I bought a 400000 Ferrari just to destroy it

In a tragic tale that will likely be repeated by many, a Swiss millionaire had his brattiest son destroy his $400,000 Ferrari to get insurance money for an even better model. He wanted something newer and faster but wasn't sure his dad would cover it.

He hired two people to do it for him, and they burned his car in front of security cameras. It's a tragic tale that should serve as an example to all of us.

It’s a Ferrari

Ferrari is an Italian luxury sports car brand manufactured by FIAT. Established by Enzo Ferrari in 1939, the company has since blossomed into one of the largest car manufacturers globally.

Many people associate Ferrari with its iconic horse logo. This majestic beast first featured as part of Francesco Baracca's fighter plane during World War I and later adopted by Ferrari as their iconic symbol defining their brand ever since.

In 1940, Auto Avio Costruzioni in Modena, Italy built the first Ferrari: the Tipo 815. After WWII, however, the factory was relocated to Maranello and renamed Ferrari.

Over the years, Ferrari has created an extensive array of vehicles including race cars and roadsters. The company is renowned for producing highly engineered sports cars at top market prices that boast exquisite design.

At Mercedes-Benz, they pay great attention to every detail that goes into creating a car - from handcrafted forged wheels and leather interiors to carbon fiber body panels. Like few other automobile brands, the company takes great pride in creating an exclusive piece of automotive art with each car they build.

Ferrari sports cars can be quite pricey, but there are also more budget-conscious options. The Ferrari F430 Spider, for instance, retails at around $40,000 and produces 340 horsepower.

Italian company Ferrari also produces some hybrid models, such as the F430 Hybrid that runs on ethanol. Furthermore, Ferrari has become a participant in Formula One and has won multiple races recently.

The most costly and luxurious Ferrari is the Daytona SP3, priced at over $2 million with already 599 examples sold worldwide.

This V12 supercar is one of the last remaining and it's not for everyone to drive. Its majestic presence gives its owner a feeling like they're in the presence of an ancient Greek god.

It appears the owner of this Ferrari was too confident in his new vehicle to do a simple mistake: leaving it on neutral in Lake Garda, northern Italy. While there's no explanation why this happened, it should have been done more carefully.

It’s a car

A young YouTuber with an affinity for wrecking cars recently purchased a $400000 Ferrari with the purpose of wrecking it. While this purchase seemed outlandish, it's not unheard-of in today's influencer-driven online world.

Maranello and purists alike will be outraged by this car's owner who has decided to put it through some rigorous durability tests on an unofficial gravel track.

It appears the car is not an authentic Italian sportscar but instead one of three or four replicas built for the 1986 classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off, according to reports. This particular model is a 1985 Modena Spider.

Given that one of the most iconic scenes in the movie sees a car shoot through a window and plummet several stories before colliding, it is no surprise why replicas were used.

According to Car & Driver magazine, California-based Modena Design & Development created this replica which sold at auction in 2020 for $17 million.

Another famous car remade from a crashed supercar is the black 1991 Ferrari F40 that was rebuilt by the Gas Monkey Garage crew and some highly experienced Ferrari experts in an episode of Fast N' Loud. Now worth $760,000, that was what Richard Rawlings and Dennis Collins paid for it back in 2013.

Deadline reports that Paramount has approved a spinoff movie Sam and Victor's Day, which follows two parking garage valets who go on an exhilarating joyride in the original film.

Matthew Broderick and Ferris Bueller, the original film's lead actor, will star in the new movie adaptation. Additionally, it will showcase an iconic Ferrari driven by Bueller and his best friend in the original film.

Notably, this version of the F8 Tributo does not sport the iconic prancing horse badge as its predecessor; suggesting that its new owner has likely taken it out for some thorough dirtiness and durability testing. We don't know if this will buck Ferrari's tradition for overly protective vehicles they make, but it certainly gives us something to think about.

While we don't expect this young YouTuber to stop wrecking his car, we do hope he receives some sort of warning from Maranello regarding this questionable purchase.

It’s a machine

My Ferrari 458 Spider was the car that got me through some of my toughest times, which I purchased back in 2004 for nearly $400000 - an astronomically high price for any vehicle, especially one as rare and valuable as a Ferrari 458 Spider. But it proved to be worth every penny, providing me with peace of mind during those difficult times.

But the reason I wanted to own the car wasn't just because it looked amazing - it was because I really, really liked it. After 30 years of driving cars, when I saw that this particular model was up for sale, I knew that having my own automobile would be an amazing experience.

After investing a considerable amount of money, I finally took the plunge and purchased my dream car. Although it cost more than expected, I knew this was the car of my dreams and knew that if it wasn't available anywhere else, then it would be mine.

So I began working on the car, and within six months had it ready for display in my garage to show off to friends and family. It was a lot of work but also immensely fun; I felt like this project could truly transform my life.

After going through a major financial crisis, I needed fast cash to pay off my debts and prove to the world that I was an honest business man who cared about people and the environment. By selling my business, it not only proved successful for me but also demonstrated to others that I am capable of taking care of those around me.

What I never expected was for West Midlands Police to crush my Ferrari with their bulldozer, as this UK police force specializes in destructing expensive cars. The video was uploaded online by WhistlinDiesel - a YouTuber known for performing extreme automotive stunts.

I was devastated to discover my car had been totaled when I returned home. Watching the video of what transpired made me realize how foolish I had been in purchasing it in the first place; therefore, I am suing West Midlands Police for uploading the video.

It’s a beast

The Ferrari is the epitome of speed, acceleration and handling. It reaches 100km/h in 3.4 seconds, while reaching its top speed of 325km/h. Additionally, it features rear-hinged doors and four seats - making it unique among other cars in its class.

The 458 Italia boasts one of the greatest engines in motoring history - 562 horsepower at 9000 rpm. Plus, its unique rear-hinge door opens to reveal both a boot and tailgate, allowing up to five passengers to be accommodated comfortably.

At the time, I was certain it was the finest car in existence. As an avid Ferrari fan, I wanted to own something that could take me around the globe in style and comfort.

However, I wasn't sure which car would make the most sense for me, so I did some research. To my delight, there are plenty of great vehicles out there - some that cost over $400,000.

That is when I discovered a car I never would've considered buying had it not been for some research and an extra generous friend who offered to contribute some funds. It turned out to be an extravagant $400000 Ferrari!

Now this car is up for sale - and you could own it! For less money than a new Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentagya V8 or Aston Martin DBX, you can own this amazing machine and make the most of it. It's truly one that you'll want to drive yourself, which can't be said about many cars on the market today.
