Kim Mulkey is a mother of two

Kim Mulkey's primary role when not coaching or promoting Baylor women's basketball is mothering her two children. Makenzie, a junior at Baylor, has been an impressive member of their basketball and softball teams while Kramer, an advanced A baseball player for the Palm Beach Cardinals organization in Florida, spends her free time helping out her mommy duties.

Mulkey, a graduate of Hammond High School and Louisiana Tech University, is an ardent Southern girl. She grew up in Tickfaw, Natalbany, and Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish and still considers herself part of her hometown community today.

From kindergarten until her senior year, she never missed a day of school and graduated as valedictorian of her class. As the first person in her family to go off to college, she is an inspiration to those around her.

She has taken Baylor to seven NCAA tournaments, winning three national championships (2005, 2012 and 2019) along the way. As one of basketball's highest paid coaches, her success has earned her a place of honor among other coaches across the nation.

Despite her success, she's unafraid of criticism. Although people have portrayed her as cold-hearted, petty and shallow, she doesn't care because it just means people are paying attention to her.

Mulkey holds both coaching and mothering in high regard; she strives to give her players the best experiences possible and hopes they will go on to be successful in their careers.

She hopes her kids will grow up to be good citizens and emulate her example in everything they do. To this end, she has always made sure her children attend church services, go to the gym regularly and receive an education.

Mulkey's children understand her love and have shown it by being kind and considerate in their own lives. Her oldest son Kramer is an outstanding student and athlete, according to Mulkey.

As a former player and assistant coach, she has extensive knowledge about sports. Additionally, her background in marketing and business gives her invaluable perspective.

In addition to her career as a basketball coach, she has held positions such as advertising executive and public relations specialist. Married since 1987 to college sweetheart Randy Robertson, she continues to enjoy an active personal life.

Mulkey, originally from Louisiana, moved to Waco, Texas in 2003 when she accepted the head coaching job with Baylor women's basketball team. Although she remains close with her family and loves visiting Louisiana for games, Mulkey enjoys traveling back home for celebrations and to reconnect with old friends.

Her family has been incredibly supportive of her career, and she appreciates their kindness. Additionally, the fans who follow along with her on this journey also provide her with inspiration and motivation.
