West-Leading Stars Beat Golden Knights 3-2 in Shootout

On Tuesday night, the West-leading Stars emerged victorious in a shootout over Vegas 3-2. Coming off of a road trip and losing both games back-to-back is never ideal for any team, especially one that had just conceded a goal in the final minute of regulation time. It proved to be an unlucky break for Vegas as they lost both games by one goal.

But the Golden Knights managed to scrape out a point against an undermanned team facing salary cap issues. It was an impressive effort, for sure.

Roope Hintz’s goal was overturned

On Tuesday night, Dallas Stars forward Aaron Hintz scored twice to give them a 3-2 victory against Nashville. Jake Oettinger made 26 saves for Dallas (33-17-12).

The Stars had an early lead in the first period, but Nashville tied it with Filip Forsberg's goal at 1:19 of the second. Juuse Saros made 30 saves for Nashville, who lost their fifth straight game and haven't scored more than two goals in seven games during that stretch.

At 2:05 left in regulation, Dallas took the lead back when Hintz beat Saros on a power play to reverse Vegas' 2-1 advantage set up by Jack Eichel. Oettinger then hit a shot through a screen from above the right circle to knot things up at 2-2.

After a video review was initiated, the goal was upheld. The Stars then scored two shootout goals from Hintz and Jason Robertson while Oettinger couldn't save anything for the Knights.

On November 5, the Stars snapped their five-game skid and improved to 10-2-1 overall. During that stretch, they've defeated four teams that were among the NHL's top three during regular season play and boast a winning record against teams with better records than their own.

In that streak, the Stars have displayed a strong defensive approach and allowed only six goals in five games. It's an important aspect of their success as they seek to extend their streak of five-game victories.

On Thursday night, the Stars travel to Minnesota Wild and must find a way to beat a team that ranks fourth in goals per game. The Wild have gone 19-12-2 this season and have won three of their last six against the Stars.

After reviewing the footage, it was determined that the puck had gone into the net after all. This marked the first time this season a goal had been overturned due to offsides.

However, the overturned goal was not the most significant moment of Dallas' win against the Knights, which secured them their first Central Division playoff spot since 2008-09. It was a hard-fought 3-2 triumph that had many of Dallas' star players celebrating.

The Stars rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the third period and appeared to have won when Jack Eichel beat Oettinger with a wrist shot at 15:24 of regulation time to tie the score. But it was overtime where acrobatic goalie Laurent Brossoit made an amazing save at 1:02 of extra time that sent it into shootout action.

Jason Robertson’s goal was overturned

West-leading Stars defeat Golden Knights 3-2 in a shootout to remain one point behind Vegas for the Western Conference's top spot. Jason Robertson scored twice, tying Jamie Benn and Mike Modano as Dallas' youngest players with five-game goal streaks before their 24th birthdays.

On a power play play, Robertson connected on another shot that proved decisive this season - her first shot to beat Hellebuyck since November 6.

Recently, several Robertson goals have made headlines. A slicing one-timer on the Capitals' power play, a wrister past an unguarded Igor Shesterkin and Joe Pavelski's pass that bounced off a defender and into the net all made for impressive highlight reel moments.

Though some of these goals may appear straightforward, they often necessitate a lot of hard work from the Stars' forward. When Robertson is on the ice, he's the person who takes on tough situations to make things happen - which sets him apart from others on his team.

It's one of the main reasons why 21-year-old has scored a goal in each game this season, although that doesn't make him the best player in the league, it does mean he has been an efficient scorer.

This week, the Stars added two more goals against the Avalanche and Jets that kept their point streak alive. In each game, it was a crucial goal in overtime that kept Dallas within one goal of securing a playoff spot.

Robertson's hat trick was the main event, but his first point in the win also made a statement. He tied a club record with his forty-second goal of the season - and it came during an exciting third period.

Jack Eichel’s goal was overturned

Eichel has recorded four points in his last four games, including two goals and three assists. This season he has 15 goals, 18 assists, 116 shots on goal, a plus-15 rating, and 25 hits through 33 contests.

After the All-Star break, Eichel has continued his impressive form in February with three goals and four assists over six games. In all, he has 10 goals, 14 assists, 73 shots on goal and a plus-15 rating through 20 matches.

He's had a remarkable run on the power play, scoring five points in seven games while adding two assists. Additionally, he's logged nearly 18 minutes of ice time and gone 4-for-4 on faceoffs this month.

In addition to his goals and assists, the former Buffalo captain is also showcasing some of his best passing abilities as he centers the top line to great success. He currently ranks fourth in points scored and fifth in even-strength shooting percentage among forwards with 30 or more appearances.

Jack Eichel is back and looking better than ever for the Knights, helping them remain a playoff team. However, whether or not the former Buffalo star can sustain this level of production remains to be seen.

In August, Jane Doe - now 22 - filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Haddish and Spears, accusing them of sexually exploiting her and her younger brother John through several comedy skits they filmed when they were minors. The suit alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment as well as breach of fiduciary duty.

According to the suit, Haddish and Spears coerced the siblings into appearing in a skit titled "Through a Pedophilia's Eyes" that was filmed when they were 7 years old. In it, Haddish plays as a mother who unknowingly leaves her son with Spears, who then focuses his attention on him through two holes in a newspaper. The video was later posted onto Funny or Die website but removed in 2018.

