's guest-starred on numerous popular shows like Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

His latest role is on ABC drama Designated Survivor as Ethan West. Previously, he portrayed wily attorney Lewis Canning on The Good Wife and continues to delight fans with multi-episode guest arcs on several hit series.

Parkinson’s Disease

At 29 years old, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease - one of the most devastating events of his life. Fortunately, he had family and friends by his side to support him through this difficult time.

For seven years, the actor kept his condition hidden from the public eye; however, in 1998 he made a career-altering decision which turned him into an advocate for Parkinson's research and an outspoken voice in search of a cure. It also transformed him from an introverted and stoic individual into someone upbeat and optimistic who believes that by educating people, elected officials, and scientists about this neurodegenerative condition they can make an impact on millions who suffer from it worldwide.

He has achieved such remarkable success in combatting his illness that he recently signed on to an NBC comedy series--an honor many in the industry doubted was possible for him. Even without a pilot episode yet, NBC gave Fox their confidence vote, showing that he remains passionate about acting and ready to pursue what he loves most: acting.

Fox lives seven floors above his Manhattan office with Tracy Pollan and their four children--Sam, 23, twins Schuyler and Aquinnah, 18, as well as Esme, 11 years old--in a prewar apartment overlooking Central Park. It's quite the nest for them all; with Sam heading off to college in the fall while Esme stays put with her parents.

It's an unusual arrangement, but it works out well for them. The twins can pursue school and extracurricular activities while their parents stay at home to support them with homework assistance and dinner preparation. It's a wonderful balance!

Fox experienced increasing hardship as his disease progressed, and he struggled to maintain a balance between work and personal life. Furthermore, it proved challenging for him to cope with his daughter's autism diagnosis as well as dealing with his son's struggles with depression.

Fox ultimately sobered up and began to focus on those around him. As an advocate for Parkinson's research, he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in 2000 which has been successful in raising funds and funding research to combat this disease.

Sobriety

Following his 1991 Parkinson's disease diagnosis, Fox turned to alcohol as a way to escape the negative effects of his condition. He recounted hiding bottles around the house from his wife Tracy Pollan and drinking in order to forget about his illness.

Fox was an accomplished performer despite the early onset of Parkinson's Disease. His roles included Teen Wolf and Back to the Future as well as TV shows like Family Ties.

He had an eye for masking his tremors while on set, using props to hide them from viewers. He said he'd take dopamine pills -- used for treating Parkinson's disease -- and hold his props so they didn't show on camera.

At 29 years old, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's and forced to scale back his career. Although able to continue working for several more years, ultimately opting to leave acting behind and focus on being a father.

After his diagnosis, Fox was reluctant to share the news with the public. He believed that people wouldn't understand and didn't want to burden his wife or children with such information.

Once Fox faced the truth of his illness, he began to reflect on how it had affected him and what could be done about it. With determination, he set about finding a solution for his illness.

At some point, he realized the only solution was to stop drinking and get sober. Although this proved challenging, the love and support of his wife and four children helped him get through it.

Fox's sobriety was ultimately successful, allowing him to find peace and contentment in his life. Now a father to three daughters, he leads an active lifestyle alongside his wife.

Davis Guggenheim's documentary Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie (which premiered at Sundance Film Festival) provides an inspiring glimpse into the actor's personal journey with Parkinson's disease. In it, Fox shares his struggles and how it affected him and his family; he describes how he initially turned to drugs and alcohol for comfort while masking symptoms; eventually turning away from substances altogether in sobriety.

Family

His career took off when he starred as time-travelling teen Marty McFly in Back to the Future and went on to star in several other movies. Additionally, he was cast as Alex Keaton on TV comedy Family Ties, where he met actress Tracy Pollan - who would later become his wife.

Fox and Pollan will mark 35 years of marriage this July, a momentous occasion in their lives. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the couple spoke candidly about how they've managed to stay together all these years.

Fox and his wife have remained resilient despite adversity. Together, they have four children: son Sam (33); twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 27; and daughter Esme (20).

