Jeremy Renner Shares Another Instagram Recovery Update Post-Snowplow Accident

Last month, Jeremy Renner suffered injuries in a snowplow accident in Nevada that required surgery and physical rehabilitation. Recently, the "Hawkeye" actor shared an Instagram update showing progress with his recovery, emphasizing the importance of mental health as well as physical well-being.

What It Takes

For over two weeks, Jeremy Renner has been in and out of the hospital after being injured in a snowplow accident on New Year's Day. Recently, he shared an update on his Instagram Stories in which he expressed that he is recovering well and plans to return to work soon.

On January 1st, Renner was helping a family member clear driveways near his Nevada home when he was struck by a snow plow and suffered blunt chest trauma and over 30 broken bones, according to Samantha Mast his publicist.

After being airlifted from the scene, Renner underwent emergency surgery and spent weeks in intensive care before returning home to continue his recovery. The accident occurred when Renner's snowplow, a Sno-Cat, started sliding and ran over him.

Since then, Renner has been showered with love and support from his Hollywood friends and co-stars. James Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy, sent his best wishes, while colleagues from his Paramount+ show Mayor of Kingstown offered theirs as well.

The actor also revealed that he is doing "whatever it takes" to recover both physically and mentally from the snowplow accident. In an Instagram Story update posted Monday, Renner showed off how he is exercising on a stationary bike with one leg helping with pedaling motions. He captioned the clip with 'Whatever it takes' and shared another image of him reading Mark Nepo's 'Book of Awakening'.

Despite his accident, he still has much to look forward to in life, such as his upcoming Disney+ series Rennervations and film project Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, he shares a nine-year-old daughter with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco; furthermore, he sends out love and gratitude to everyone who has supported him during this trying time.

Renner is continuing his physical rehabilitation at home, posting photos of himself doing leg stretches as part of the rehab process. Additionally, he's working on his mental health by reading Mark Nepo's 'Book of Awakening' in an effort to get his life back on track.

Mental Recovery

On January 1, Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner was hospitalized after suffering "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries" while plowing snow near his Lake Tahoe, Nevada home. He underwent surgery and is currently recovering.

Recovery is a journey that takes many steps and looks different for every individual. It includes regaining control over your symptoms, learning techniques to cope with future stressors and striving to reach your goals and aspirations.

At the beginning of recovery, your healthcare professional can help identify what's preventing you from progressing and offer guidance to make changes. This could involve setting healthy boundaries and minimizing exposure to stressful or anxiety-producing situations. It could also include seeking support from family, friends and other experts who understand what you're going through and can offer helpful suggestions.

Another essential aspect of recovery is sticking with your treatment plan. This may involve seeking support from your mental health provider, attending regular appointments and taking medication as prescribed. It also means creating a secure home environment that promotes healing and long-term recovery.

Your treatment plan will be tailored to fit your individual needs, preferences and life situation. It could include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, group or family counseling, medication evaluation and management, trauma therapy, discharge planning - among many other methods.

Detoxifying can also involve reducing exposure to substances, social activities and places that trigger you, as well as eliminating toxic relationships from your life. Although these changes may be difficult at first, they will eventually help you reach a place where you feel more settled and in control of your mental health.

One of the most crucial elements of recovery is focusing on your own goals, aspirations and dreams. This could involve becoming more involved in your local community and accomplishing things you would otherwise struggle with. It also means looking beyond symptoms to identify strengths and interests; in addition to developing resilience against adversity and stress.

Physical Recovery

Two months after his snowplow accident left him with over 30 broken bones, Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner is making progress in his physical recovery. He recently shared another Instagram recovery update that shows him exercising and showing off his leg.

Jeremy has been dedicating himself to recovery - both physical and mental. To help him through this difficult time, Jeremy has been reading Mark Nepo's "Book of Awakening".

His latest Instagram update featured a video of himself exercising on an exercise bike with one leg attached to what appeared to be a pole-like tool. He explained that he is doing "whatever it takes" to recover from his injuries and has been getting better each day.

He's making great progress, but it will take a lot of time for him to recover from such an extensive injury. Thankfully, his family and fans have been keeping him in their thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

On New Year's Day, Renner was plowing snow at his home in a high-altitude hamlet near Mount Rose, Nevada. His nephew was in the line of the plow and Renner tried to stop it from sliding into him, according to police. But instead, the plow rolled over Renner's leg and calf, severely injuring him.

Renner was fortunate to be alive, but his injuries were serious; he sustained blunt chest trauma from the crash and is in critical but stable condition, according to CNN.

Thankfully, his neighbor was there to apply a tourniquet and provide first aid immediately after the incident. Additionally, he has been actively helping Renner with his rehabilitation at a nearby hospital.

Even with all this, he has made progress in his recovery and we can't wait to see him back at work. The handsome Marvel star has shared updates on his progress since the accident and even gave a shout-out to his fans.

His co-stars have also expressed their hope for a speedy recovery, including Chris Hemsworth and Christopher Evans who both expressed their prayers and encouragement to him. We're so glad to hear that Jeremy is improving - we can't wait until he's back on screen again!

Thank You ICU Team

The 52-year-old Marvel actor remains in the Intensive Care Unit of his hospital but has made steady progress toward recovery since the accident on January 1.

CNN reported that Renner was helping a friend clear snow from their driveway near Mount Rose, Nevada when he was struck by a snowplow. According to Washoe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Steve Balaam in a news release, the crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. PT.

According to the report, Renner was trying to steer a snowcat away from him while standing atop its front end. According to his publicist, Renner suffered "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries."

On Friday, Marvel star shared a video on his Instagram Story in which he joked that it will be his first shower in about a week or so. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to his mother and sister who turned the ICU into a spa day for him.

Since his accident, Renner has not been able to hit the gym but he is receiving physical therapy. In the video below, Renner can be seen holding a leg stimulation device and shaking his calf and thigh while listening to The Beatles' 1968 song "Lady Madonna."

He appears to be reading Mark Nepo's New York Times bestseller The Book of Awakening. In the caption he wrote: "Whatever it takes."

On Monday evening, Renner remains in the ICU in what his publicist describes as a "critical but stable condition." His body continues to make progress toward recovery from injuries sustained during the snowplow incident.

In the days following Renner's accident, many of his fellow Marvel stars have shown their support and sent him well wishes on Twitter.
