Ted Lasso Season 3 Filming Locations
Season three of Ted Lasso finds the team still striving against adversity - and each member's personal troubles. While Ted (Jason Sudeikis) keeps the group together, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is consumed by her love-hate relationship with Rupert, owner of West Ham United.
Ted is fortunate to have such a devoted team of supporters in Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), and the rest of the players. However, things take an even more volatile turn when Nate "the great" (Nick Mohammed) departs for West Ham United.
Fans of Apple TV+ comedy drama Ted Lasso will recognize London as an integral part of its storylines. Ted Lasso, an American college football coach, is hired to manage a local Premier League soccer team in England despite his lack of experience. Through Lasso's positive leadership style and positivity, he helps the club overcome its difficulties.
Jason Sudeikis created and stars as Ted. Other cast members include Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster and Brendan Hunt.
Filming for Ted lasso season 3 began in March in Richmond, London's South-East corner. To commemorate this momentous occasion, its creators have shared some behind-the-scenes photos taken at locations like Brewers Green, Pembroke Villas and Paved Court - where Ted's fictional flat and pub are set.
Another location used for filming in Ted lasso season 3 was West London Film Studios, due to its convenient central London location and state-of-the-art facilities. This studio proved a popular choice due to its versatile nature.
West London Film Studios is a recently constructed facility, completed in 2006. According to its website, it was created "to offer an inspiring environment for creating film, television and commercial content". All production gallery suites come equipped with BTS vision mixers and all necessary equipment necessary for filming.
The studio was mainly used for single-camera dramas, but it also had soundproof rooms where dialogue could be recorded. Furthermore, MADE Entertainment, a charity which produces film and TV projects for marginalised groups, had their headquarters here as well.
In addition to its luxurious studio, another interesting filming location for Ted LaSalle season 3 was SkyEx Community Stadium in Hayes and Yeading, a small town located north London. Here were used for AFC Richmond's training sessions as well as parking lot scenes.
Other filming locations in London included Twickenham Stadium, home to West Ham United FC and Crystal Palace Football Club. It was also utilized for shooting Ted's Greyhounds' historic away match against Everton.
For the third season of ted lasso, the production team chose London as their primary shooting location. Much of the storyline takes place in and around Richmond, a town located southwest London where AFC Richmond is based. In addition to shooting scenes within Richmond itself, they also shot scenes at Twickenham Stadium and various pubs nearby.
Twickenham Stadium, one of the world's iconic football grounds, is a beloved tourist destination and hosts major sporting events like the English Premier League, Champions League and international matches. As such, it was an ideal choice for the show as it provided an authentic-looking stadium complete with a large crowd and fans cheering in support of their team.
As an avid sports fan, I always appreciate seeing TV shows and movies use real locations for filming scenes. So it was exciting to learn that the production team behind ted lasso chose to shoot some scenes at Twickenham Stadium.
Filming took place while the team was prepping for their semi-final FA Cup match against Manchester City, so they needed a stadium that looked authentic and was easily accessible to the film crew.
Lucky for the producers, Twickenham Stadium was the real-life home of AFC Richmond and they had access to its grounds and building during filming. Throughout the season, various scenes were shot there including one where AFC Richmond fans are seen celebrating their win against London rivals Crystal Palace.
The show's production team also shot at Hayes & Yeading United Football Club and Selhurst Park Stadium, two iconic UK landmarks used by professional football teams for years.
One location the production team visited was Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley. This plush ballroom has featured in movies like The Avengers and The Muppets, but it also serves as the site of Rebecca's charity gala which she dreads hosting as owner of AFC Richmond.
If you're a big fan of the series, then you may be delighted to hear that its third season will be filmed in Richmond. This British town is known for its picturesque residential enclaves and numerous football hotspots - making it an obvious choice to film the third installment.
On Monday, Jason Sudeikis, the show's top star, was seen filming scenes for the third season outside his own pub in Richmond. He was joined by co-stars Brendan Hunt and Gus Turner for the shoot.
Ted Lasso may be a comedy series, but it also contains plenty of serious moments. That's why the cast and crew stayed in the area throughout filming.
One of the most iconic filming locations for The Tentacled Lasso is the Richmond War Memorial, situated atop a hill overlooking downtown Richmond and the James River. This shrine stands as a tribute to all Virginians who have died while serving their country in wartime.
In addition to being an important location in the story, the war memorial also provides a serene oasis for some much needed relaxation. There are several areas to explore, including Shrine of Memory - a narrow rectilinear shrine with doors on either end.