In a recent interview with ET, Fox praised his wife for providing him the strength to cope with Parkinson's disease. He described her as intelligent, protective and everything else a man could want in a spouse.

Fox remains upbeat despite his health challenges, and is still very active. Additionally, he's an ardent supporter of Parkinson's research having raised an incredible $1.5 billion for Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF), the organization he founded in 2000 with his brother Michael.

According to MJFF's website, the 61-year-old is an inspiring advocate who believes there is a cure and everyone should have access to treatment. He's an inspiring example of how an ordinary person can make a difference by using their voice and influence for positive change in people's lives.

His devotion to Parkinson's research was recognized by the United States Congress in 2002, awarding him with an award. Additionally, he's received the Officer of the Order of Canada and an honorary degree from the University of Alberta for his efforts.

Fox has earned a variety of accolades for his acting, including five Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes. In addition to starring in several films, he voiced Stuart Little and Martin McFly in Back to the Future: The Animated Series and Lego Dimensions. Furthermore, he appeared on television shows such as Scrubs and Rescue Me.

What Happened to Tiffany Haddish?

One month after her sexual harassment lawsuit was dismissed, Tiffany Haddish is back on the red carpet for Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration on Monday.

Recently, Haddish and MADtv alum Aries Spears were accused of molestation by an anonymous plaintiff named Jane Doe. She claims she was groomed and sexually exploited by Haddish and MADtv alum Aries Spears while still a minor.

What Happened to Tiffany Haddish?

Tiffany Haddish is back at work and speaking out for the first time since she and Aries Spears were accused of child sexual abuse by an anonymous woman last month. On Monday evening, the Girls Trip actress made a red carpet appearance at an Elle Women in Hollywood celebration at Getty Center in Los Angeles.

She looked stunning at the event and posed for photos alongside fellow honorees Anne Hathaway and Sigourney Weaver. Shortly after, Michelle Yeoh shared a video of herself giving an inspiring speech during the celebration.

Haddish is the star of both TBS' The Last O.G. (2018-2010) and Netflix/Adult Swim's animated series Tuca & Bertie (2019-2022).

The 42-year-old actress is a renowned comedian, having starred in multiple TV shows and movies. Most recently, her album Black Mitzvah earned her a Grammy Award for best comedy album.

Her latest project is the highly anticipated sequel to Girls Trip, and she also has a new television show on TBS called The Afterparty.

In August, Jane Doe - now 22 - filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Haddish and Spears, accusing them of sexually exploiting her and her younger brother John through several comedy skits they filmed when they were minors. The suit alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment as well as breach of fiduciary duty.

According to the suit, Haddish and Spears coerced the siblings into appearing in a skit titled "Through a Pedophilia's Eyes" that was filmed when they were 7 years old. In it, Haddish plays as a mother who unknowingly leaves her son with Spears, who then focuses his attention on him through two holes in a newspaper. The video was later posted onto Funny or Die website but removed in 2018.

Jane Doe's parents claim they were aware of the sketch but weren't informed how it would be shot. Additionally, they didn't realize her children were being groomed either. According to the lawsuit, both siblings suffered lasting trauma from these experiences, developing social disorders as well as anxiety and depression as a result.

Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears

On Tuesday, a lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Jane Doe and her minor brother against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears for allegedly sexually abusing them when they were children. According to the suit, which was filed as "Jane Doe" and "John Doe," Haddish and Spears used these minors as "Jane Doe" and "John Doe" respectively in creating sexually suggestive videos.

In 2013, Haddish allegedly asked Jane Doe to mimic fellatio for a video. According to the complaint, she paid him $100 and sent her home. In another incident, John Doe is said to have requested Haddish to appear in an "sexually suggestive" skit wearing nothing but his underwear.

According to the lawsuit, during the filming of "Through a Pedophilius' Eyes", Spears engaged in sexual act with the victim and then proceeded to rub his back, according to allegations. The video was uploaded to Funny or Die in 2014 but later removed later that same year, according to court documents.

After viewing the video, the child called his mother and expressed his dissatisfaction with it. He further claimed to have been stripped down to his underwear in the bathroom by a man, according to the suit.

