LeBron James

Los Angeles Lakers have been fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive by competing against the Dallas Mavericks. After being tied for sixth with San Antonio Spurs for most of the season, they have dropped two out of their last three games against Mavericks.

On Sunday, the Lakers were able to secure a victory over the Mavericks with an impressive 111-108 score in Dallas - enough for them to secure the seventh seed in the Western Conference. With seven games left, they are tied with San Antonio for second place and could miss out on qualifying for the play-in tournament if they lose their final game against the Pelicans.

LeBron James has been the undisputed leader of the Lakers this year and a major force on both ends of the court. He leads them in points per game, rebounds per game and assists per contest; furthermore he helps limit Dallas' offense on offense as well.

After a dismal first quarter, the Lakers staged an incredible comeback to win the game. Down 27 points at halftime, they rallied to take control of the game in the third quarter.

With the game on the line, LeBron James needed to stay healthy. He managed to play 36 minutes and score 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists against the Mavericks.

Unfortunately, he suffered a foot injury during the game and was unable to finish out the third quarter. Despite their setback, however, they managed to keep the game close until the final minutes.

James came through in the fourth quarter and hit both a tying shot and go-ahead basket to secure an incredible 111-108 win against Dallas. It was an incredible night for James, proving why he is one of the greatest players in NBA history.

James has been an incredible leader this year and has kept the Lakers in contention for first place in the Western Conference. His average of 29.1 points and 12.2 rebounds per game has kept them in contention for playoff spots as well. James' leadership on and off the court should be remembered when it's time for him to retire - an invaluable asset that should not be forgotten by those around him.

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers in their comeback win against Dallas Mavericks, scoring 30 points and pulling down 15 rebounds in a 111-108 triumph on Sunday. LeBron James also had an impressive game, finishing with 26 points as Los Angeles extended their winning streak to three games.

The Mavericks suffered their first loss of the season by blowing a 27-point lead and falling to 32-30. This poses an immense problem for a team still trying to figure out how to address its remaining roster issues after the trade deadline.

One major reason is the Mavericks' star duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving is struggling. They've combined to go 1-5 in their last five games while shooting an appalling 29.3% from 3-point range.

It's a tough situation for any player, but especially two stars like Doncic and Irving. To stay in the game, they need to stay in sync at all times - something which they aren't currently doing.

Unfortunately, they're not getting much assistance from their defense. Over five games, Dallas Mavericks opponents have shot over 80% from deep - a problem which shows no signs of abating anytime soon.

It appears likely that the Mavericks will continue to have issues with their defense as they attempt to get their young stars in a groove. This is especially true with Tim Hardaway Jr., who was acquired through Kyrie Irving's trade with Dallas.

But the Lakers have a lot of potential, as their new lineup has already begun to shine. This is just another sign that they are coming into their own after trading for several players this offseason, including Davis - an impressive big man.

However, it's essential to remember that this team needs a major makeover if they hope to reach the playoffs. That is why Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka should consider accepting trade offers for Anthony Davis if one can be made.

Jarred Vanderbilt

The Lakers rallied from a 27-point deficit in the first half to defeat the Mavericks 111-108. This victory puts them on a three-game winning streak and improves their record to 29-32 for the season.

On Sunday night, Jarred Vanderbilt played an integral role in the Lakers' victory against the Mavericks. He scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds during the contest, leading his team on a 12-0 run that cut their deficit down to five points late in the third quarter.

In the first half, Dallas shot well beyond the arc, but the Lakers made their offense work well enough to overtake them. They outscored Dallas 31-20 in the third quarter to take a commanding 67-65 advantage.

James made a 3-pointer to give the Lakers an early lead, and also avoided a foul that could've given Dallas the ball with 18.1 seconds left. Lastly, James hit a turnaround fadeaway for the win to seal it for them.

After the Mavericks took a 108-105 lead, the Lakers cut it to two with seconds remaining. They managed to avoid fouling Schroder but his free throw attempt went wide left.

Los Angeles was able to secure a victory on the road and remain within striking distance of the top four teams in the Western Conference. They next travel to Memphis to face off against the Grizzlies on Tuesday night.

In the first half, the Lakers fell behind by 27 points but managed to rally and come from behind with a 21-0 run to secure an impressive road win. Now 4-1 overall, they have now won four games on the road this year.

Bird had a perfect 6-for-6 shooting percentage in the first half, helping his teammates out with some outstanding passes that proved difficult to block. He also had six rebounds and blocked two shots, including a long hook over Jabbar off an excellent Maxwell pass that Bird hit with ease.

At halftime, the Celtics trailed 32-20. However, Boston's inability to consistently get the ball to a rejuvenated Bird led to an LA offense that had struggled for much of the first half. The Celtics shot 14 of 22 from the field (63 percent) compared to just 9 of 20 shooting by LeBron.

Luka Doncic

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers overcame a 27-point deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 111-108 in what proved to be an exciting game. It marked Luka Doncic's first start as a full time starter since being traded from Dallas by the Mavs; and he proved his worth as one of their most productive players on a night otherwise dominated by LeBron James.

After three quarters, the Mavs led 57-51. That changed in the fourth when Doncic took over scoring 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting to help his new teammates take control of the contest. Kyrie Irving finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds for Dallas but didn't do much in that crucial fourth as he did during their first victory with Doncic since being traded from Brooklyn -- over lowly San Antonio.

Doncic's teammates didn't let him off the hook easily, however; Tim Hardaway Jr. and DeAndre Wood each hit two 3-pointers as Dallas shot 9 of 13 in the third to maintain its double-digit lead. A third-quarter run like this proved crucial for the Mavs to overcome after opening up the first half with a 14-point cushion.

As a result, the Mavs experienced an abrupt dip in production during the second half. Irving missed only one of his eight 3-point attempts after intermission while Doncic shot just 1 of 15 from long range for the entire game.

Conversely, the Lakers rallied with an inside game and Thomas Bryant's strong performance to fuel that effort. Acquired through a trade with Charlotte before the deadline, Bryant scored 19 of his 23 points in the first half and collected 13 of his 20 rebounds in the second.

Doncic had another impressive night, despite the loss. He averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds on 12-of-22 shooting, including an impressive 6-of-6 performance from the free throw line. Additionally, he dished out 10 assists as well.

The Lakers took control of the game when Kyrie Irving and Doncic led their team on an inbounds pass that was mishandled by the Mavs, with Doncic swatting it back into frontcourt for a decisive lead. It was an example of both players' maturity on this play that could have significant repercussions for them in the future.
