Exploring Nick Cannon's Thoughts on Balancing Parenthood and Career
Nick Cannon shares four children under two with two different women: Moroccan and Monroe are 10-year-old twins from his relationship with ex Mariah Carey; Golden "Sagon," Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; Zillion and Zion with Abby De La Rosa as well as Beautiful Zeppelin from Abby De La Rosa as well as Zen with Alyssa Scott - four young ones all under two years old! 2. Take your shoes off Parenthood and work can be a difficult combination to balance, especially for non-actors who make their living filming movies with pantsless actors. One way you can simplify it all is to minimize work's intrusion into your home by switching off notifications, taking off shoes as soon as you step inside, and giving family your undivided attention when together. Nick Cannon is an innovative entertainer renowned for his multiple talents as an actor, rapper, singer, comedian and television host. Beginning his career at an early age on Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That in 1995 as a warm-up act before becoming cast members by 1998; then hosting and creating his own sketch comedy game show Wild 'N Out for 18 seasons on MTV; Cannon managed his career successfully while also continuing to perform, such as appearing in Monster House (2006), Jump Shot (2004) and costarring with Lindsay Lohan in Blind Date (an ongoing project). Additionally, Cannon took advantage of being sponsored by Milton Bradley to embark on a multi-city comedy tour sponsored by them. Cannon has also embarked on a music career and established his own record label, Ncredible Entertainment. He released his debut mixtape in 1999 followed by his self-titled debut album released through Jive Records later that same year - both projects featuring lyrics written entirely by Cannon himself as well as co-producing four tracks on each record. Cannon and Mariah Carey divorced two years later and since then Cannon has fathered 11 more children through other relationships, including twins with Abby De La Rosa and son and daughter with model Alyssa Scott. 3. Plan ahead Many individuals who have careers can get caught up in their business and its success, often forgetting to put family first. Juggling both can be challenging but with proper planning it is possible. Making a list of all of your responsibilities and prioritizing what's most essential. After doing that, determine how best to use your time efficiently for all of these tasks - such as scheduling time blocks for when your children are asleep or at school so you can complete essential projects during that period of time. Set clear expectations with your boss and coworkers regarding when you should leave work at a set time each day or not check your work email after hours, to avoid conflicts and ensure everyone knows exactly what's expected of them. Doing this ahead of time will allow you to plan without guilt while making the most out of every second of time you have available to you - using these tips you're sure to find the ideal balance between career and parenting in no time at all! 4. Take care of yourself Parenthood can be both challenging and rewarding if managed well, yet some sacrifices must be made in order to create a sustainable balance in your lifestyle. You should strive to eliminate any feelings of guilt regarding work and make the most of the time you have with your children; plan ahead by setting goals, tracking progress towards them; seek assistance from loved ones when overworking or underachieving as a parent; finally enlist the assistance of loved ones if you feel yourself overworking or underachieving as a parent. Nick Cannon has long shown an affinity for children. To date, he has 11 of them -- twins Monroe and Moroccan from his former relationship with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon (5), Powerful Queen (2), Rise Messiah (4) and twin Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (18 months), all born to Brittany Bell; Legendary Love (6), Bre Tiesi (3), Onyx Ice Cole (3) all from different women in his life. Cannon has an overwhelming array of responsibilities, so it is no surprise he struggles with balance issues. In fact, he has admitted feeling "guilt" over spending too much time away from his children. Cannon also makes efforts to raise awareness for his autoimmune condition called Lupus; appearing in numerous YouTube videos about his journey with this condition as well as acting as Grand Marshal at Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus Now event is part of that initiative. Cannon shared his procreative odyssey during an appearance on Howard Stern Show last month, in which he admitted his non-monogamy and desire for children with several women, without necessarily needing monogamy as an arrangement. Yet if any more children were needed in his future it would need to be with an "amazing" woman; though so far he hasn't found her! However, being a father has proven extremely rewarding for Cannon. On Easter he posted an Instagram photo showing all his children together!