Fans of the series must visit this shrine, and even those who don't watch it should visit. It's an ideal spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while taking in some breathtaking views as well.
Another popular filming location near Hayes and Yeading United's stadium, SkyEx Community Stadium. As this stadium attracts soccer enthusiasts from far and wide, it was no surprise they chose to film inside it for the show.
Take photos here or book a tour to see everything that's been filmed there! For soccer enthusiasts, this should definitely be added to your London bucket list!
The Prince's Head Pub in Richmond; Surrey offers hearty meals and carefully-kept ales in an age-old tradition. It's a popular stop for lunch or dinner, plus they host live music events throughout the year.
Ted lasso season 3 often shoots scenes here and you can expect to see many scenes shot here in the show. The pub boasts an attractive outdoor terrace which makes for an ideal summer lunch or dinner.
On the corner of The Green, Golden Court and Paved Court is The Green Pub - if you're a fan of the show it must-visit during your trip to London!
There are a few things that make this an absolute must-do during your visit to Richmond:
First and foremost, this pub boasts an inviting terrace and serves up plenty of classic English pub fare. Their menu offers everything from pies and sandwiches to burgers, salads and more; plus you can order a delicious Sunday roast!
The Prince's Head is an ideal destination for a day out with family and friends. This traditional pub sits right across from Richmond Green, making it perfect for picnicking in the summertime and featuring some outdoor seating as well as a bar area ideal for watching football matches.
From Richmond station, you can access The Prince's Head via multiple train and tube lines. Additionally, this area of London is close to some other interesting places worth exploring while you're here, such as Brewers Green and Pembroke Villas.
Another intriguing fact about The Prince is that it has served as a filming location for several different movies and TV shows. In Mad Men, The Prince served as one of many period New York restaurants and was also featured in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone comedy flick.
Are you a fan of the TV show Ted Lasso? Well, now you can book and pay for three one-night stays in the pub used to film the series on Airbnb this October! All that's required is booking and paying via Airbnb.
Jason Sudeikis' Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso returns for its third season on March 15. Premiering every Wednesday until June 7, this series will have eight episodes.
Fans have praised the series for its tight writing, sharp humor and captivating characters. However, rumors of production issues have cast a cloud over its quality.
Ted Lasso returns for another season filled with love and fun. However, behind his cheery optimism there can be challenges on the coaching staff as well.
Season 3 of The Good Wife explores mental health and divorce-related issues. It can be disheartening to watch Ted's panic attacks persist even as he works to address them. Nate, his assistant coach who struggles with insecurities of his own, often becomes an unhelpful antagonistic figure.
Sharon (Sarah Niles) continues to play an integral role in the season, but there are also several emotionally charged scenes that could have been too heavy or painful had they not been delicately written. This is particularly true of Ted's argument with his wife and son 4,000 miles away that highlights this theme.
On March 15th, the Apple TV+ comedy series TED lasso with Jason Sudeikis returns for its third season! Two years have passed since the Emmy-winning series' second season concluded and fans cannot wait for new episodes!
The Season 3 premiere of Ted (Sudeikis) finds him feeling disillusioned as he struggles to bring his son Henry back home, and is less than inspired in his role as coach. This is in stark contrast to Ted's Season 2 finale where he rallied his team and coaching staff for promotion to the Premier League.
It's also a far cry from the season opener, which was an unmitigated disaster. The opening episode reintroduces all of the show's shortcomings - characters become caricatures, punchlines miss their targets, and plotlines barely advance.
However, the season opener is worth checking out. Set to the Rolling Stones' iconic hit "You Can't Always Get What You Want," this showcases Nate (Nick Mohammed) and Ted's heated coaching rivalry.
After an exciting year-long hiatus, we're finally back with Season 3 of TED lasso - set to premiere tonight on Apple TV Plus (opens in new tab) at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT/7 a.m. GMT.
This episode, entitled "Smells Like Mean Spirit," begins with Ted dropping Henry off at his destination in Kansas. He regrets this decision and feels low; therefore, he calls Dr. Sharon Fieldstone for a therapy session.
She attempts to engage him in conversation about his emotions, but he declines. When she inquires why, he confides that he feels a lack of faith in himself.
Once at work, however, his staff is impressed with his tactical awareness. Rebecca is concerned that he doesn't take Richmond seriously enough even as Rupert begins dating Keeley Jones - her best mate and PR woman.
The team's power is threatened when talented new player Dani Rojas joins the squad. It soon becomes evident that this squad is haunted by ghosts.
