After holding leadership positions at Microsoft and Amazon for several years, Risher decided to use his expertise and connections to launch an enterprise that could make an impact on millions of kids worldwide. David Risher has a distinguished career in technology, having served as general manager at Microsoft and Amazon's first SVP of retail. Additionally, he founded Worldreader - a digital book platform to aid children's literacy - which will now be his responsibility as Lyft's president and CEO. To inspire more giving from Donor Advised Funds, Risher launched the #HalfMyDAF campaign last year.

On a sunny Saturday morning, Ava was eager to go to the library for storytime, get her hair done, and picnic in the park with her mother. Unfortunately, things started going awry when the library closed early and a splash from a car wrecked her hairdo! Luckily for Ava and her mom, they decided just to enjoy being together that day; after all, that's what really mattered on Saturday: being together!
