ContinueGloria Trevi is one of those performers in the entertainment industry who continues to tour with a personal style and flair, creating memorable performances along the way. Monterrey native Isla Divina's "Isla Divina" World Tour showcases a new side to her with rhythmic-urban beats and flamenco undertones; as well as continuing to embrace her rockera flair. "Se Equivoco" Gloria Trevi is one of the most innovative and important Latin pop musicians to emerge during the late 20th century, notable for her groundbreaking lyrics that challenge masculinity, as well as captivating stage shows. A pioneer in using music to address social issues, Trevi also made significant humanitarian contributions through music. Gloria Trevi has always been fearless when it comes to confronting real-life topics that resonate with her audience, as evidenced in "Se Equivoco", an emotive pop track combining Spanish guitar melodies with heartbreaking lyrics about two women whom a man finds himself torn between and ultimately chooses the wrong one despite knowing he made the wrong choice and being left feeling abandoned and alone as a result of making that wrong choice once more. She reminds her fans not to take anything for granted and to cherish every little aspect of their lives, as tomorrow may bring with it more changes. Additionally, she advises them that no matter what may arise they should always love themselves and pursue their goals and never give up hope! Trevi recorded her song at her Monterrey home studio and collaborated on it with Spaniard Monica Naranjo to co-write it together; it quickly became a smash hit both in Mexico and the U.S. It even debuted at number one on Top Latin Albums chart - making history by being the first collaborative date ever to do so! Not only was this record an enormous chart success; its music also hit arenas nationwide as well as Latin America. Trevi is currently at the peak of her career, having sold over 30 million albums and receiving a lifetime achievement award from Premio Lo Nuestro. Acts nearly half her age have publicly given their respect and a bio-series is set to chronicle her chaotic life. Even after suffering through scandal that would have rendered most acts incapable of continuing, Trevi persevered and is still going strong today. "Demasiado Fragiles" Gloria Trevi is one of the most revolutionary and integral artists to emerge from Latin mainstream music at the end of 20th century. As an influential singer-songwriter-dancer-actress-TV host from Mexico she is best known for feminist lyrics that challenge male privilege; powerful stage shows that has cemented her place among top female touring artists; 12 studio albums were released during her time, most recently 2019's Diosa de la Noche (The Goddess of Nighttime). Trevi is both a multi-platinum artist and highly esteemed fashion icon, serving as brand ambassadors for Paco Rabanne and Tom Ford products and appearing at major red carpet events such as Oscars or Golden Globes. Reimagining of "Nos Volvimos Loco" video featuring Puerto Rican reggaetonero Guaynaa made headlines recently, capturing eye-catching haute couture looks in Miami's Watsco Center in Design District and showing the two singers seductively prance around theatre wearing high heels and flashy outfits. Their on-camera chemistry was apparent, with seductive dancing around and prances. As the song's lyrics broach the subject of broken relationships, Trevi's powerful vocals soar to new heights of excellence. She perfectly captures the heartbreak through her emotive alto voice as well as conveying her protagonist's passion in ways both moving and heartrending. Trevi found inspiration for her lyrics from personal experiences such as depression, the death of her husband, and custody battles over their children. However, despite these challenges she remains one of Latin music's most popular performers today. Trevi has long used her platform to advocate for women's rights and address various social issues, from bullying and domestic violence to immigration. In her most recent song, "Rise Up!" is an encouraging call to arms for people to stand up and fight for what they believe in - timely in light of an increasingly turbulent political landscape and growing inequality. "Grande" Gloria Trevi continues to reinvent herself even in her later years. The multi-platinum veteran artist still creates hit albums while expanding her artistic horizons to include acting and directing. Gloria has never been afraid to explore different genres or explore topics close to her heart - her dedication to causes like homeless children, women who give birth in prison and LGBTQ+ members earned her the Premio Compromiso award at this year's Heat Latin Music Awards, while she may direct a movie or bio series based around her chaotic life. At times flamboyant and often colorful, multi-platinum musician Christina Aguilera has never shied away from embracing the showmanship that defines her career and put on an incredible performance. Isla Divina is no different; viewers are taken on a magical island journey where love reigns supreme and hate is nonexistent - complete with costumes to match its theme! Gloria Trevi mesmerized audiences at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood with her antics. She opened the show with an energetic dance number in which she stripped down to reveal a tight glittery gold leotard, before taking off her shoes to reveal thigh-high silver boots as she wiggled and whirled for the song "Eso No Me Conoce". Trevi brought up some of the recent challenges facing humanity since the Covid-19 pandemic began, such as staying strong despite all of life's troubles; she stressed the significance of family and love as key components to happiness. She concluded her energetic opening with the power ballad "No Quieras Lastimarme", which received enthusiastic audience participation. While singing, an animated moon rose behind her while she stretched her legs. For her next outfit change she chose a purple glittery minidress with tights and knee high silver boots. "Nos Volvimos Loco" Gloria Trevi was one of the most prolific and versatile Latin musical artists to emerge during the late 20th century. Known for her feminist sociopolitical lyrics that challenge machismo and entertaining stage shows, as well as being an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and actress; Gloria is one of Latin music's premier female icons. Trevi continues to innovate with each album she releases, and Isla Divina was no different. Debuting at number one on charts in Mexico, the U.S. and other countries. The first single "El se equivoco", featuring Spanish singer Monica Naranjo has already garnered over 3.5 million YouTube views! The diva's new production, accompanied by high-concept visuals, takes listeners on an imaginary island journey. The 13-song LP features many duets with well-known musicians like Lele Pons and Puerto Rican rapper Guayna. Trevi shines solo in songs such as the uplifting "Que Hago Aqui" and "Todos Me Miran." Her album also includes classic hits like "Demasiado Fragiles" and "Grande". Diosa de la Noche was released as a concert film in 2015 and this album serves as the ideal follow up. Nearly two decades ago, Trevi was cleared of charges that she lured minors into an illegal sexual ring. However, a new lawsuit brings back those claims against her and former producer Sergio Andrade. An anonymous Doe filed this lawsuit seeking damages that could reach hundreds of millions of dollars. Though this lawsuit has yet to be verified, its claims are supported by evidence such as concert and music video footage from the 1990s. Furthermore, its filing came shortly before an "open window" that temporarily lifted child-sex assault statute of limitations laws. Trevi is set for an exciting year in music. She will launch her Isla Divina world tour on Aug 29 and play 40+ U.S. dates - including San Diego's Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl on Sept 30 - before moving on to charity work supporting homeless children and mothers who give birth in prison, biographical TV series production, and creating new albums.
