On Tuesday morning, Daniel Hernandez (Killington Beach County Sheriff's Office) was brutally assaulted by multiple individuals at a gym in Florida, according to reports from TMZ.com. Hernandez goes online as 6ix9ine and was targeted by multiple individuals during the attack.

6ix9ine was a rising star in SoundCloud rap, notable for his rainbow-dyed hair, tattoos and unique style of rapping.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was attacked in a sauna at a gym

On Tuesday morning, a group of men attacked a rapper at LA Fitness in Lake Worth, Florida and left him with serious injuries. According to TMZ, Hernandez - real name Daniel Hernandez - was ambushed by three or four people while using the sauna. He was then allegedly beat up, including by one man who punched him in the head and another who kicked him in the stomach.

TMZ has obtained video footage showing the men attacking 6ix9ine inside the gym. The clip depicts two men standing over him as he lies on the bathroom floor, trying to protect his head from blows. They yell at him to "shut the f-k up," while one of them kicks his stomach.

The 26-year-old rapper is well known for his troubled past. In 2019, he was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to racketeering and other offenses; following this, he agreed to testify against his former gangmates on behalf of the government.

At that time, he was labeled a snitch for helping prosecutors take down members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, who faced decades in prison for their crimes.

His trial had an impact on the jury, leading to a verdict against his former gang. Ultimately, he served only two years in jail.

He was released in August 2020, despite threats of retribution from his former gang. Subsequently, he was able to resume his professional career.

Daniel Morgado, a 15-year-old student, told NBC 6 that Sanchez was at the gym with his boyfriend when the fight began. The teenager claims the boyfriend told him to stop looking at other people and that's when Sanchez responded with an instruction to respect him - at which point things got heated.

Morgado reported seeing the boy grab a knife and start to yell. He expressed fear for his friend's safety, so he sought assistance.

He reported that the boy's girlfriend, who was also at the gym, intervened and tried to soothe him. The boyfriend wanted to go back in to investigate what was going on.

But the boy's girlfriend became alarmed and screamed at him, so they eventually fled outside. With the girl leading them away, the boy followed closely behind.

The couple was confronted by multiple police officers. Arrested and taken to Palm Beach County Jail, they faced serious legal repercussions for their actions.

Delmas is being represented by the Palm Beach County Public Defender's Office. Per PD policy, they do not comment on active cases.

At present, several law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incident. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office and Broward County Sheriff's Office are all working on it.
