At Rey Mysterio's induction ceremony at the WWE Hall of Fame, Dominik Mysterio and his Judgment Day partners Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest chose not to participate.

It's an unseemly display of disrespect that won't sit well with fans who have been following this father-son rivalry for a year. The rivalry will continue at WrestleMania 39, where Dominik hopes to take the win from his dad.

Before WrestleMania 39, one of wrestling's greatest family feuds took a drastic turn for the worse. Before Rey Mysterio could even begin his Hall of Fame induction speech, his son Dominik Mysterio and partners Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest turned their backs on their father before he could begin speaking.

On Friday night, Rey Mysterio was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during a ceremony following SmackDown. He was joined by Stacy Keibler, Andy Kaufman, The Great Muta and Tim White as well as his family members - wife and daughter - at this historic event.

Rey Mysterio's induction had an electrifying response from the crowd. Many former and current WWE stars gave him a standing ovation during his introduction.

Rey Mysterio's mention of late, legendary luchador Eddie Guerrero drew a thunderous response from the audience. It was an empathetic moment that held everyone spellbound throughout the entire arena.

However, the show took an unexpected turn when Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio went head-to-head in one of the most anticipated matches of 2019. Their feud began after Dominik turned on his father at Clash at the Castle last September and has only grown more intense ever since.

However, as soon as the main event was about to commence, Dominik Mysterio and his Judgment day partners turned away from their father in a show of disrespect. It was an extremely inconsiderate act by the hard-Prison Dom to his dad.

Rey Mysterio wanted his son Dominik by his side for the honor, but Dominik refused to break kayfabe even during the biggest night of his career - leaving Rey furious.

Dominik has repeatedly demonstrated his lack of respect for his father, including during the past week during his son's Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Dominik appeared completely disinterested as he made his way towards the ring to pay his respects to his dad.

At their induction ceremony, Rey Mysterio and his wife were embraced by several former and current WWE superstars who gave them a thundering ovation. Joining them were Triple H, Kurt Angle and Booker T.

Once the ceremony had concluded, Rey Mysterio stepped into the ring to deliver his induction speech. He was joined by his wife and best friend who also followed suit, giving him a standing ovation as they all entered.

On Monday night, The Judgment Day had an impressive performance on Raw, defeating all four teams in their "Tag Team Turmoil" match. But their journey is not over yet; the group still has some formidable rivals to overcome such as AJ Styles and Edge.

After some reflection, Rey Mysterio makes his way down the ramp and confronts Edge at ringside. He acknowledges his son's mistake, but still has time to make things right.

Fans chant "who's your daddy?" while Rey attempts to persuade Edge that Dominik is no longer his son, but Edge won't listen. He goes on to state that he is old enough for drinking, driving and entering the ring - an age appropriate statement given his past actions.

Edge grows increasingly frustrated as Dominik refuses to get in the ring with him, yet Rhea Ripley shows up instead. Although she tells him he is no longer her baby boy, she still comes out to support and assist him.

That means making an immediate impact and creating an unbeatable faction for faces like Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins or Drew McIntyre to feud against at WrestleMania.

In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, Finn Balor praised Rey Mysterio's son Dominik Mysterio for his impressive journey so far in WWE. The young superstar has truly astounded everyone with his raw talent - including fans! He already won a match against AJ Styles and scored his biggest singles win at Crown Jewel before turning heel against Rey Mysterio and Edge at Clash at the Castle.

He vows to never fight his own son at WrestleMania, regardless of what Dominik Mysterio thinks. Eventually, Dominik Mysterio decides to challenge Rey Mysterio to a WrestleMania match and the crowd chants "yes!"

As Dominik Mysterio walks to the back, Rey Mysterio states that he won't fight his son at WrestleMania even though he still loves and supports him, Rey does not wish for any confrontation between them.

Dominik Mysterio attempts to persuade Rey Mysterio to let him compete at WrestleMania by offering to be his tag team partner with The Judgment Day, but Rey Mysterio says he has nothing valuable enough and won't challenge his son at WrestleMania.

After the bell rings, Dominik Mysterio gets into a physical altercation with Gargano and ends up getting kicked in the head. Despite being warned by the referee, Dominik tags in Damian Priest who quickly dominates Gargano in the corner as fans cheer in support.