Both Haddish and Spears deny these allegations, branding the lawsuit a "shakedown" and an attempt to extract money from them. Andrew Brettler, Haddish's attorney, confirmed to Page Six that he has spoken with attorneys for both Haddish and Spears about the case and they both concur that these claims are false and represent "a shakedown."

This week, Haddish's rep Cesidia Carosa confirmed to USA TODAY that she has requested for her lawsuit to be dismissed with prejudice - meaning she can no longer refile it. Additionally, the plaintiff asked that all references about Haddish being a "sexaholic" be removed from her record.

In August 2013, Jane Doe - representing herself - filed a suit against Haddish and Spears for forcing her to appear in several sexually suggestive videos in 2013. One video purports that Haddish paid Jane Doe to mimic fellatio while another shows Spears massaging baby oil into the boy's bare shoulders according to TMZ.

Tiffany Haddish and Jane Doe

Recently, two anonymous sisters filed a lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears accusing them of grooming and sexual abuse. Shortly after, we learned the suit had been dismissed with prejudice - meaning it cannot be filed again.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show the woman named "Jane Doe" has dismissed her lawsuit. She and her brother appear to be eager to move on with their lives.

Jane Doe and her younger brother John Doe, who were both minors at the time of the incidents, have claimed that Haddish and Spears molested them in Los Angeles several years prior. According to their complaint, they are seeking damages for "intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment and sexual abuse of a minor."

The lawsuit contends that Haddish and Spears, both Mad TV alumni, recruited the plaintiffs for sexually suggestive skits while they were children. According to the suit, in 2013 Haddish and Spears allegedly encouraged Jane Doe (14 at the time) to imitate fellatio motions for a video.

According to reports, in 2014 Haddish and Spears filmed a sexually suggestive video of John Doe while the boy was still under age. The clip featured Spears as a "pedophile" who lusts after him to R. Kelly's "Bump and Grind," with Haddish portraying his mother who left him with Spears.

After videos of Haddish and Spears went viral online, Jane Doe sought legal counsel to file a civil lawsuit against them. She expressed concern for her brother who is 15 years old and under Jane Doe's legal guardianship.

She expressed concern for his mental health and the potential effects of any allegations made against him. She detailed in the lawsuit that she has noticed his symptoms worsen in recent months.

As you can see in the photos below, the plaintiff has been working diligently with her attorney to secure the original complaint so it does not fall into the wrong hands. She expressed relief that the case has been dropped.

Tiffany Haddish and John Doe

Last month, TMZ reported that a 22-year-old woman filed a lawsuit against comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears. She requested the judge dismiss the suit with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.

The lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears recruited Jane Doe and her brother John Doe to appear in a video when they were both minors. It further states they encouraged Jane Doe to mimic fellatio, an oral sex act, as well as appear in a skit posted on Funny or Die.

According to the suit, both girls experienced emotional trauma from these incidents. Both are diagnosed with social disorders and John Doe has anxiety and depression.

Haddish and Spears have been sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment and sexual abuse against a minor. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for the trauma they endured as a result of these acts, according to the suit.

According to the lawsuit, Haddish and Spears allegedly courted 14-year-old Jane Doe in 2013 to film a video for Subways that featured several coeds arguing over sandwiches, with them moaning and making sexual noises as they consumed them in what appeared to be fellatio.

One year later, Haddish and Spears brought Jane Doe's brother to the same studio for another video. According to the lawsuit, Spears "lusted over him" in what was intended to be a reel that would help him land an acting role on Nickelodeon.

According to the lawsuit, after filming the video, John Doe called his mother crying. Spears is believed to have told the family he was still editing the footage and would get back to them once he had it completed.

In 2018, the family allegedly attempted to reach a settlement with Spears but failed. In January 2020, their mother filed a police report against Haddish and Spears; however, nothing came of it.

The lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears filmed John Doe for "Funny or Die" in 2014, yet the video wasn't removed from the site until May 2021. In the clip, both actors can be seen engaging in sexual acts with John Doe dressed only in his underwear.
