The Most Intense Moment on Grand Crew Fay and Anthonys Confrontation wi

Grand Crew, created by Phil Augusta Jackson - who previously collaborated on "Insecure" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

This series follows a group of Black friends who defy stereotypes associated with them, from baker Noah (Echo Kellum), serially dating estate-agent Nicky (Nailed It's Nicole Byer), vegan accountant Anthony (Aaron Jennings), unemployed hustler Sherm (Carl Tart), married sounding-board Wyatt and newcomer Faye - who all show unique characteristics compared to stereotypes often associated with Blacks.

1. Noah + Sherm’s Confrontation

Grand Crew on NBC is yet another testament to Black comedy's viability in network television, having proven its success after just two seasons of production. Fans can't wait for Season 2 to debut!

The series follows a group of friends in Los Angeles who meet regularly at a hangout to talk about life, love and careers. Comprised of baker Noah Koles (Echo Kellum), real estate agent Nicky and vegan accountant Anthony Holmes (Aaron Jennings); unemployed hustler Sherm (Carl Tart); as well as happily married sounding board Wyatt Fields (Justin Cunningham), this dynamic trio makes up this unique ensemble of young Black professionals in LA.

Everyone knows that friendship only grows stronger with time - much like wine itself! They may all experience ups and downs in life, yet still find time for just them at the bar to discuss issues they might be having with one another.

Since its debut, this show has built upon its classic sitcom format with ease, boasting an ensemble cast with natural chemistry and entertaining dialogue that consistently tickles our funny bone.

Some episodes feature lighthearted material while others delve deep into characters' lives - for instance, exploring how Noah communicates with his father is one common challenge among Black men.

Another fantastic episode focused on their shared experiences of police shootings and its effect. Although not overly complex or cerebral in its narrative approach, this show uses its storytelling to highlight Black experiences as they're depicted by media coverage.

It's an extremely entertaining show and worth seeing if you haven't done so already. With an all-Black cast that continues to improve with each episode, this sitcom provides an intriguing window into Black life on network TV that may otherwise be hard to access.

3. Wyatt + Kristen’s Confrontation

Grand Crew may still be developing, but it already looks to be one of NBC's most promising shows on television. Similar to ABC's Abbott Elementary, it finds inspiration in news headlines to illuminate lived experience.

One of the show's finest moments lies in its ability to tackle race relations head on through engaging, thought-provoking narratives. One episode features pie becoming an emotional catalyst between father and son while another explores how characters react to viral police shooting videos.

The series stars an ensemble cast primarily comprised of Black actors, such as Nicole Byer as Nicky, Echo Kellum as Noah, Carl Tart as Sherm, Aaron Jennings as Anthony, Justin Cunningham as Wyatt, and Grasie Mercedes as Fay. All five characters share an affinity for good beer, bartending skills and being ridiculously funny while remaining entirely human beings.

Their friendships develop naturally, from awkward inconvenient bodily functions and political differences to levels of relationships. All this is weaved into the fabric of the show with nods to masculinity therapy that add heft + depth.

As the group navigates their social waters, they're often forced to contend with their own insecurities and fears - whether that means fear of getting older or feeling stuck in an insecure relationship - making their feelings known.

They can be especially susceptible to romantic insecurity; Noah, for instance, desperately wishes he could meet the one to complete him and finds solace on a vineyard tour during a dry month.

Fay (Mercedes) quickly forms a strong relationship with her friends and quickly takes on any role necessary to help the group through life's trials and tribulations. As time progresses, Fay's willingness to adapt quickly as the season goes on is evident - she even offers advice when needed to help the others on the show get through challenging moments in their journey together.

Grand Crew shows great potential as the next great broadcast show, comparable to ABC's Single Parents or CBS' The Unicorn. But its cast and writers will need time to shape it into its best possible version.

4. Noah + Sherm’s Confrontation

Grand Crew, NBC's new sitcom that follows a group of young Black friends as they frequent a Los Angeles wine bar, is one of the standout new shows this year. Created by Phil Augusta Jackson who previously collaborated with Issa Rae and Prentice Penny on shows such as Insecure and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

This show boasts an endearing cast, including Nicole Byer in the role of Nicky, Echo Kellum as Noah, Aaron Jennings as Anthony Carl Tart as Sherm and Justin Cunningham in Wyatt. Their characters struggle daily to navigate life's obstacles.

As an example, Noah has big hopes of meeting and marrying his future bride; Anthony harbors strong romantic feelings towards Fay, yet has yet to pursue things further with her.

And Sherm is full of insecurities, not great at keeping his mouth shut or parting ways with the former partner he had for eight years. It's difficult for him to let go and let go of them both at the same time.

As soon as a group decides to visit a vineyard, the whole group gathers together to plan the outing and discuss past relationships as well as what makes each person special and their chemistry.

As Noah and Sherm become romantically involved again at the wine bar, their relationships become less popular with their coworkers and eventually lead to a major fight when Noah announces to Sherm that he plans on asking her out as his bride-to-be.

Noah eventually asks Sherm to marry him, which caused some internal division amongst the group as his pursued Sherm even after she rejected him. Others became upset with him for continuing their pursuit and felt betrayed by him.

But it turns out she was really trying to win Noah back with her charms; however, this quickly backfired when she told him about her plans to hook up with a Pine Sol woman - something which caused a great deal of drama for a show meant to be light-hearted and humorous.
