Demi Lovato's music video for "Still Alive From the Original Motion Picture Scream VI" has just premiered - and it's an actual scream!
On February 28th, Demi Lovato finally unveiled the video for her new single. It is an atmospheric rock track that builds upon the grungy pop-punk sound she adopted on her recent album Holy Fvck.
This track was co-written with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and features on the Scream VI soundtrack. It's an anthem for all those iconic "final girl" characters that Scream movies are known for.
Demi and her crew arrive at a hotel and give an invitation to the clerk that reads, "Do you like scary movies?" He takes them to what appears to be screening of Scream VI, whereupon, someone wearing Ghostface mask starts terrorizing them.
Much like the final girl in Scream, Demi puts up a brave fight and kicks some butt when the evil villain attacks her. Eventually she grabs his knife and delivers an unforgettable punch.
Scream is a beloved horror franchise that's been running for two decades and produced four sequels. With its macabre plotlines and unforgettable characters, Scream has become one of the most successful movie series ever.
Scream VI is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda Tony Revolori Josh Segarra Henry Czerny and Samara Weaving.
Deadline reports the film follows four Woodsboro survivors (played by Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy-Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega) as they flee New York City in pursuit of freedom from Ghostface.
However, the evil villain seems determined not to go down without a fight and has them all in his sights. In the latest music video for her "Still Alive" single, Demi and her friends attend a private screening of Scream VI before being ambushed by an unseen villain.
Scream VI is set for release on March 10, and its marketing campaign has us excited. From Ghostface appearing in live cams all around town to a charming New York-themed poster, the franchise has been building anticipation for its latest installment.
Exciting new music video for Demi Lovato's "Still Alive From the Original Motion Picture Scream VI" adds to excitement as it was co-written by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Laura Veltz and premiered on Friday, March 2. Featuring cameo appearances from Ghostface himself as well as Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas, it feels like an ideal marketing piece for the upcoming movie release.
In the music video, Lovato arrives at a hotel with her friends to watch Scream VI. But, when an unseen hotel attendant hands her an invitation that could prove fatal, it's up to Lovato and her companions to stay alive before it's too late.
Not only that, the video features an epic battle against Ghostface - who stars alongside Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera (whose characters Tara and Sam Carpenter star in last year's Scream 6), as well as Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda).
The Scream film series has always been known for producing stellar albums, and the Scream VI music video continues this tradition by bringing together some of its most captivating elements in a captivating manner. No doubt, "Still Alive From the Original Movie Scream VI" music video should be watched by any true fan of this iconic franchise!
Demi Lovato has long been one of the most beloved singers on the music scene, and she's back with her signature pop-rock sound with her latest single "Still Alive From the Original Motion Picture Scream VI." It's no surprise that Demi has achieved such success despite having an extremely busy schedule.
This marks Lovato's first song written for a movie since her 2016 hit Holy Fvck, which peaked at #1 on multiple Billboard charts and made her the top female artist on several of them. The track is co-written with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park who also produced the video.
On Friday, the trailer for the new song released. It's an impressive visual that serves as the ideal marketing vehicle for the Scream series. The clip includes clips from Scream VI as well as images of Demi Lovato and her friends watching the film in theaters.
On March 10, Jenna Ortega's Tara, Jasmin Savoy Brown's Mindy, Melissa Barrera's Sam and Mason Gooding's Chad leave Woodsboro for New York City. Unfortunately, Ghostface follows them there too, leading them to be stalked by an unseen killer.
As a result, the cast members must go into hiding at a secret hotel to escape Ghostface's deadly attacks. Despite its apparent serenity, their renewed romance could put them at serious risk.
Although the trailer for Still Alive may have been the biggest tease yet, there have been other hints about Scream VI's upcoming horror film. Last month, Paramount Pictures released character posters featuring potential victims and killers alike.
The new "Still Alive" trailer is the perfect way to get fans pumped for Scream VI and serves as an introduction to Lovato's upcoming album, co-written with Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park. It's a fun and energetic track that is sure to be a hit among horror enthusiasts.
Demi Lovato's music video for "Still Alive From the Original Motion Picture Scream VI" is finally here and it serves as an ideal introduction to her new single. The Disney Channel star's high energy track will get your blood pumping, plus it includes some creepy Ghostface-themed terror!
As previously reported, the upcoming Scream VI, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Radio Silence), follows the survivors of Woodsboro as they relocate to New York City in an effort to escape Ghostface's grasp. Starring Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega and Tara Carpenter as they continue their fight with Ghostface.
On March 10, 2022, Scream VI will be released and marked the first movie directed by someone other than Wes Craven since 1998. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick wrote the script for this installment as well.
In addition to returning cast members such as Hayden Panettiere, Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving, the film will introduce several new characters. Scream 4's Kirby Reed returns for another season as Gale Weathers' ghost hunter who has been haunting her since Scream 3.
Though David Arquette's character of Deputy Dwight "Dewey" Riley did not appear in Scream VI, that doesn't guarantee his return in a future installment of the series. While his character was killed off in Scream 5, Gale Weathers was able to remain in love with him throughout the duration of the movie and their relationship has endured several other Scream movies - so it could still be possible for him to return someday.
The Scream series has always had a strong focus on female protagonists, and this year's Scream 2022 did an outstanding job of portraying Woodsboro's women realistically. Though some were portrayed as murderers in the film, they managed to maintain their relationships and even ended up becoming partners in real life. No doubt the latest installment will follow suit, and it's encouraging that the series will continue its focus on female characters into the future.
