Reasons Why Lizzo Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Parton Deserve to Be on People

Lizzo Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Parton Deserve to Be on People There are numerous reasons why Lizzo Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Pardon deserve a spot on People. These women are big, talented, beautiful and hilarious all at the same time - which make for the perfect combination! They are two of the most acclaimed and successful female artists in popular music today. They have revolutionized our perceptions of female artists while revolutionizing how we consume music. 1. They’re both big. People magazine announced its annual "The Beautiful Issue" this Friday (April 28), featuring Lizzo Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Parton among many talented artists such as P!nk, Rihanna, Jennifer Aniston, Sheryl Lee Ralph etc. Lizzo may have made her mark on pop music through sheer talent and her charismatic persona; however, there are numerous reasons why Dolly Parton should also appear on People magazine. Her music remains powerfully relevant today - she remains one of the best female singer-songwriters. Aspiring artists cited among her influences are Joni Mitchell and John Mayer; Alanis Morissette, Arlo Parks and Girl in Red also provide great sources of inspiration. She writes songs inspired by personal events from her life to reflect this. Drivers License was an enormously successful debut album single that helped establish her as a cultural icon; Billboard even named her Woman of the Year 2022! Sour is an emotional pop album which explores various emotions. But Rodrigo's album doesn't plod along - rather than overdoing it with power-pop songs such as "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U," she uses slower songs to give each track her full attention - with stunning results. As she transforms an already heartbreaking song into something bold and seductive, you won't know what to do when the melody kicks in - her voice manages to strike a balance between powerful and soft voices effortlessly. Rare is an artist of her age and experience, let alone one as young as Rodrigo who possesses the rare talent to craft songs that don't feel as though they are directed towards one individual; for instance, her song "Deja Vu" describes a failed relationship that nonetheless brought plenty of love and laughter into its wake. Rodrigo has managed to strike an exquisite balance within her music, and all within an hour-and-a-half performance timeframe - an accomplishment which enabled her to win six awards at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night. 2. They’re both talented. Dolly Parton and Olivia Rodrigo dazzled on the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame red carpet in Los Angeles Saturday morning. Parton, honored for her many hits and contributions to music industry, donned a figure-hugging black dress adorned with silver embellishments while Rodrigo donned black high-heeled platform shoes featuring see-through material at their top for a stylish appearance. Dolly completed her ensemble with black thigh-high stockings, a velvet choker necklace and diamond earrings in black velvet fabric. For an appropriate look she added long lashes, winged eyeliner and coral hued makeup to complete the ensemble. Lizzo shows just how much she has to offer the music industry on her latest release, Special. She holds an unparalleled 25 chart-topping songs record that few others can match while collecting an impressive array of awards over time. Special, her latest LP, seems like it was painstakingly created by herself and Dan Nigro with an awareness of tension and release within its 11 tracks - from its punky opening track, "Driver's License", all the way to contemplative "Deja Vu", it is an album carefully constructed that displays just how capable and talented she has become at this stage of her career. However, what's most striking about her latest album is how genuine and sincere it feels. Even when she draws inspiration from legendary tracks like Beastie Boys' "Grrrls" or Lauryn Hill's "Break Up Twice"; it is done so without feeling forced or self-serving - something rarely seen among new pop stars. As evidence of her talent and confidence in standing up against an often hostile world, this award stands as a testimony to the power and talent behind newcomer Sia. With her lively, funk-influenced pop melodies and memorable phrases already garnering so much praise, Sia has truly proven herself worthy. 3. They’re both beautiful. Deliberation over beauty or art creation often sparks heated discussions; each person can have differing ideas about what constitutes something beautiful or worthwhile, leading to differing interpretations that still end up labeling something as beautiful or worthwhile. Many may cite an art object as the perfect illustration. A dung-basket could, for instance, be considered both beautiful and harmful depending on its context, and this applies even more so to sculpture and painting works. There are instances when works of art or objects can both be beautiful while being worthy enough of deserving and lasting through time. Lizzo's feel-good party track "Good as Hell" stands out in particular. The lyrics are so emotive and its clever lyric structure and pulsing percussion provide a welcome escape during any night out with friends. Lizzo may not have Rodrigo's size or stature, but she makes up for it with her talent and charismatic persona. Lizzo has made waves on the pop music scene through her extraordinary musical abilities; her presence has forever altered its landscape. As her debut album Sour is an incredible body of work. Propelled by tension and release, its eleven tracks offer expert pacing with several songs that leave an indelible mark in your memory. "Brutal," however, may be the album's sexiest moment; incorporating all of the ingredients for an effective heartbreak song--torched guitars, an infectious chorus and an audibly heavy bassline--into one powerful track. As the record progresses, its most notable song has to be slow burning ballad "Happier." It may not have the same lasting impression but should not be missed! 4. They’re both hilarious. Lizzo Olivia Rodrigo has quickly made her mark since the release of her major label debut album Cuz I Love You in 2003, receiving rave reviews in radio, television and online media outlets alike. Since then she has won multiple Grammys, hosted Amazon Prime Video's Watch Out For the Big Grrrls reality show as well as launched size inclusive shapewear collection, becoming an ambassador of body positivity for women everywhere. Special is a vibrant blast of energy and fierce confidence, but at times feels too dependent upon its influences. There are samples from Beastie Boys' "Girls," Lauryn Hill and Mark Ronson collabs with Kool & The Gang "Naked", Coldplay's "Coldplay", and Michael Sembello's "Maniac". Rodrigo uses her powerful voice to deliver an emotive sonic attack throughout this record, with lyrics that showcase her continued fight for what she believes in. Her vocal range perfectly complements her lyrics; we can feel what emotions she's trying to express through them! As in her anthem-esque first single "Driver's License," she defiantly proclaims she will not give up, singing with an endearing and raspy tone that feels both threatening and endearing - stretching out her vocal range throughout. Young artists might find the task daunting, but she takes it on effortlessly. She doesn't depend on the power of her voice to carry her but uses it instead as an aid in delivering lyrics with precision and an air of authority. "Happier" is another standout track, featuring slower yet still dynamic music that depicts a woman trying to understand why her former flame has moved on from her. While less emotionally charged than "Good 4 U," its infectious hook still delivers plenty of excitement. Sour is an epic achievement that transcends genre boundaries while remaining deeply personal, mixing raw heartbreak with bitter wit to produce an experience both entertaining and meaningful. Not only is this an outstanding debut from an emerging pop star but its legacy will surely remain important over time.
