BABYMONSTER - Introducing #CHIQUITA
YG Entertainment's BABYMONSTER is quickly establishing itself as a global music sensation. Their first video has already captured the attention of global music enthusiasts, particularly YG's Thai member Chiquita.
In the video, Lisa from BLACKPINK makes an appearance and presents personalized gifts to BABYMONSTER's Thai trainees.
Chiquita stands out in a sea of talent YG has assembled. Her stunning looks and impressive vocals have already earned her high praise, cementing her place as one of YG's most highly coveted and talented members. But will she be able to keep up with all the competition? We will find out in the coming weeks, months, and years.
Pharita is the sixth member of YG's upcoming girl group, BABYMONSTER. At 17 years old, she hails from Thailand and will make her debut this year. Earlier in 2018, YG revealed that seven members would make their debut together.
In a new introduction video, YG Entertainment revealed that Pharita has been an intern with their agency since 2020. To pass her training program, she had to pass through an international audition consisting of 1,226 applicants. After making it to the final round, Pharita placed second overall.
After her successful audition, Pharita signed with YG and has been training hard in preparation for her debut on the world stage.
She is an ardent singer-songwriter aiming to make her mark in the industry with her powerful vocals. She has a special affinity for animals and loves visiting zoos; her favorite animal being a giraffe.
When she's not singing or dancing, she loves spending time with her friends. Additionally, she is an avid anime fan and finds it enthralling.
Like her fellow members of BABYMONSTER, she hopes to one day become as famous as Lisa with her charismatic personality. In fact, she views Lisa as her role model and hopes to achieve similar levels of talent and success.
Pharita strives to find the thrill in her dancing when practicing, as this helps her project more confidence and charisma. That has been one of the primary reasons why she has been such a huge fan of BLACKPINK, especially Lisa.
She shares many similarities with Lisa, such as her love for animals and birds. Additionally, she admits to being very shy when speaking on camera but hopes to conquer these fears and enhance her skillset in the future.
Her daily regimen involves pampering her hair and skin with moisturizers and Vaseline, as well as getting enough sleep.
As she matures, her ambition is to become a successful singer and actress. She dreams of traveling the world and discovering different cultures and languages.
YG Entertainment recently unveiled a video featuring BABYMONSTER's youngest member, Chiquita. At thirteen years old, she had the shortest training period of any of the group's seven members - Ruka, Pharita, Rora, Asa, Ahyeon and Haram included.
The video also features a special appearance from Lisa, one of the few Thai artists signed with YG and its first female artist to debut under its banner. Lisa has served as mentor to the maknae since 2021, helping them prepare for their big debut in 2023.
She even surprised them with some personalized gifts to make their day extra special, including an autographed LALISA album for them. With such a talented supporting cast and Lisa on board to guide them, BABYMONSTER looks set for great success in 2019.
It's no shock that YG is thrilled with their new girl group, which could potentially become the next great K-pop act. With the right marketing and the right members, they have a great chance of taking over the industry. Plus, all of the girls are adorable and seem to be having an awesome time together.
YG is one of the world's biggest entertainment companies, known for producing some of K-pop's biggest hits. They've signed artists such as Sechs Kies, Big Bang, Akdong Musician, Blackpink and Treasure among others; plus they produce movies and TV shows like YG NEXT MOVEMENT which was recently released in film form.
Last month, YG released a teaser video for their newest girl group, BABYMONSTER. Comprised of seven members, the group is set to debut in 2023.
BABYMONSTER features Chiquita (Thailand), Prita (Thailand), Asa (Japanese), Rora (South Korean), Ahyeon (South Korean) and HR (Hyerin/Haram). These girls represent one of YG Entertainment's most diverse rosters ever formed, consisting of members with various nationalities.
Fans have praised them for their stunning visuals and captivating voices, believing that these girls possess incredible talent that can rival the best in their genre.
Their YouTube videos have generated over 630,000 subscribers and 46 million views so far, leading to an uptick in sales and YG's revenue from content production.
In addition to their YouTube views, these members have earned income from YouTube since their video was uploaded - making it the first group YG Entertainment has ever made money from YouTube. This has resulted in an extension of their contract which could result in greater royalties for YG from these new singers as well as additional opportunities in the music industry.
Chiquita, the youngest member of YG's BabyMonster girl group, made her debut on January 23. A native of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, Chiquita joined the group as part of its newest member recruitment drive.
She previously sang for the cover group RedRose. A native Thai speaker, she speaks both English and Korean fluently.
Chiquita, the youngest member to be revealed by YG, has won over fans with her stunning visuals and beautiful voice. She's been affectionately dubbed "K-pop's little queen" by some.
She is a fan favorite and will release her own EP in February 2023. Fans are expecting something different from the typical BABYMONSTER sound with songs that are more intimate and edgy.