Ted Lasso's third season brings the Apple TV+ original series to its peak, providing some exceptional character development and new challenges for its team. Fans are eager for more from these beloved underdogs, and viewers can look forward to seeing how the show continues to develop its unique characters over time.
Despite their optimism and friendly demeanor, the players still struggle with personal issues. Hotshot Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) continues to battle his ego and finds himself at odds with Dani Rojas - a new player who appears to have equal skillset.
Nate Shelley (Nick Mohammed), however, has taken on a new coaching role at West Ham United with support from Rupert Mannion - Rebecca's ex-husband and owner of AFC Richmond. With Nate's growing jealousy leading him to act more irrationally than ever before, Ted may feel even more the brunt of it than ever before.
Ted Lasso stands out among other streaming shows by not shirking from exploring more serious themes. The series tackles anxiety attacks and familial troubles with an engaging, relatable approach while still remaining a comedy with substance.
The third season of TED lasso begins with the ever-cheerful coach in a predicament. He's struggling to get his son back home, experiencing panic attacks, and is surrounded by disapproving teammates and an arrogant press pack.
Despite this, it's impossible not to feel good about the show and its star Jason Sudeikis, who brings his infectiously kind personality and charm to a series that truly entertains viewers. That's because it has consistently been funny, heartwarming and occasionally profound.
But this feeling of hopelessness doesn't last long as Ted Lasso finds himself faced with some difficult choices. After all, his beloved wife and son are still 4,000 miles away, and he can't take former assistant coach Nate (Nick Mohammed) with him.
Luckily, his friends are there to support him during this trying time. Hannah Waddingham (team owner Rebecca Welton) and Juno Temple (PR guru Keeley Jones) will both return for the third season, while Girls' Becky Ann Baker will join as Ted's mom.
On Wednesday, March 15th TED lasso season 3 will premiere on Apple TV+. The trailer doesn't provide much insight as to what this episode will entail; however, The Rolling Stones' song "You Can't Always Get What You Want" serves as a strong hint that there will be ups and downs throughout.
In this episode, Nate (Nick Mohammed) accepts a job with Rupert at West Ham United despite media predictions that they'll finish last in the Premier League. But their inspiring leadership continues to work wonders as they score their first hat-trick of the season.
Meanwhile, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is determined to undermine the team. However, Ted remains unaware of her plans, and after an impulsive attack in which she attempts to blame everyone but herself, Ted eventually forgives her.
The show also addresses toxic masculinity, with Sudeikis emphasizing his character's pursuit of curiosity, empathy and forgiveness. Additionally, Ted's team and viewers alike can draw lessons from Sudeikis' life lessons.
Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) trades his American life for an English one and is shocked to be offered the job coaching the fictional Premier League football team AFC Richmond by its owner Rebecca Welton, as revenge against her unfaithful ex-husband.
Ted's optimism and folksy charm soon win over Rebecca and the rest of the team. Unfortunately, when new players arrive at AFC Richmond, some don't quite fit in and a rival threatens their chances for promotion.
Ted's primary issue is his emotional instability. In Season 3, he's struggling to manage his family back home in the States and also feels the loss of control over former assistant coach Nate (Nick Mohammed).
After a long hiatus, the beloved feel-good series Ted Lasso is returning to Apple TV Plus. It has become an cult favorite with its charming cast and positive outlook.
Season 3 begins on March 15th with new episodes dropping weekly - totalling 12 episodes in all.
Episodes of the popular comedy will begin with Nate (Nick Mohammed) working for Rupert at West Ham United, which should irk Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham). Meanwhile, Beard (Brendan Hunt) and Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) try to keep everyone at AFC Richmond organized.
Team therapist Sharon (Michael Keaton) and journalist Trent Crimm (Jodi Balfour) are set for return appearances as well. However, whether Ted Lasso will have a third season remains to be seen.
After a turbulent season, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and AFC Richmond have finally reached the Premier League. But their underdog status puts them under intense pressure to perform. Thankfully, they have an inspiring support system of Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and Keeley - an invaluable ally both off and on the pitch for Ted.
Ted still struggles with panic attacks despite all this support, which are made worse when he embraces Rebecca and tells her she must go home to get married. Thankfully, therapy Sharon comes into play and helps Ted process his feelings and begin healing from them.
The premiere episode of Season 3 is a promising start, though it reads more like a student spec script than something from an Emmy-winning writer's room. Nonetheless, viewers get their first glimpse at how the show will conclude once this current season concludes.
