McShay has Bryce Young of Alabama as the top quarterback pick in this mock draft, which makes sense given that the Indianapolis Colts are searching for a signal caller and owner Jim Irsay has indicated they would consider taking Young.

McShay points out that Young has an impressive college record and twice won the Heisman Trophy. With such a stellar resume, McShay believes Young can improve on his impressive numbers from last season.

Another intriguing prospect in this draft is EDGE Myles Murphy. This player can have a significant impact on Green Bay's defensive scheme and should be seriously considered by the Packers, especially if they choose to run on quarterbacks early in the draft.

According to ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., Belichick is taking a more relaxed approach this year with regards to the draft and could wait until the third or fourth rounds before selecting an elite defensive player or linebacker for the Patriots. This prediction comes from his latest three-round mock draft for the team.

Kiper has mocked the Patriots to trade out of their 21st overall pick in the draft and acquire Kansas City's 29th pick, 94th pick and 121st pick. While this move makes sense when considering Kansas City's potential at those positions, it's an intriguing strategy for a team without any first or second round picks.

In the second round, however, the Patriots make an informed choice by selecting Memphis offensive lineman Dylan Parham. This two-year starter made 51 starts last season and has the athleticism to play guard in the NFL. Furthermore, he's an impressive blocker who could serve as a valuable backup at both right and left tackle spots down the line.

He may be a long shot to start, but Parham is certainly an improvement over last year's starters at this position - Ryan Allen and Nate Boston. Additionally, Parham is an experienced veteran with experience at both guard spots and right tackle, something the Patriots are looking for in a starter.

Another possible selection for the Chiefs could be Oregon State tight end Luke Musgrave. He has the versatility to play inside or outside and could provide Patrick Mahomes with a dynamic target.

Utah cornerback Jordan Booth is another potential selection. He's a smooth player with excellent ball skills who can play both outside and in the slot. While not an especially promising prospect, Booth could prove to be an effective starter for the right team.

As a fourth potential pick for the Chiefs, Washington defensive back Trent McDuffie is another intriguing option. He's physical and versatile enough to play both inside and outside, with college film showing that he could be an instant starter. Though not the biggest or fastest corner in the draft, his football IQ makes him an excellent option that could make an immediate impact player for the Chiefs.

Carolina Panthers’ First-Round Pick

On Friday, the Carolina Panthers traded their first-round pick to the Chicago Bears for an impressive haul. In exchange for Panthers' ninth overall selection, Chicago received a first-round pick in 2024, a second-round pick in 2025 and wide receiver DJ Moore; all while receiving their ninth overall selection.

This deal will give the Panthers a quarterback they've been searching for since the infamous "Cam Newton trade." But it remains uncertain who that quarterback might be; options include Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, Kentucky's Will Levis and Florida's Anthony Richardson.

Ultimately, the Panthers' greatest need is at quarterback. They have been relying on veteran trades and a few young players to fill the position, but this approach cannot last. Instead, it's time for a long-term solution.

Carolina can achieve this by selecting a quarterback with their first-round pick. According to Mel Kiper's mock draft, Carolina would select Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson with the ninth overall selection.

ESPN reports that Richardson is an incredibly gifted signal-caller with the potential to become a franchise quarterback in the future. Nonetheless, he remains a raw player and may not be ready for primetime just yet.

Other candidates that might interest the Panthers include Iowa defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness, Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon. All three players possess great potential to make an impact during their rookie season as professionals.

Another option is to target a tackle position, which has become an area of weakness in recent years for the Panthers. With their sixth overall pick, Carolina could select either North Carolina State's Ikem Ekwonu or Charles Cross from Mississippi State as potential left tackles.

Ikem Ekwonu is an ideal pick for the Panthers due to his versatility as a pass-blocker and ability to play both inside and outside. His quick movements create mismatches in the pocket, while his relentless motor makes him hard to block on third down.
