Actress Jane Fonda has made a name for herself in Hollywood, but her most important role has been that of mother. Through her marriages to director Roger Vadim, activist Tom Hayden, and CNN founder Ted Turner she has three children from previous relationships.

When Fonda's first daughter Vanessa Vadim was born, Fonda hoped she would make an excellent mom. But over time, Fonda began regretting her parenting choices.

Vanessa Vadim

Jane Fonda is a celebrated actress in both film and theater, winning multiple Academy Awards and receiving an AFI Life Achievement Award. But what truly drives Jane fonda most than all those accolades is her family - something more precious to her than any accolade in the world.

Jane Fonda's marriage to French film director Roger Vadim ended in divorce, as Patricia Bosworth's acclaimed biography Jane Fonda: The Private Life of a Public Woman details. According to Bosworth, Vadim allegedly used sexual coercion against Fonda while disguising it as ethical polyamory in order to gain satisfaction and control over her.

In 1973, Fonda and Tom Hayden separated. Days after their divorce, Fonda fell in love again with activist Tom Hayden - whom she wed three days after their final split.

When dealing with regret, the first step is to identify what's causing the issue. Sometimes, it could simply be a sense of regret for events that have already transpired or decisions you made in the past; other times, however, there may be deeper underlying problems that require attention and resolution.

Therefore, seeking professional help for such issues is highly recommended. This could be done through a licensed therapist or counselor with training in counseling couples.

Another essential step in the process is problem-solving. By doing so, you can identify what caused your regret and take measures to prevent it from reoccurring in the future.

If you find yourself wishing for more time to do what you enjoy or having more money for yourself, it may be because your current life situation prevents those activities. Similarly, if you feel inadequate as a parent it could be because you lack confidence in your abilities.

Mothers must ensure that they spend as much quality time with their kids as possible. Not only will this encourage them to develop an inner strength, but it will also give them insight into the world around them.

Troy Garity

Jane Fonda is an actress, writer, political activist and former fashion model who has experienced many hardships throughout her life. She is passionate about gender equality, environmental rights and more; in addition to acting in films that reflect her personal life experiences.

At the age of 12, her mother tragically committed suicide. Henry Fonda had falsely told her and her siblings it had been a heart attack, but when she discovered the truth, she was devastated with both of her parents and went through an intense period of grief.

Fonda eventually obtained her mother's medical records, and through them she was able to comprehend and forgive her for the mistake she had made. It transpired that her mother was bipolar and had experienced sexual abuse at the tender age of eight.

Eventually, she accepted her mother for who she was and grew to love her more deeply. Even after her passing away, she took care of all of her mother's affairs.

After becoming a mother herself, Fonda realized the extent of her past guilt. Determined to make amends, Fonda worked hard to raise her children with integrity and respect.

After divorcing her first husband, Roger Vadim, she wed Tom Hayden in 1973 and they had two children together. Mary Luana Williams followed in her father's footsteps as a social activist.

Her son, Troy Garity, has also pursued an acting career and is best known for his roles in the Barbershop series and Soldier's Girl. An avid sports enthusiast, Troy enjoys adventure sports like skateboarding and surfing - which he shares with his followers on Instagram.

His IMDb profile states he has gained notoriety for his acting work. His impressive list of credits includes several TV shows and films. Furthermore, he maintains a large social media following.

She regrets not spending enough time with her children and being available when they needed her most. Additionally, she is an accomplished cook who delights in creating delicious meals for others to enjoy.

Mary Luana Williams

Jane Fonda has had an enviable career, appearing in films like Grace and Frankie and TV shows like The Good Wife. However, the star has also struggled with personal issues over the years.

One of the things she had to deal with was her mother's mental illness. She suffered from an debilitating form of bipolar disorder, which Fonda discusses in this week's issue, out Friday.

Growing up, Fonda had to deal with her parents' divorce. While her mother tried to provide for her and her siblings, she says she often mistreated them. Additionally, Fonda became an alcoholic which further compounded their problems.

Williams' oldest sister eventually turned to prostitution and her mother ended up in prison. Williams was sent to Laurel Springs Children's Camp run by Fonda.

Williams recounts in her memoir, The Lost Daughter, how Fonda's support of her has transformed her life. Additionally, she addresses her relationship with her biological family - whom she hasn't seen since leaving them behind to live with Fonda - which continues to deepen with each passing year.

As an adult, Williams has blossomed into a social activist and author. She has penned multiple books about her life experiences and currently collaborates with Sudanese Lost Boys on projects.

She has three children: two born naturally during each of her marriages and one adopted with her second husband. Discover more about their lives below, including how they became involved with Fonda's activism.

Jane Vadim's first child, Vanessa Vadim, was born in September 1968. She was the offspring of her first husband, French director Roger Vadim.

After her marriage to Vadim, Fonda became more interested in politics. Previously only a film star, she wanted to make a difference in the world.

She also wanted to be a better mother, not allowing her children to endure the same traumas that had affected her.

Fonda's mother physically and verbally abused her when she was a young child, compounding an already difficult-to-manage situation. Additionally, Fonda struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction which compounded matters further.

Fonda has found joy and success despite her many hardships, and has even inspired her grandchildren to join in the protests for environmental causes. Despite all odds, Fonda continues to put out a positive energy into everything she does - from environmental causes to acting roles.

Henry Fonda

Henry Fonda was born in 1905 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Christian Scientist parents and raised with strict discipline. As a shy boy who avoided girls at all costs, Henry chose to pursue acting when he was 20 years old.

He began acting in a play at Omaha Community Hall and quickly made a name for himself as an actor. Additionally, he worked at a local radio station and had several small roles on television shows.

After his breakthrough role as Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, Fonda made the move to Broadway and began playing leading roles in musicals and plays. His turn as Mister Roberts on Broadway proved particularly successful; earning him a Tony Award for his performance.

His career included acting in over 106 films and television programs. He earned critical acclaim for his roles in 12 Angry Men, The Ox-Bow Incident, and The Longest Day. Nominated for an Academy Award in 1940 for The Grapes of Wrath, Fonda went on to win it two more times: 1981 with On Golden Pond.

Fonda was renowned for his passion and strong character. He often played men of strong conviction, yet struggled to express emotion himself; this sometimes caused conflict within his family unit. Married five times, Fonda had three children with two of his wives.

Jane Fonda's daughter Vanessa Vadim is a filmmaker who was motivated by her dad to pursue filmmaking. Additionally, Vanessa has become an outspoken activist on climate change issues and been arrested several times for her efforts.

Jane Fonda is an amazing mother, but regrets not having enough time for her children. Her activism was a huge part of who she was, so it wasn't possible for her to spend as much quality time with them as she would have liked.

Jane Fonda recently revealed that her mother, socialite Frances Ford Seymour, died by suicide when she was 12. The actress said she discovered her mother's eating disorder after reading her medical records and reflecting on how it affected her childhood.