Jane Doe's parents claim they were aware of the sketch but weren't informed how it would be shot. Additionally, they didn't realize her children were being groomed either. According to the lawsuit, both siblings suffered lasting trauma from these experiences, developing social disorders as well as anxiety and depression as a result.

Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears

On Tuesday, a lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Jane Doe and her minor brother against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears for allegedly sexually abusing them when they were children. According to the suit, which was filed as "Jane Doe" and "John Doe," Haddish and Spears used these minors as "Jane Doe" and "John Doe" respectively in creating sexually suggestive videos.

In 2013, Haddish allegedly asked Jane Doe to mimic fellatio for a video. According to the complaint, she paid him $100 and sent her home. In another incident, John Doe is said to have requested Haddish to appear in an "sexually suggestive" skit wearing nothing but his underwear.

According to the lawsuit, during the filming of "Through a Pedophilius' Eyes", Spears engaged in sexual act with the victim and then proceeded to rub his back, according to allegations. The video was uploaded to Funny or Die in 2014 but later removed later that same year, according to court documents.

After viewing the video, the child called his mother and expressed his dissatisfaction with it. He further claimed to have been stripped down to his underwear in the bathroom by a man, according to the suit.

Both Haddish and Spears deny these allegations, branding the lawsuit a "shakedown" and an attempt to extract money from them. Andrew Brettler, Haddish's attorney, confirmed to Page Six that he has spoken with attorneys for both Haddish and Spears about the case and they both concur that these claims are false and represent "a shakedown."

This week, Haddish's rep Cesidia Carosa confirmed to USA TODAY that she has requested for her lawsuit to be dismissed with prejudice - meaning she can no longer refile it. Additionally, the plaintiff asked that all references about Haddish being a "sexaholic" be removed from her record.

In August 2013, Jane Doe - representing herself - filed a suit against Haddish and Spears for forcing her to appear in several sexually suggestive videos in 2013. One video purports that Haddish paid Jane Doe to mimic fellatio while another shows Spears massaging baby oil into the boy's bare shoulders according to TMZ.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show the woman named "Jane Doe" has dismissed her lawsuit. She and her brother appear to be eager to move on with their lives.

Jane Doe and her younger brother John Doe, who were both minors at the time of the incidents, have claimed that Haddish and Spears molested them in Los Angeles several years prior. According to their complaint, they are seeking damages for "intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment and sexual abuse of a minor."

The lawsuit contends that Haddish and Spears, both Mad TV alumni, recruited the plaintiffs for sexually suggestive skits while they were children. According to the suit, in 2013 Haddish and Spears allegedly encouraged Jane Doe (14 at the time) to imitate fellatio motions for a video.

According to reports, in 2014 Haddish and Spears filmed a sexually suggestive video of John Doe while the boy was still under age. The clip featured Spears as a "pedophile" who lusts after him to R. Kelly's "Bump and Grind," with Haddish portraying his mother who left him with Spears.

After videos of Haddish and Spears went viral online, Jane Doe sought legal counsel to file a civil lawsuit against them. She expressed concern for her brother who is 15 years old and under Jane Doe's legal guardianship.

She expressed concern for his mental health and the potential effects of any allegations made against him. She detailed in the lawsuit that she has noticed his symptoms worsen in recent months.

As you can see in the photos below, the plaintiff has been working diligently with her attorney to secure the original complaint so it does not fall into the wrong hands. She expressed relief that the case has been dropped.

Tiffany Haddish and John Doe

Last month, TMZ reported that a 22-year-old woman filed a lawsuit against comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears. She requested the judge dismiss the suit with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.

The lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears recruited Jane Doe and her brother John Doe to appear in a video when they were both minors. It further states they encouraged Jane Doe to mimic fellatio, an oral sex act, as well as appear in a skit posted on Funny or Die.

According to the suit, both girls experienced emotional trauma from these incidents. Both are diagnosed with social disorders and John Doe has anxiety and depression.

Haddish and Spears have been sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, harassment and sexual abuse against a minor. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for the trauma they endured as a result of these acts, according to the suit.

According to the lawsuit, Haddish and Spears allegedly courted 14-year-old Jane Doe in 2013 to film a video for Subways that featured several coeds arguing over sandwiches, with them moaning and making sexual noises as they consumed them in what appeared to be fellatio.

One year later, Haddish and Spears brought Jane Doe's brother to the same studio for another video. According to the lawsuit, Spears "lusted over him" in what was intended to be a reel that would help him land an acting role on Nickelodeon.

According to the lawsuit, after filming the video, John Doe called his mother crying. Spears is believed to have told the family he was still editing the footage and would get back to them once he had it completed.

In 2018, the family allegedly attempted to reach a settlement with Spears but failed. In January 2020, their mother filed a police report against Haddish and Spears; however, nothing came of it.

The lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears filmed John Doe for "Funny or Die" in 2014, yet the video wasn't removed from the site until May 2021. In the clip, both actors can be seen engaging in sexual acts with John Doe dressed only in his underwear.
